Li Ming lets out a light sigh, thought for a moment. He didn’t hurry to the gas station now but parks the off-road vehicle downstairs of the apartment building, unloads the medicines and the tools from the hardware store, then carries a bunch of stuff to the fifth floor.

“You brought back so much stuff.”
Zhang Yuan spotted Li Ming returning from her window early on. She rushed to open the door for him as soon as he reached the fifth-floor stairwell, and seeing that he had brought back a pile of medicines, she quickly took them from him in surprise.
“The internet café and the hardware store are close by. On the way back, I grabbed a lot of commonly used medicines from a pharmacy. There’s also stuff from the hardware store. I have quite a lot; you’ll need to come back downstairs and pick up the rest with me.”

The two of them teamed up to lift a heavy box while Li Ming carried another one; moving in unison to the fifth floor. The struggle they faced lightened the tension between them considerably.
After everything had been brought in and put away, Li Ming finally felt that he had settled the items he found.
After that, noticing an unusual atmosphere between the two women, he pulled them both into a hug. He then left them to rest at home as he ventured out again, long spear in hand.
He had to figure out how to acquire diesel fuel for the generator, that way, they could maintain a normal lifestyle.
Since he was already out today, he figured he might as well resolve all their problems in one fell swoop!
The moment he left, Zhang Yuan, stood by the window, watching Li Ming depart with worry in her eyes.
