Beauty in the beast world-Chapter 255: Revealing everything

After Lyra left the living room, all of her mates pointedly looked at Kaizer. Whereas the latter seemed relaxed as he walked toward the wooden couch and settled himself. The seat he was sitting in was surprisingly comfortable with stuffed animal skin cushions sprawled along the bench.

"Get right to the point or I will kill you" Kaizer’s happy moment didn’t last long because of Killian’s threat.

Killian was already annoyed enough by this rootless beastman and didn’t know what he would do if this continued. The one reason he held himself back from acting out was because of his mate. He knew her well. She wouldn’t have done this without a reason and he wanted to respect her decision no matter what it was. However, this...bringing a rootless beastman to their house and announcing him as her mate. How could he not react when something this absurd was happening? But he decided to hear this rootless beastman before deciding to do something.

Demir likewise glared at Kaizer waiting for the latter to speak. He was shaken up seeing his mate so distraught and wanted to quickly find out the reason for that. He had just become his sunshine’s mate and wanted to understand her better even if it meant asking her other mates.

Meanwhile, Victor was trying to change his spontaneous behavior a little. He realized that he had been immature in the past and was attempting to alter it to be a good mate to his sweet girl from now on. He also observed that no one was taking him seriously these past few days and always hid things in order to not trigger him and Victor hated that more than anything. He wanted to prove that he was just as reliable as the others.

Whereas, Lucas still couldn’t comprehend his friend’s behavior. The latter looked so drowned in sorrow that he did not even interact with the cubs when they joyfully went to their father. And when the little ones didn’t get their father’s attention, they ran right back to Lucas while whining and complaining about their father. With a sigh, he picked them up from the ground before cuddling them between his arms. Soon the Cubs fell asleep maybe due to all the playing they did from the dawn till dusk.

Kaizer forgot to talk as he started at the Cubs in Lucas’s arms. These creatures would not have been safely born if he hadn’t stopped that witch master from the fox tribe that day during his bunny’s labor. So he decided to start by informing this matter to them first, "That day when the lion cubs were born, a witch master from the fox tribe was trying to do something to our mate until I stopped him and dragged him out of there"

"What?" Blake who returned from his mate’s room stood shocked as he heard Kaizer’s words.

Killian’s jaw clenched, "Don’t talk nonsense" What the hell was this bastard spouting? He waited for the former to tell him that he was lying but Kaizer was adamant about what he said.

He reclined in his seat before repeating, "I don’t care if you believe me or not. It’s not like you can make me leave just because you want to" Then he roamed his eyes on all of them before adding, "It was my choice to come here and I will also be the one to decide when I leave, not like that’s happening any time soon" He was being this calm and composed because he wanted to stay here with his bunny and the sad part was that she cherished all of her mates even though they were weak by his standards. And if he wanted to remain by her side, then he had no other option than getting along with her other mates. And he would try to do just that if they let him be. He will not attack first but if needed he would defend himself. Kaizer wanted to stay with her for a long time and he vowed that he would end anyone that disturbs his goal.

So this also meant that he would reveal all the truth to them about what had happend until now, "After I dragged him out of the Lion tribe, I investigated and found out that he was working for the Late fox king" As soon as he said that, Kaizer expected them to be surprised but instead it seemed like they already knew about the late Fox king trying to hurt to their mate, "You guys knew?" he asked just to make sure and received a reply from Victor.

"We always knew that Fox King was trying to harm our mate but this matter during her labor....no one was aware of that" Victor had a hard time comprehending everything Kaizer was saying. Their mate was in danger during her most vulnerable moment and none of them were aware of that. They were standing right there in front of the labor room while their enemy was plotting on hurting his sweet girl behind their backs.

Killian too felt the depth of their situation. No matter how vigilant they stayed, it would just take a moment of lapse for the enemies to attack them. He was grateful for the one that killed the late fox king...wait. His eyes went to Kaizer, "Is it you?....the one that killed the late Fox king"

The reply he received for that was a simple shoulder shrug from Kaizer and that itself confirmed everything for them.

Noah who hadn’t talked a single word until now stepped towards Kaizer while asking, "Really? Was it really you?"

Kaizer smirked, "I heard that you and the city guards failed to track the perpetrator. Well, you failed because it was me"

That made sense to everyone standing there. Seeing Kaizer’s power and ability in masking his presence even from other immortal beastmen was a testament enough to his capability. Only someone like him or on par with him would be able to kill without leaving any evidence behind. He could just create illusions confusing the ones investigating into making mistakes.

Demir who always thought of ending the late Fox king looked at Kaizer in a new light. He was also someone that believed in terminating the threat before it grows powerful enough to attack them. Which he felt he should have done from the beginning. After hearing about the witch master that tried to harm his sunshine, his conviction grew even more.

Kaizer observed all of them and could see them deep in thought, "Today when I saw her, there was a bruise forming on her cheek and it looked new" This was what he wanted to know the most. Her crying figure back in the rose castle was still bugging his mind and he would not feel relieved until he learns about what happend to her. What the heck happened for her to cry so sadly? And that too while muffling her sobs with her hands seemingly not wanting others to find out.

Victor glanced at Blake as soon as Kaizer finished his words. But it was not like Blake knew the whole story and that made him look at Noah. The only thing the latter said to him was about Kyrell’s betrayal and before he could ask more, his mate’s shouting brought them to the room where Kaizer and Xavier were there with her.

Noah who received an inquiring gaze from everyone soon parted his lips and explained, "When we reached the Eagle tribe, the one to welcome us was not Kyrell but his mate"

"Kyrell’s mate?" Lucas asked hesitantly, "What do you mean by that?"

"It’s just as I said," Noah said, "Kyrell has mated with a female from his tribe, and that same female warned us to not interfere with them" All of them were already seething hearing his words, so he hesitated before adding the most important thing, "That female also slapped our mate. She got angry when baby dove insisted on meeting Kyrell"

His words came to an end but the impact it left was otherworldly. Each thing that Noah uttered made Lyra’s mates seeth in anger.

"And what was Kyrell doing when all of this was happening?" asked Killian, "Where the hell was that son of a bitch when this occurred!?"

"He never showed his face.....not once did he come out when his mate was harassing our mate"

"What about you?" snapped Victor, "What were you doing when some wench hit our mate? Were you standing there letting her do it?"

Noah had nothing to say. He didn’t want to make up an excuse for his mistake. In a single day, reality hit him. He could protect no one if he was this weak.

"What about you Blake?" Victor asked Blake when Noah pathetically stood while lowering his head.

"They didn’t even let me enter the tribe. I wasn’t able to do anything. I should have gone...How dare they to my Lilly" Blake said through his gritted teeth while still musing about everything Noah said.
