Under the vampire Lord's protection-Chapter 135: Shapes and sizes
Chapter 135: Shapes and sizes
The light in the shop was not the brightest, but not the dimmest either. GlimmerGrob’s yellow eyes glowed, traveling up and down Arabella’s stiffened figure.
"Since when do you take women shopping around then?" emphasizing the word "you", the goblin raised an eyebrow, allowing his little feet to step forward. At some point in that process he froze, eyes widening, "A human!?" all of the sudden the amount of air he’d inhaled revealed insufficient.
The amber irises darted back and forth between the vampire and the young woman before them.
"We require feminine wear, comfortable enough for a horseback ride and an outing through the woods,"
Silas’ voice seemed to jostle GlimmerGrob out of whatever stupor had his brain locked. Straightening up, the small creature cleared his throat and began a visual assessment of her form.
"I see, I see," the grumbles came with the narrowed eyes, "Human skin is much thinner than a vampire’s, not to mention her delicate ankles would twist and bend out of shape on uneven grounds. I imagine it’d be the case for a refined looking young woman such as her, accustomed to flat and polished floors," the goblin circled around her, making a point of lifting the hem of her gown in order to check the feet it hid from sight.
The fire consuming her cheeks persisted, promising to sizzle at an even higher temperature the faster her heart pumped blood through their designated streams.
"Hop, hop! I’ve got what you need!"
GlimmerGrob spun on his heels and headed deeper into the shop, his long ears bobbing along to the motions.
"Come,"
Upon turning towards Silas, Arabella noted a small flask in his hand. The young woman assumed its walls contained Yuniper extract.
That was the only push necessary for her olfaction to perceive the restrained range of odors that filled every nook and cranny of that shop. Fresh fabric of many kinds, worn out wood and dust... Those were the dominant hints.
"Oh, I’ve already recovered my sense of scent," she said.
Silas glared at her, vial still in hand then moved closer before taking her chin between his fingers in order to get a better look at her eyes. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
His diamonds skipped left and right from one gemstone to the second, seemingly searching for something precise.
Once again, their warm breaths interlaced, mixing and ricocheting against one another only to come back and brush both of their faces periodically.
Seconds went by as Silas kept at it until GlimmerGrob’s rocky voice put an end to the moment, "Am I interrupting something?"
"No," Silas cleared his throat, stepping away from her.
"Well then, what are you waiting for? Are you coming or do I need to hold your hands?" the goblins’ words as well as his patronizing tone never failed to stun Arabella.
Silas went ahead first. She followed. The newly found quiet gave the stage away for the shop decor to shine.
Although, to call it decor was an overstatement. The mannequins appeared to have been posted at random spots around the already small room. The items and merchandize stuffing it only seconded the illusion of compression.
No attires tailored out of silk or gowns garnished the dummies. The figures were clearly feminine, but beneath the thick, long-sleeved vests covering their upper parts were pants of various colors.
Boots riddled the shelves, high on one side then lower on the other. Of leather they were fashioned, most of them brown and black.
"Like I said, your legs need protection but considering your height and shape I can’t say I have many options to suggest. The best I can offer is this," on his two arms lay a stretch of fabric, soft and cozy looking.
GlimmerGrob then held it up, spreading it before their eyes. The lower part of the pants kissed the floor due to the goblins’ height.
"Well, take it then," he, sort of, pushed it forward towards Arabella.
"Thank you," she rushed and picked the garment by the waistline.
"The fabric is a bit bulky, but it’ll protect you from any potential scratches you might sustain on the thighs, and it is elastic so whatever shape...," the goblin stared her straight around the hips, "You may have, it should fit,"
Upon gently tugging at it, Arabella confirmed that the fabric did, indeed, stretch to a certain degree.
"The shirt is sleeveless and thin, but only because a thicker vest comes on top. This one should shield your arms,"
In one hand, the shopkeeper held a hanger around which a black vest was wrapped while in the other, the holder carried the weight of a thin, white shirt.
"Hop, hop! Time to try things out!"
Without another word, GlimmerGrob ran behind Arabella, landing little shoves right on her bum, earning noticeable jolts out of her.
The goblin had pushed her inside a fitting room fashioned out of drapes before pulling the curtains on her once she was inside the small space.
"Ehh...," he exhaled loudly, "You might want to take a seat. It takes much longer for women to be done than men on average,"
Silas did not say a thing and merely glared back at him.
"Fine then, have it your way," the shopkeeper shook his head and disappeared somewhere inside the shop.
It took her a good while to get out of the heavy dress that had been covering her, but on the plus side, the young woman found putting on the new clothes much easier and less demanding in terms of effort.
Although, around the end, Arabella stood in place, grimacing as her hands fondled the tight pants that stuck to her flesh like there was no tomorrow.
"Is everything alright?" Silas’ voice came right from behind the curtain separating them.
"Yes!" she squeaked.
"Are you done?" he asked.
"Yes,"
"Well, come out then," his tone a little firmer than he wanted it to be, Silas stepped back and waited for her to reveal herself.
When she did, Silas didn’t even attempt to conceal it. The first thing that had captured his full attention was the way her breasts barely fit in that shirt that held on to dear life.
