Chapter 679: Side Story 3. Stellar Blossom - 14

Blinking slowly, it took a while for Han Joon to register the flooding sunlight inside the bedroom. He, who used to wake up before the sun, needed time to digest the incongruity.

"Good morning."

But his thought was cut short by a soft voice and an even softer kiss on his forehead, which took even more time to digest. It was nice, but also weird. He used to be the one doing that; kissing his darling good morning and helping the sleepy head prepare for the day.

His eyes squint at the bright sunlight and he asked with a hoarse voice. "What time is it?"

"A bit past eight," the soft answer came with a gentle brush on his hair, which had gotten longer.

"Again," he muttered with a sigh.

"What?"

Han Joon turned his head to look at Radia and smiled in disappointment. "I woke up after you again."

"And?" Radia laughed in amusement. It was only the fourth--or was it fifth?--time Han Joon woke up later than him. In their entire married life. He couldn’t believe this man was disappointed because of that. "I love it," Radia smiled. "It’s rare for me to see your sleeping face."

"Hmm..."

"Are you jealous?" Radia arched his brow incredulously at his husband’s sullen face. Oh, that was cute. "You always did that, so it’s my turn now," Radia laughed, leaning down closely to Joon’s face until he could see himself reflected in the black eyes. "I can snuggle you all I want until I am satisfied."

He didn’t say it, but he would spend at least fifteen minutes snuggled to Joon’s side, solely to feel the new warmth of the skin and the steady beating heart. It didn’t matter if he had to push his schedule for later--he had promised to spend more time with Joon anyway.

Seeing his darling, who was already in a suit snuggled up at him, a smile formed on Joon’s lips automatically. "You can just ask me for more cuddles if you want, you know?"

Radia raised his head and pursed his lips. "It’s not the same if you’re already washed and clothed."

"What a peculiar taste."

Radia laughed and kissed the man on the lips before pulling him up and out of bed. Han Joon yawned as his darling pushed him to the bathroom to wash his face, smiling at the flip at what was normal.

"But still...I’ve been sleeping in more and more," Han Joon frowned while wearing his shirt. "I think I became lazy."

"It’s not that you become lazy," Radia chuckled. "You’re just more relaxed."

"Hmm..." Han Joon rolled his shoulder. After the cold energy was sealed, he did feel his muscles becoming less stiff. After four months, he learned how to spend the day doing nothing but browsing the links, playing games, and reading books like a bum. "I guess it comes with unemployment."

"Pfft--who says you’re unemployed?" Radia circled his husband’s neck and tilted his head. "Becoming my trophy husband is hard work, you know."

Han Joon chuckled and held his darling’s waist. "I guess."

He spent a few minutes kissing the faint scar on Radia’s neck while moving together to the door, enjoying his darling’s crisp laugh that he heard more and more every day. He only stopped once they reached the stairs and climbed down hand in hand to have their late breakfast.

"So, what task does my employer have for me today?" Han Joon asked in the front door, before his darling entered the car.

"A spa," Radia replied with a subtle smile.

"A spa?" Han Joon arched his brow.

"Cara will come and take you to a salon," Radia pointed at his human secretary for Mortix, who immediately bowed in their direction. "Let yourself be pampered and look pretty."

Han Joon looked up to see the dangling fringe that went past his eyebrows already. Indeed, it was time for a trim. Since he rarely left the mansion, he hadn’t been grooming himself lately, although he used to be very neat in the past.

Hmm...was that also a sign of him relaxing? Or as he thought--he was just being lazy?

That being said, if Radia told him to look pretty, it seemed like he would need to go out. Was there a banquet somewhere? Or a family meeting in the Peak?

Radia brushed the stiff black hair aside, smiling charmingly. "We’ll have a date tonight."

Oh. A lovely smile and an enticing event. What a great thing to start the day.

* * *

Han Joon...had no idea when was the last time he received a professional massage. Was it after their honeymoon? Or during? At any rate, it was a fascinating experience.

