Beauty in the beast world-Chapter 264: Another dream

"You will become my mate and nobody can change that" Lyra heard a familiar voice. Her head started to throb as she looked at the one in front of her with confusion. She was her again. In the bizarre dream that always left her confused waking up. She felt like she was getting used to this weird dream world. The woman’s body that she had occupied as always spoke even when Lyra didn’t, "Let me go, you snake!"

"That’s not going to happen" answered the snake that looked just like Blake. Was someone playing a cruel game with her right now? Why did this man look like her Blake? Lyra couldn’t even ask this to the one in front of her because the body she was in was not hers in the first place. She could not move or talk as the only thing she could do was think inside her mind and nothing else. And on the other side, Rosalie did her own thing as though Lyra was not present.

All of this felt like she was just watching Rosalie’s life play. But why was she the one watching this? What was Rosalie to her anyway? Lyra just wanted to wake up from this dream which she wouldn’t even remember once she regains consciousness.

"You don’t know who you are messing with snake" warned Rosalie, "Leave me now before I hurt you"

And that seemed to make the snake beastman amused. He tightened his hold on her waist and said with a smirk on his face, "You are so feisty. I like it"

Rosalie sighed. She had enough of this annoying fellow. Clenching her hand she manifested her water powers before hitting him with it. The snake was caught off guard and released his hold on her. He looked at her in confusion, "What did you just do?"

"It is better for you to not know" replied Rosalie before she started walking on the water and soon reached the river bank. She is a fairy that came to the beast world by mistake and did not wish to cause any more trouble. Trifling with mortals was not something fitting for her. Worst, she could be punished if she did something here.

Hence, she made up her mind and informed the snake, "Forget whatever you saw today" Getting into trouble with the upper entities was the last thing she wanted. By now, the fairy world would be in chaos with her missing but Rosalie didn’t mind. She wanted to somehow remove Xenon’s thoughts from her mind and only by staying away from her house could she do that.

The snake beastman just looked at her without reacting. He seemed to have gone into shock seeing her powers. Rosalie felt guilty for hitting him and as Lyra had no choice other than seeing this, she decided to know more about her dream, "I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that to you" she apologized and left.

Rosalie wanted to venture into the forest which was very different from the fairy world and was doing just that until she felt someone following her. She wanted fo to ignore it in the beginning but couldn’t when the following was done very blatantly.

"Why are you following me, Snake?" Rosalie asked turning back and coming face-to-face with the sneaky snake that was not so sneaky in following her.

"What is your name, Female?" But instead of answering her, the man asked for her name catching her off guard.

"And why should I tell you that?" Rosalie asked while crossing her arms on her chest. She was not liking how this snake was acting so casually with her. But what she heard next made her frown.

"Are you the same as me?" the man’s voice was calm and serene. It was as though he was discussing something normal and Rosalie felt weird due to that because she couldn’t comprehend what he trying to say.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked to make sure.

"I don’t have a name. Are you like that too?"

His answer made her speechless. She opened and closed her mouth several times trying to find the proper to say to him to no avail. What could she say to a person that was saying that he did not have a name? No one in the world was without a name. That was the most basic thing a living being should have.

"I’m Rosalie" Maybe it was because she felt bad for him, but she ended up giving her name which made the man smile widely. He crossed the distance between them and stood right in front of her, "Rose.....my Rose"

"Don’t call me that" She said with a frown on her face. It felt weird hearing that name from an unfamiliar man.

The only thing he did in return was smile. He kept on smiling as he walked by her side as she explored the forest. The man even took it upon himself to show her the best places inside the forest. Waterfalls, wild fields, and many other beautiful places were included which sent Rosalie into a daze.

She looked at the sheer magnificence of nature in the mortal forest in awe. It was a very beautiful place. And the one accompanying her seemed like a person that spoke less. He gave her the space she required and didn’t bother her maybe after seeing the powers. However, she felt strangely calm in this stranger’s presence.

After Xenon’s betrayal, even breathing felt like a chore. She wanted to escape to someplace where no one would find her and here she was. But the one thing that went against her plan was meeting this snake beastman.

"Take me as your mate" Rosalie was startled hearing his sudden words. She turned to look at him with her face aghast, "What did you just say?"

"Huff" Lyra woke up with a start. Her heart thundered against her chest. She hit her chest trying to stop the stifling feeling inside it. A sob left her lips as tears surged in her eyes. Why was this happening to her? Why did she remember that dream this time? Yes, Lyra indeed recalled everything she had seen in Rosalie’s body. But she didn’t understand what this meant to her.

Victor frowned when he felt a movement beside him, "Sweet girl?" he groggily called while propping himself up. And when he saw his mate, all of his sleep went away. She was crying!

"What’s wrong? Why are you crying sweet girl!?" he hurriedly asked pulling his mate towards him. Then something flashed in his mind, "Did you have a nightmare?" that was the only explanation, and when he received an affirming nod from her, his doubt turned into conviction. Those damned dreams!

"What happend this time? By any chance do you remember it?" He was not sure about that. His mate never seemed to recall her dreams. She only sobbed and tried to find Blake but nothing else.

Lyra cried, "I do. I don’t know why but I can recall it"

"Good", sighed Victor, "Do you want to talk about it? You don’t have to if you feel uncomfortable" As much as he wanted to hear his mate’s troubles, he didn’t want to force her into sharing them. What good would come out if was forced to talk when she didn’t even want to?

"I was inside a woman’s body" Lyra started, "Rosalie....that was what everyone called her. She is a fairy just like me and her face resembled mine"

Victor tightly hugged his mate and caressed her back as she continued, "I also met a man that looked just like Blake. He was also a snake beastman and he asked me...no, Rosalie to be his mate"

"Go on...." he encouraged but Lyra shook her head, "That was it. That was everything I saw before I woke up. Victor, why is this happening to me?"

Victor had no words as her reply. He just observed his mate’s frightened face and frowned, "Think of it as just another nightmare, sweet girl"

"No" Lyra refused, "It is not that simple, Victor. I can feel everything. I can feel all of Rosalie’s emotions that it scares me. My heart hurts every time I wake up from that dream. I cannot discard it as just a nightmare...I just can’t"

Darcio opened his eyes, "Something is wrong. What have seen, my lady? Why did you have to recall it after all this time?"

He had made sure to stop those memories from reaching them. The snake king had still not realized but Lady Lyra was different. She was a fairy that could not be easily manipulated by a mortal like himself.

However, there was nothing good about that memories, "Please don’t recall it, my lady. I beg of you" he pleaded to Lyra, "If you recall it then there is nothing that can be done to stop him from waking up"

"That betrayer Xenon should never wake up. If he does then both you and the snake king will fall in danger"
