"Why am I here?"

The woman asked, clearly aware that despite being seriously injured, her mind was not muddled. She clearly remembered being abused by those drug dealers before losing consciousness, with her injuries being quite severe. Elisa’s scolding was undeniably sharp, making Locke and Jason shrink their necks in an instant, turning them into quails, daring not to speak further.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh aside. She also thought Elisa’s scolding seemed quite justified; in such a situation, partners should remain calm, instead of impulsively crashing into the enemy’s lair, attempting mutual destruction—which was indeed foolish.

After reprimanding the two companions, Elisa seemed to realize the situation had already occurred, scolding more now was too late, and besides, they were rescued by Huo Sining and Gu Xu. At least for now, she was safe, so she decided not to dwell on this any longer, giving Locke and Jason a few fierce glares before letting them go.
