Han Ruochen told Han Jianyou a few more things and then stepped out of the school. But as soon as she walked past the security guard’s post, she saw something rushing toward her. Realising that something was amiss, she immediately dodged to one side.

Startled, she looked at Yun Xirou, who was lying on the ground looking dishevelled, and was speechless. This girl—she was just like her sister. Han Ruochen was still hesitating on whether or not to help this girl and make her stand up, as she was worried that Yun Xirou would blame her for hurting her, but then the girl crawled to her feet on her own and glared at her.

"Why did you dodge!?"

"What was I supposed to do?" Han Ruochen felt speechless. It was one thing to be vicious, but it was another thing to be stupid and vicious. This girl looked like a very bad combination of both of those things.

Yun Xirou’s eyes widened as her breathing turned harsh. "You—it’s all your fault! It’s because of you that I got a demerit! Why don’t you take your stupid brother and die somewhere!?"

When Han Ruochen heard her shameless words, she was so angry, she could not help but laugh.

She wanted to hit someone, but then she realised that the woman in front of her was more than ten years younger than her. If she dared to hit her, then everyone would say that she was bullying a junior. Ignoring the look of hatred in the eyes of the woman, she turned around and walked away. When Yun Xirou saw her leaving, she panicked. She wanted Han Ruochen to hurt her so that she could make a fuss. If she left just like that, how would she regain the lost sympathy?

"It will be better if you don’t follow me." Han Ruochen realised that the girl was not going to let her leave easily. She turned her head partially to look at Yun Xirou and sneered coldly when she saw that the girl had been scared away by her tone. She snorted and walked away without looking back. Yun Xirou wanted to deal with her? She was still too naive!

It wasn’t until Han Ruochen walked quite far away that Yun Xirou snapped out of her daze. She stomped her feet, looking rather upset. Why did she feel so scared just now?

Yun Xirou was unwilling, but there was nothing she could do about Han Ruochen. Humph! Just wait; even if she could not deal with Han Ruochen, she could always make trouble for that motherless brat, Han Jianyou. She spat in Han Ruochen’s direction and rushed back to school. Realising that there was something amiss, Han Ruochen turned around and walked over to the man. "What happened, uncle? My mom is still working. Did something happen? Are you looking for my mom for something urgent? I can bring you to my mom’s workplace."

"Your dad got injured by a wild pig. It seemed like one of the workers made a mistake, and the pig went out of control—your father protected the worker but ended up getting injured in the middle. He is in the hospital now."

"What?" Han Xuehan nearly stumbled as she heard the news of her father getting into an accident, and Han Ruochen had to reach out and stabilise her. She never expected such a thing to happen.

Han Ziyan was scared stiff when she heard that Han Yichen ended up getting into an accident. Her eyes became wet, and tears started to roll down her face. "Then...then is my dad alright? He ...he did not die...did he?" She had seen the pigs on the farm; they were really big – if her father came under one of the pigs, wouldn’t he be smashed to death?