The place itself was already a luxurious place that only people in high society knew, but Radia being Radia rented the whole place so his husband could receive the full attention of the whole staff. Ever so excessive, his darling.

Han Joon just chuckled and received the indulgence. Everything from the essential oils they used to the refreshments they provided was catered to his preferences; nothing too sharp, woody, and refreshing. He had no idea how much time had passed--they were professional in making sure that the client didn’t even realize the passage of time, just drowning in indulgence.

Not bad. But Han Joon started to wonder if his darling ever indulged himself like this, knowing how busy Radia was. But then again, he contemplated whether or not he wanted others to touch his darling’s body like this.

What a pickle. Should he look for a course on massaging and home spas? It might be fun, and a good way to use his abundant free time. He could even pamper his darling more. Hmm...sounded like a plan.

While thinking such thoughts, the staff had finished transforming him from a handsome bum to a worthy trophy husband with neatly trimmed and styled hair. With a set of bespoken suits that Cara brought to the site along with the appropriate accessory, he was ready for the date.

That was a nice word. A date. It was another thing they realized they rarely did.

They had never gone on a date openly when they were students--how could they, when they were hiding their relationship from everyone? Surely, sneakily meeting in a hotel or an empty classroom couldn’t be called a ’date’. And then they got married, and they preferred spending time in their huge mansion together, just watching a movie and talking about silly stuff.

While Joon still preffered that kind of private ’date’, staying inside the mansion couldn’t provide the sparkling view of street lights that looked like stars. Certainly, there were more varieties in the dinner course. Walking along a beautiful walkway while hand in hand was also nice, not to mention kissing in the shadow of a tree, making them feel like teenagers again.

Han Joon realized in the end, that it was something they had once talked about when they were still teenagers. A nice date like any other couple, without caring about anything but being in love. A date delayed for fifteen years.

It felt like a dream, and Han Joon almost thought he was in a dream when he felt his darling’s hand on his thigh. "Joon?"

The black eyes blinked dazedly at the interior of the car his darling usually used. The street light passed by the window as the car rolled through the highway. "Huh? Did I fall asleep?"

"Yeah..."

Since when? He didn’t even remember coming back. "I must have eaten too much," he chuckled at his own conclusion. But he did eat more than usual, since they were on a date and everything. Han Joon looked down and grinned. "I’m afraid I’ll lose my shape soon, darling."

"It’s okay," Radia replied with a smirk, tapping his husband’s inner thigh mischievously. "As long as your dick isn’t shrinking."

Han Joon laughed heartily at the shameless remark, ignorant of the silent, concerned gaze of his darling. Radia chewed the inside of his cheek when Joon wasn’t looking. While he was happily talking about his husband getting more relaxed and whatnot, having a man who was always attentive to him fall asleep before the day ended was quite...disturbing.

"When is your next appointment with the Saintess?" he asked, using a light tone so he wouldn’t appear too worried.

"Hmm..." Han Joon tapped on his commlink to check. "On the seventeenth of next month."

"Next month..."

Han Joon raised a brow and pinched his darling’s chin. "Why? I’m feeling fine."

"I just think it’ll be nicer to have it more often," Radia shrugged.

"Don’t be greedy, darling."

"I’m not."

"Okay, you’re not," Han Joon chuckled and kissed the pouting lips. Even sulking, his darling was still so lovely. He didn’t want to end the date in a somber tone, so he diverted the topic. "Anyway, what should we gift our niece?"

"Hmm..." Radia leaned his head on Joon’s shoulder while tapping his arm in contemplation. "Should we go and look around on the weekend? I was looking through catalogs onlink, but I can’t be sure without looking at the stuff directly."

Han Joon smiled. "Sounds like another date."

"A date, it is," Radia returned the smile with a kiss, before muttering seriously. "Is it too soon to build a private playground?"

"Pfft--yeah, I think so."

"What about accessories? She’s Reina’s girl. I think their eyes sparkle the same in front of jewelry..."

The date, in the end, ended with Han Joon’s boisterous laugh that put a smile on Radia’s face.
