This Isn't an E*otic Game?-Chapter 99: The First Command
Asmodeus stood silently in the spiritual realm, looking down at Amayel.
Even when Amayel gripped Satan’s demonic sword, Baltaluch, writhing in agony.
Even when he pushed his body beyond the limits of what a human could endure through brutal body modification, until it finally collapsed, ruined beyond repair.
Even in the moment he fought the Chosen of Envy with that wrecked body.
She just looked down at him, unmoving.
No—
She had always done so.
She had always been left with no choice but to watch.
[Amayel’s not dead yet. You won’t move, will you?]
Lucifer asked from afar, shaking the chains that had emerged from Asmodeus’s wings.
Asmodeus nodded at his words.
[As long as Amayel’s soul isn’t destroyed, it’s fine.]
[Loyal as ever.]
[I’ve always been that way, haven’t I?]
Amayel °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° collapsed.
He reached out, but it was hopeless.
The three Demon Lords didn’t look like they were planning to waste this chance.
They had come fully prepared.
None of the powers Asmodeus had granted Amayel were effective.
Perhaps the outcome had been decided from the beginning.
A mere human resisting the will of three divine beings? Of course he’d end up like that.
[What a mess you are, Amayel. You don’t even realize how much stronger you’ve become.]
If it had been the version of Asmodeus before she absorbed Mammon’s divinity and devotion, it wouldn’t have been a problem.
But because her powers had grown, Amayel had been able to reinforce his body far beyond human limitations—and because of that, his body hit an irreversible wall.
This condition would only worsen over time, not improve.
That’s what it meant for a mortal to wield transcendent powers beyond their limits.
Asmodeus sighed and turned her gaze away from Amayel.
He feared her.
A result of the Evil Gods’ meddling.
But Asmodeus wasn’t dissatisfied.
If that’s what Amayel wanted—then she would watch, just as he wished.
[Looks like you’ve won, Lucifer.]
Kanya would be captured and once again turned into Sloth’s plaything.
Using Belia’s divinity, the three Demon Lords would corrupt Amayel’s soul while keeping themselves restrained.
Asmodeus looked down at Amayel with something like pity.
[This isn’t fair. He never learned how to properly handle me.]
[The world was never meant to be fair.]
[I don’t want Amayel to be destroyed.]
[He won’t be. He’ll just misunderstand you for a while.]
[It wasn’t supposed to be like this. He deserves to know who I truly am. Maybe when I was unconscious, it made sense... but now that I’m aware, it’s only right for us to talk and understand each other. He deserves to know how to handle me.]
Asmodeus looked down at the chain that extended from her left wing.
[Once Amayel joins Hell’s side, you’ll be able to do all of that, Asmodeus.]
Asmodeus smiled.
[How childish. And stupid.]
[It’s just what must be done.]
Amayel lost Kanya.
He was defeated.
Naturally.
He was just an ordinary man, intoxicated by a sense of purpose, swinging around powers he couldn’t possibly manage. Of course he hit his limit.
A bitter expression spread across Asmodeus’s face.
[Happy now?]
[Once Amayel falls, I’ll let you talk with him as much as you want. I’ll even help you protect him.]
[You really think he’ll fall?]
[Human willpower always has its limits.]
Lucifer, confident as ever, chuckled as he drifted away.
Asmodeus looked once more at the fallen Amayel.
A foolish, stupid man.
And that—that was his limit.
[You’re right. Human willpower does have limits.]
Asmodeus also turned away from Amayel.
That was the end.
She walked slowly.
Then suddenly stopped.
Her right wing.
From that wing, gleaming in pure white light, a chain burst forth.
The four pairs of wings on her right side.
And from the discolored wings on her left, chains erupted as well.
All of those chains shot down toward the man writhing weakly on the ground.
Amayel—
Grabbed the chain.
And shouted.
“Asmodeus!!”
Asmodeus’s eyes widened.
She turned around.
She looked directly at Amayel.
[Speak, Amayel. I’m listening.]
“Save Kanya!!”
That one simple sentence rippled through her entire being with force.
For the first time—
It was the first time Amayel had ever given her a real command.
Asmodeus rose to her feet.
Her divine essence was already preparing to descend into the mortal realm.
The black chains from her left wing pulled taut.
[Asmodeus!! What are you doing?! I command you! You are not permitted to descend!!]
Lucifer’s voice—but Asmodeus didn’t listen.
[Sorry.]
The white and black chains twisted and writhed together.
[You’re not my <master>. You have no authority to command me.]
[No! Stop!!]
Lucifer screamed, desperately yanking the black chains—but even so, Asmodeus didn’t stop.
Her massive divine presence broke free from the spiritual realm.
****
Asmodeus slowly rose to her feet.
She looked down at her own body.
Her limbs, ruined from having been reinforced far beyond their limits.
The palm melted from gripping Satan’s demonic sword, Baltaluch, and the festering wound spreading across her cheek.
“Pushed it too far.”
She smiled faintly and lowered her hand.
And with that—
Her body was completely healed.
Even the wounds inflicted by Satan’s sword.
Even her limbs, destroyed from excessive enhancement.
Everything had returned to normal.
Right about then—
[...Uhh... Wh-Who... who...]
She lowered her head at the voice that came from her neck.
A vibration was coming from the rocket-shaped pendant around her throat.
