Kaizer took and deep breath trying to calm his nerves. The scent of sex and the sound of pleasure-filled moans coming from the kitchen was too strong for him to stay sane. He had experienced something similar to this with his parents in the past. Although, his father failed to mark his mother, both of them were very passionate with each other. It was to the level where Kaizer regretted ever having such parents. The number of times he had caught them in an act was countless. Hence, he was taking extra care in stopping the little snakes from going anywhere near the kitchen.

Seeing one’s parents in such a situation could turn very traumatizing for them and from his personal experience, he never wished even an enemy of his to go through something like that. It was really horrible.

While the little snakes did want to go and find their Mama, they were reluctant to leave their sleeping little brothers alone with Kaizer. They thought of him as nothing but a stranger for now. They had also seen Kaizer fight against their tribe and still felt bitter about it. More than anything else, whenever a new male came into their house, they were tactful enough to understand that the said male was to become their Mama’s mate. Their Dad has explained everything very clearly. In the world where they lived, females could take multiple mates for their protection, so even if they felt envious of sharing their mother’s love with so many, they knew that they have to accept this first before they grow into adulthood so that they could get mates for themselves.

If they become hurt now by their mother then they will have no chance with females in the future. Their dad also said that he was very possessive when he had first met their Mama. He informed them about their mother getting kidnapped due to having less mates. "What are you guys thinking about?" asked Kaizer as he observed the little snakes so deep in thought that they took their eyes off of their precious little brothers. From the moment, he held the lion cubs in his arms, the snakes had not left him out of their gazes. It was very admirable of them to love their brothers this much. Males didn’t really have this kind of affection for other males. Kaizer could guess why the little snakes were different. It was probably because their mother was a little bit different from other females. Even he was confused when she showed her affection openly to all of her mates and children.

Females generally didn’t do that. They were heads of their families and kept it together with firmness and ruthlessness. His bunny however seemed nothing like that. In fact, when he forced her to take him as her mate, she could have easily refused it by giving up on her useless mates but she didn’t. That made Kaizer glad and as well as worry at the same time. If she remains this soft, then someone can use her mates and children to hurt her. He was sure that she would rush in a heartbeat to sacrifice herself to save her loved ones. As much as that was good, it was equally bad as well. That too in the beast world where the kill or be killed notion is prevalent, her gentle demeanor could become something that would harm her in the long run.

Well, he was being a hypocrite here because that nature of hers was the reason he was here in her house in the first place. He too used her weakness to get his place by her side so complaining about that seemed wrong.

To get his head out of those thoughts, he once again tried to interact with the little snakes to no avail. They didn’t seem very fond of him.

Meanwhile, the lion cubs in his arms were still sleeping soundly without the care of the world. He didn’t know how they could be so relaxed in a stranger’s arms. Even though they are small, their senses would definitely be sharp enough to detect him as a stranger. Predators mostly didn’t do something like this but well, it seemed like the Cubs trusted him.

His trail of thoughts came to a halt when he sensed a familiar scent coming out of the kitchen. Victor was carrying a bundled figure covered in a robe in his arms. The latter cast a glance at him before turning back and walking away from there.

Kaizer’s chest clenched painfully when he saw his bunny like that. Seeing this was harder than he had thought. He has to get used to sights like these or he wouldn’t be able to live here.

Once Victor reached the room, he settled his mate on the bed. Then he returned with a bowl of water and a piece of clothing before starting to wipe her entire body. He wiped her face first followed by her neck and halted his hands at his mate’s heaving chest. She was taking slow and deep breaths indicating that she was in slumber.

Victor gulped down his own saliva and his urge to touch those perfect bouncy mounds of hers increased. No matter how many times he touched or caressed them, it seemed not enough for him. He cursed at the upper entities that made his mate this perfect.

He tightly closed his eyes trying to stop his dirty thoughts before opening them. This time, he made it quick by wiping her down in a record time. Then he took one of his mate’s dresses before putting her in it. His sweet girl whimpered in distress maybe because he kept on moving her.

When he was done with clothing his mate, he wiped himself down before lying by her side. He observed his mate’s face. She looked so serene sleeping like this. His hand moved on its own to caress her face before gently stroking the side of her head, "My lovely mate" a whisper left his mouth, "Why did you keep on attracting those weird beasts? Is it due to your beautiful face? And how dare that motherfucker betray you?" When Victor heard about Kyrell’s deed from Blake, it made him furious to no end, "How can someone even do that to you?" he really didn’t understand why Kyrell mated with another female and he let that female of his to hit his sweet girl?

"They will suffer for what they did to you, sweet girl" Victor declared, "I vow that I will make them wish they were dead"

How dare they do this to his precious female to whom he would destroy the entire world if needed? Kyrell that two-faced bastard would die in his hands.

"Mmm," Victor’s thoughts stopped when he saw his mate fidget in her place. He pulled her near him and rubbed her back soothingly. Lyra struggled in her place for a while before burying her face in Victor’s chest. His high body temperature helped her in calming down and in no time she dozed off.

A smile bloomed on Victor’s face when he felt his mate comfortable in his embrace. He encircled his arm around her body before slightly squeezing her, "My mate.....my everything. I love you, sweet girl"

As Victor and Lyra dozed off in each other’s arms, Demir back in the kitchen, cleaned the entire place. He glanced at the burnt food on the stove and shook his head. It seemed like there was not going to be a Christmas today. His mate looked too exhausted to do something. This left him with time to do what he was supposed to. The Eagle tribe had a debt to pay after all.

That wretched eagle bastard dared to backstab his mate. Demir didn’t mind that fact but what really bothered him was hearing about his mate getting slapped by some wench. He was never the one to disrespect females but that wench who hit his mate, did she think that there would be no repercussions to what she did? To tactlessly attack a queen of multiple tribes would never end well and he would make sure to show how badly she messed up.

Thereupon cleaning the kitchen, he stepped out of it to only see Kaizer in the living room with the cubs and little snakes. The addition of another male into their family still bothered him but he didn’t want to cause any trouble because he respected his mate’s decision. He briefly glanced at the rootless beastman before leaving that place.

Firstly, he went to the bathhouse and took a warm bath before putting on a new and fresh robe. The one he was wearing before was filled with their mating traces. Then he left the snake castle and soon reached his destination, the Scorpion tribe.
