Chapter 17 - Destiny

Standing before Amar was Richard, the captain appointed by him to supervise all the remaining 299 soldiers guarding the estate.

Behind Richard stood the 50 most capable soldiers, all had their heads bowed in respect for their new master.

"Sir, the wall around the big estate is almost half-done."

"These walls are no different from a castle, with this our area will become fully secure."

"It's just that the fund has almost dried off, many villagers are demanding money before they work more."

There was a sense of helplessness on Richard's face.

Amar's estate was too big, the hectares of land it contained were enough to let the entire village reside in it.

"I have said it before also, money is not a problem."

"We need to hurry, use forceful means and recruit all the villagers to construct the wall, if it's not enough, drag people from the nearby villages. With my noble status, no one should dare to refuse me."

Amar's voice was resolute, without any room for bargaining.

"Yes, lord!"

"Don't worry, as long as the money is enough, meeting the deadline should not be a problem."

Richard gave an affirmative response.

"Very good, I like obedient people like you, Richard."

"As long as you follow me like this, your future achievements will be endless."

Amar flattered his employees.

"Okay, the preparation is complete? Then let's set off!"

Amar spoke decisively.

"Yes, all the fifty soldiers behind me are ready for anything you will order."

Richard nodded at Amar's question.

"Very good, then let's leave."

....

With Amar's command, under Richard's lead, all the fifty people followed behind on warhorses.

Amar looked at these horses and felt a bit distressed.

The Rana Family only offered him 70 horses, for a powerful private army, he needed much more.

In this magical world, only the strong are respected.

If one doesn't have sufficient strength then even the lofty status brought by nobility was of no use.

That's why from the start, Amar's goal has been the same: To raise his strength.

As someone who knows the game story in advance, Amar knew some cheat places.

According to the current timeline, there were two places that he could take advantage of.

First was: The Waterfall of Lylia.

It is a secret place about 80 miles from his current position.

Behind this waterfall is a secret cave, which was actually a treasure trove of an ancient dragon.

This should save their urgent financial need.

Thankfully, the dragon was long dead, otherwise, Amar would never have guts to approach that place with his incompetent body. Not to forget there are some old eggs that the dragon previously laid there. If he is lucky he might hatch one of them and keep a dragon as a pet?

The second was: The Lake of Winrey.

This was a magical place, legend has it that the secret to becoming a powerful warlock was hidden there.

The power hierarchy of this world was complex.

Except humans, there existed many races like werewolves, catgirls, dragonoids, mermaids, sirens and so on.

Those who could control magic were regarded as the apex creatures, the real powerhouses.

Even if a capable soldier like Richard seemed very strong.....against such magic practitioners, he was just a joke.

The reason the aristocratic as well as royal families could maintain their upper class for so long was because of the number of supernatural mages they possessed.

But the reality was sad for Amar.

He was born without any natural talent to practise magic using the normal ways, therefore he needed an adventure, something that could change his destiny.

That's why he must visit the Lake of Winrey.

While riding on the horseback, Amar was lost in thoughts.

"To be precise, both of these opportunities should belong to Sameera, as the protagonist of the story, her road to supremacy is long planned."

"But since I have decided to be shameless, let me take all this from you, Sameera."

In the royal castle, near a barrack, in a private room.....Sameera had just finished wearing heavy armour, beside her stood the old maid Elizabern.

"Elizabern, thanks so much for giving me the information regarding the Lake of Winrey."

"Even if it was a royal secret you still leaked it to me. I am so happy that I can earn your trust."

"After I manage to pass the test there and become a Warlock, I will give you a reward that you shall remember and cherish throughout your life."

She playfully looked at the old hag standing in front of her.

The atmosphere was ambiguous, Sameera wanted to use this opportunity to further advance their relationship, but for some reason, she felt a panic in her heart, like her opportunity was slipping away, prompting her to depart as soon as she could.