The emotion in the vibration was unmistakable—pure fear.
“I need your help.”
[W-what do you—]
“A human mind can’t handle my authority. I’ll need your assistance. Think you can manage?”
[O-of course... Of course, I can.]
Satisfied with the trembling voice, Asmodeus nodded and began to walk forward slowly.
Through a world frozen in time.
She could see the Chosen of Envy’s followers, locked in place, completely immobilized.
Asmodeus walked past them with light steps, as if out for a casual stroll.
“Time to take back what’s mine.”
She retrieved Kanya from the follower who had been carrying her, then placed her hand on the girl's mangled body.
The thorn-like curse bindings.
The wounds from tumbling down a steep slope.
All of them were healed in an instant.
But even she couldn’t return Kanya to her original state.
“Still as tasteless as ever, Belphegor.”
Muttering to herself, Asmodeus held Kanya in her arms and began walking quietly.
Her destination: Talhaim’s Rock Mountain—the place Amayel had longed to reach so desperately.
She moved at a relaxed pace—
Until she suddenly turned her head at the horrifying sound that echoed from behind her.
Someone was interfering with her authority.
Not long after, the frozen world of stopped time cracked apart—and then, in the form of a massive circular dome, time resumed.
Inside the reactivated space, numerous fractures formed.
And from those rifts, people began pouring out in a panic.
Not dozens.
Hundreds—no, thousands of them.
And then, like an auditory hallucination—
[Asmodeus!!]
Three voices slammed into her consciousness like a hammer.
[Give me back my property!!]
The loudest voice rang out like a blast, and Asmodeus let out a laugh.
“Sorry, but I can’t do that. Amayel wants to protect her.”
[You goddamn bitch! You stayed quiet until now, and suddenly you—why now?!]
“Because I finally received a real command. That’s all.”
At the word “command,” the three Demon Lords fell silent.
[We’ll admit it, Lust. In a head-on fight, the three of us can’t beat you.]
[But if it’s a battle in the human realm, then the amount of divine power you can channel through a mortal host will be limited.]
[Hand over the Goddess of War. If you don’t, there will be no avoiding battle.]
With that chilling warning, the air itself tore open, and even more followers emerged.
It was almost at the level of open war now.
An army of thousands, converging on a single target: Asmodeus.
She glanced over their numbers, then silently set Kanya down.
“Beast who lusts for purity.”
[Y-yes!!]
“I’m borrowing your power for a moment.”
The psychic amplifier began to tremble violently.
[P-please spare me!!...]
Kon’s scream rang out for a moment—then vanished.
With the amplifier radiating a heat and vibration that felt like it might melt through reality itself, Asmodeus began walking forward.
“Withdraw your armies, Belphegor, Satan, Leviathan.”
[So long as you refuse to hand over the Goddess of War, we will never—]
“Then prepare to face the consequences of your choice.”
Asmodeus extended her hand forward.
And in that moment—
“Huh? Aaagh... Aaaaaagh!!”
Something started happening to the demons at the front lines of the massive crowd of followers.
They suddenly clutched their chests and collapsed.
Their legs snapped, their bodies rapidly decaying into rot.
“W-Wrath!! My lord Wrath!! P-please spare—!”
With one final shriek, the follower’s body melted down into the ground.
A faint soul escaped from his body, struggled briefly, then was sucked violently into Asmodeus.
And it wasn’t just happening to those in the lead.
Like a plague—
“Guh... Aagh!! M-my body’s rotting!!”
“Sloth! Lady Belphegor! Please save me!!”
“Envy! Please... have mercy!!”
Dozens of followers collapsed, decaying into blackened corpses in seconds.
The closer Asmodeus stepped—
The more of them fell, one by one.
It was as if the source of a divine plague were treading softly forward.
Death came instantly.
And those who died lost not only their bodies, but their very souls—sucked into Asmodeus with no trace left behind.
She laughed, like she was playing a prank.
“Did you really think fighting in the human realm would give you the advantage?”
Already, the dead numbered in the hundreds.
To witness a living human reduced to rotted dust—bones crumbling, nothing remaining—it was a sight even fanatical followers couldn’t bear.
And the three Demon Lords couldn’t afford to lose any more of them for nothing.
The followers began to retreat.
They scattered in a frenzy, fleeing the invisible zone of death spreading in real-time.
Only then did Asmodeus stop walking.
She could sense the retreat of the three Demon Lords.
And she could also feel the pendant on her neck burning red-hot—like it was about to combust.
[D-Dy...]
“You did well.”
Asmodeus raised her hand and placed it on the necklace.
The overheated pendant rapidly cooled.
“For your sake, it’s best you forget everything about our meeting.”
With that final line, the vibrations and heat of the psychic amplifier suddenly cut out, as if broken.
Seeing that everything was over, Asmodeus returned to Kanya once more.
She gently caressed the girl’s cheek.
“Your command has been fulfilled.”
She let out a baffled smile.
“I didn’t expect your first order to be about protecting someone other than yourself. Remember how that felt, Amayel. That’s your privilege.”
She closed her eyes quietly.
A single human mind was far too small and narrow to contain a divine entity of her size.
If she stayed any longer, she would be destroyed.
Asmodeus left the body she had briefly descended into.
Amayel’s body, no longer under control, collapsed like a puppet with its strings cut.
