Chapter 78 - 156
As the people worked with all their might despite their hunger, the sun gradually fell.
Back at camp, the other base camp from the other side of the kingdom had made their way to this location.
The dragon scales had also returned.
She must be nearby, it’s good that she’s alive.
Sitting around in the tent which inhabited all of the highest ranking, multiple commanders stood around.
"So let me get this straight, you want me to expend my men to walk straight into the demon king’s domain." A commander with long luscious black hair rubbed his eyes together.
"Yes that’s exactly right." Incus leaned her chair back, nearly tipping over.
"Pardon my language but what the fuck?" He slammed his palm on the table, "That’s nothing but a suicide mission, if you want us to go then you better have a safety net in place."
"I will suffice." Incus smirked, looking more like a thug than a hero because of the fact that she was wearing a tunic attire.
"That’s not enough—!" The commander with luxurious hair bared his teeth.
"That’s enough. You will be going to aid Incus in her mission on my orders." Queen Evecles glared coldly.
"You command, my will." The commander bowed, "But even so, the elite army of Febritust has been dwindled to a meager six thousand... four thousand of my men has died in this battle, and this raid wasn’t done by a demon general..."
"A battle against the demon king will be much more dire." Commander Cage continued his sentence.
"Like I told commander Cage, the kingdom of Febritust won’t be the only Kingdom that will be helping." Incus yawned before walking out of the tent, "In any case, I’ll be headed to bed. Just distribute my plate of food."
"We don’t even have a single fish." The commander with luscious black hair grimaced.

Standing inside the palace, Queen Evecles had connected a communication line through her magic.
A screen made of water was showing the wavelengths of the other person’s voice.
"This is Queen Evecles of the water kingdom of Febritust." Queen Evecles said softly.
"This is the representative king of Jansoara... Radeius Wordkeeper."
"Representative..? What happened to the king? There’s no way that lazy fat slob would leave his quarters!" Queen Evecles chuckled.
A momentarily pause of silence filled the air.
"What do you mean queen Evecles, our king should be there with you."
Queen Evecles tilted her head.
"If he was then I would’ve heard of his untimely arrival, wait why would he even be here—?"
"I’m talking about Hero King Incus."
"Huh?" Queen Evecles tilted her head to face Incus.
Waving her hand, Incus gave an eerie smile.
"Incus is the king..?" Queen Evecles said hesitantly.
"That is correct, she had slain the previous king due to his corruption. You’d best listen to Incus unless you would want to meet the same end as the lineage of the Everlight."
A cold sweat then fell down Queen Evecles’ face before clearing her throat.
"Moving on, I wanted to ask if you can send over some resources to Febritust. We have a famine in our hands, the food that we did have in storage was quickly diminished." Queen Evecles’ said desperately.
"Of course, it will arrive in a week at the soonest. You can converse with Incus about anything regarding the kingdom of Jansoara unless it’s something that she can’t do."
"Okay, that will be it for now then." Queen Evecles the waved a dismissing hand, the screen of water splashed to the ground and seeped into the waterways.
Sitting down on her throne Queen Evecles slumped back with a sigh.
"Incus, which kingdoms have agreed to invade the demon king’s territory?" Queen Evecles asked.
"You don’t need to worry about it, by the time it starts we’ll have more than enough men to coheres the attack." Incus replied, "Most importantly is how much of Febritust has been restored. My battle has broken a few buildings, not like causing a few more to tumble would do anything, it was practically already in bad shape by the time I’ve arrived."
"It’s almost over, I’ve finished draining the excess water and opened the canals after purifying every water source." A double chin appeared on Queen Evecles’ face as she continued to slouch even further.
"How long would construction take?" Incus lingered for a moment before asking another question:
"Hold on, have you truly checked every water source?"
"Yes I did, why do you doubt me?" Queen Evecles raised a fist in anger.
"...Does that include the sewer system?" Incus pointed downwards.
Jumping out of her throne, Queen Evecles started to run.
"Shit! How could I forget something so important, I blame you Incus for distracting me!" She pouted, walking over the large serpent that acted as a bridge.
She then stood in front of the moat which separated the middle and outer sanctum of the kingdom.
"There is a giant manhole cover underneath, but I haven’t gone down there in centuries, I usually let my knights do the maintenance." Queen Evecles gently scratched her cheek.
Sighing, Incus asked:
"Well then, where is it?"
"Well... I sort of forgot?" Queen Evecles shrugged.
Raising a fist, Incus was about to hit her for her insolence and Queen Evecles covered her head.
Calming herself down, Incus looked down at the moat.
"So how do I enter the sewers, does the manhole have a hatch or is it completely smooth flat?" Incus started to stretch.
"You’ll be able to see it, there’s a carving depicting me from a few centuries ago." Queen Evecles did a circular motion, implying that the manhole cover was going to look like a circle.
"We should start stretching as well." I said.
Nodding, the five... no, three of us started stretching our arms and legs.
Getting suddenly grabbed by Incus, Queen Evecles blushed.
"W-What are you—?"
"You’re not expecting for me to go alone in there are you? How else would I purify the water?" Incus then dived into the water.
Taking in deep breaths we dove in after her.
