Lucas returned to his tribe with the hunting caravan. As soon as the light cold season hit them, his father the Wolf King summoned him to lead the silver wolves to hunt for the upcoming heavy cold season. Because it was almost impossible for one to hunt or find food during the latter. Until the cold season ends and spring arrives, it is ideal for them to horde as much food as they can to survive.

Reaching the tribe’s entrance, Lucas made his way inside while informing his tribesmen to clean all the prey that they brought back so that it could be smoked and salted. And later it was his mother’s duty to distribute an adequate amount of meat to each of the families inside their tribe. Offcourse females and cubs took the utmost priority regarding this matter. If the said female was pregnant then the prey she would receive was high compared to others. Meanwhile, the bachelor beastmen..... were never really given importance. This was how it was done in the best city and as well as all over the Beast world.

"Welcome back pup!" a sweet voice brought him out of his thoughts. Lucas felt a smile grace his face while he faced his mother. The Silver Wolf queen hurriedly stepped toward her son before hugging him, "I have missed you my little pup. You really should visit the tribe often, at least to see me and your father"

But the one to answer her was not Lucas but instead, it was her mate, King Helio. The latter had a soft smile identical to his son on his face as he said, "He is not our little pup anymore, love. Lucas is a mated beastman with a female and cubs to take care of" his last words indicated that he saw the lion cubs as Lucas’ rather than Noah’s. Those little furballs adored his son and Helio’s heart warmed whenever he saw them with Lucas.

"That’s right" agreed the wolf queen on her mate’s words, "Our little pup is not our own anymore" She knew this better than anyone else. Her father beast loved and cared for her the most in the entire world but the exception here was her mother. The love her father had for her mother was beyond everything else and couldn’t be compared. This was also the same for all the mated males. Their mates were their priority no matter the circumstances.

"I love you, as well Mother," Lucas said when he heard his mother’s words. She sounded both understanding and as well as sad at the same time. However, he didn’t want to dissuade her words too because they were completely true. He indeed loved his mate the most.

"Alright enough with this" The wolf Queen said trying to dissipate the awkward air around them. Then she held her son’s hand before tugging him towards the castle, "Let’s go inside, I have a surprise for you"

"Surprise?" Lucas asked in confusion and glanced at his father in the query because his mother seemed too excited to reply to him. But even his father ignored him until they reached the wolf castle where Lucas finally found what was going on.

"Luke!" a clear and familiar voice greeted him as soon as he stepped inside the castle doors making him freeze. Lucas couldn’t believe his eyes. Crystal eyes mimicking his own with luscious silver hair and a beautiful face. There in his line of sight stood his little sister with a soft smile on her face, "How have you been, Luke?"

"Mona?" Lucas breathed out still trying to process his current situation. His sister was here! The one that left their tribe after mating with the tiger king had returned! And before he could think more, Lucas rushed towards his sister and captured her in a bone-crushing hug.

"Ouch! Be a little gentler big brother," Mona said in an exaggerated voice before hugging him back. She could almost sense how her presence right now was a big shock as well as a surprise for her brother. This was her plan all along. She wanted to see him surprised.

Lucas’ train of thought wasn’t far from what Mona guessed. He was indeed thunderstruck seeing his sister here in the Silver Wolf tribe. And when he pulled away, the first question that came out of his mouth was, "When did you come to the city?" there wasn’t anything he didn’t know about the city. Every matter regarding the latter would reach his ears first before it spread to others. Noah and he were responsible for looking after the city’s gates....Noah that bastard! Something suddenly flashed inside Lucas’ mind.

He looked at Mona before asking, "Did Noah know?" and his doubt turned true when his sister nodded before saying, "I wanted to surprise you"

As the pair of siblings got lost in their own world, the wolf king and queen looked at them fondly. Mona was not the king’s daughter but even then, Lucas and her bond was something unbreakable.

Coming back to Lucas, he couldn’t help but get angry at his friend. Of course, he must have known! Lucas thought with a frown but his face soon relaxed when he laid his eyes on Mona. It didn’t matter even if Noah hid the matter regarding his sister’s arrival because the most important thing here was that his sister was here. Then the next chain of queries regarding her flowed out of his mouth, "How long did it take traveling here? Who accompanied you? Did you eat something yet?"

"Ask one at a time, brother," said Mona while chuckling at his antics, and when she saw him losing his patience, she sighed before resigning herself to answer, "It took five days and four nights to reach here, and as for my company...." with that, she glanced at a certain direction making Lucas turn there.

Near a staircase opposite them, stood a man with a huge stature. Rusty Orange locks that resembled a forest fire and menacing yet captivating golden orbs paired with immaculate rugged, burly handsomeness that couldn’t be normally found in the Beast City.

"Tiger King" Lucas gave a slight bow to his brother-in-law because the latter was a tribe’s king before being his family. As a prince, it was still obligatory for him to show respect to the one in a higher position than him.

"Darling!" but unlike Lucas, his sister didn’t have any obligations. She skipped her steps toward her mate before encircling her arm onto his. The tiger king’s face softened as soon as his mate touched him. He kissed her on the side of her head before walking to Lucas, "It has been a long time, Prince Lucas"

Lucas smiled, "It indeed has been, King Sheru"
