Chapter 163: Sweet Blood

Why was he set on drinking her blood? It’s not as if he was hungry and if he was, she would have known about it. But here he was, still joking, still answering her questions. He didn’t seem to be truly depraved of food to the point of starvation. He had also said it himself that he likes drinking animal’s blood better and it didn’t seem like he wanted to kill her. If he would, he would have drank her blood with or without her permission.

But Cassius was patient, watching her with his crimson eyes that did feel thirsty for a long while as she made up her mind.

Wouldn’t it be painful? But why is it that she didn’t only fear the pain? Rather she felt like she fear something else...

"If," she started, "If you drink my blood, you will grant me one wish?"

Cassius didn’t plan on promising it but he didn’t see how that was a problem. This is Arabella after all and he nodded with a smile.

"Then don’t make it too painful," she said after making her decision. Closing her eyes, she pursed her lips and braced for the impact as if she was going to be slapped across her cheeks.

Watching this, Cassius couldn’t help but pull the right corner of his lips, finding her curled in front of him, eyes shut, and her fingers slightly trembling like a cute little rabbit in front of a hungry bad tiger who wanted to nibble her a new. But the rabbit was just far too sweet to his eyes, so adorable as it pelt its own skin and walk to the pan to be fried for his own delight.

He couldn’t help but brush the hair from her forehead and instead of biting her neck at once, he kissed her forehead which startled Arabella enough that her green eyes snapped open and she widely stare at him. frёewebηovel.cѳm

Kiss?

Her cheeks burn deep red that spread all over her ears. Giddiness filled her heart as she didn’t know how to behave. She had been hugged but it’s not as if Ariel had always kissed her forehead. The sisters had only hugged each other and so this was the first time someone had ever kissed her forehead.

It wasn’t a familial kind of kiss. Not one out of desire and felt lusty though this entire room had somehow reeked of it. It was the kind that filled knots into her stomach, making her toes curled and a sense of itchiness in her soul that she couldn’t scratch.

It felt.... Sweet.

Cassius’s kiss felt sweet.

When her eyes wondered to his lips, she schooled herself, scolding her mind for wondering how those lips would taste if she had kissed it the way he had kissed her forehead. Cassius would have noticed this if the moonlight hadn’t been engulfed briefly by the cloud, turning the night sky even darker, leaving the two of them to feel as though they had entered another realm where there was only the two of them in this wide big world.

He hadn’t said anything else since then and the silence began to feel maddening. His fingers traced the curves of her chin, his eyes full of such desire that could make anyone swoon for his soul. He kissed her forehead again and then her cheeks, as if drawing a line he then stopped at her neck and she felt his hot breath brushing against her skin which made goosebumps all over her arms to appear.

It wasn’t scary.

She could feel herself waiting for those sharp fangs to graze her skin and instead of fear, she felt a surge of exhilaration. It’s as if she was the one looking forward to be bitten when she wasn’t the one who was going to be fed.

His fingers then slid over her arms, trailing to her clutched fists and slowly he felt the missing gaps between her fingers, prying it open into a tight hold. He pinned her two hands beside her head on the wall and his lips sucked the pale skin in front of him, delighted only when he saw the budding red mark.

Arabella’s cry tasted as sweet as her skin. Then her teary green eyes stared at him, glossy and wet which made him lick his tongue.

"I’ll bite now," Cassius whispered and his voice did more damage than she could ever think, causing for shivers down to her soul as she nodded in such fragile shyness.

When it was time for his teeth to graze her skin, she could feel the wetness. Then the slight prick that entered her skin, digging down her flesh. It felt painful and tears welled to her eyes all at once against her control. The burning sensation then spread from the place where she was bitten and into her stomach.

It felt painful and it ache but when she opened her eyes, ready to tell Cassius whether he had enough of his fill so she wouldn’t continue to humiliate herself by crying, she found him licking his lips that was covered in the scarlet liquid. His eyes that were red glowed like the inferno of hell. His smile appeared between those bloodied lips and a red hue spread from his cheeks, colored in such satisfaction that made her gulp.

Cassius seemed so happy with her blood, happy with how it tasted, and happy that he was the only one to taste her.

His strong and big fingers that grabbed her hands felt so big that Arabella suddenly imagined how it would feel if it had moved toward her stomach, maybe it would warm up the knots that she had felt all this time. When she realized what thoughts had passed her mind, her skin turned even redder but it was cut short as Cassius moved forward, his tongue licking the fresh wound that made her moan to escape her lips without her will.

Then he kissed her began to drink her blood and she could know this without looking down as she could hear the sound of his throat gulping and the gasp between his lips in between his drink like a man who had walked in the desert for years and had finally take a gulp of water after the scorching afternoon....
