The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 166: Hating helping others.
Alix had not gone far after sending apple slices to Caishen and the elder. She intended to send them to everyone but Zhang Bo had gone out with Xiaobo, grandma Zhang had gone out to meet her friends and her mother-in-law was not yet back.
As for Zhang An, Alix didn't really care where that rude sister-in-law of hers was and she had no intentions of giving her any apple.
She stayed at the dining table, opened her laptop, unfolded the keyboard, and a mouse. Donned her gaming headsets and logged into the virtual gaming world.
"Here we go baby, time to have fun." The blue elf stretched his body.
"Connect me to Dark death." she told it.
The system quickly traced Dark death and Alix sent her a message.
"Where are you?"
Ever since she told the assasin to connect her communication settings, the other always responded immediately or as soon as possible.
"Fighting a very big minotaur that keeps spawning. I don't know why it won't die. Come help."

Alix could here the sound of the battle in Dark death's answer.
"Coming, on my way." she answered.
"One magical teleportation scroll." The system said helpfully. It didn't even wait for her to say a single thing.
"When did I get that?" she asked the system.
"Do you think the points are just for show? I purchase things that aid you in the game. That teleportation scroll costs Fifteen million in real world currency."
"Fruit!!" she cursed. That was a lot of money, like luxury car kind of money.
The system was familiar with her manner of speech so it knew exactly what she had just said.
"That's why you need to make more money. It has a three time use only so don't waste it." It told her.
Oh great, a luxury car that could only be driven three times and then you had to buy a new one. What was not to love? Alix thought, sarcastically.
The scroll appeared on the virtual screen and Alix grabbed a hold of it in the game. It was plain brown scroll with only one word in blank ink; move."
"How do I use this thing?" she asked.
"Think of or say the name of where you want to go and say the words move." The system told her.
She had no idea where she was going and she had to ask. "Dark death, where are you?"
"Creak marshland." The assasin answered.
With a name in mind, she opened her mouth and said, "Move."
A gaping black hole was formed in the middle of the scroll and Alix was sucked inside as a high pitched scream escaped her lips. Being swallowed into something dark abruptly like that was bound to frighten anyone. Still screaming, she appeared somewhere else.
The teleportation scroll vanished from her hands as she looked around with confusion in her eyes. Her feet were wet, which was obvious since she was standing in a shallow wetland with muddy soil.
She could see grass, sedges, reeds and colorful yellow herbaceous plants, no minotaur however her friends.
"Weapons out, get on Baize, hurry." The system told her.
She released the ostrich, jumped on it's back and they took to the skies.
From above, it was very easy to spot her teammates and the very loud blasts also made locating them easy. They were not the only ones in the marsh and there was more than one minotaur.
These gigantic half man half bull creatures were facing off against different players. None of the gamers was fighting individually. They were all in groups and Alix counted seven minotaurs. Some were surrounded by more players than others.
The loud roars which threatened to break the skies apart frightened Baize who looked backwards as he flew.
She patted his head and calmed him down.
"Down there," She pointed towards the edge of the marsh where a bright white light had just flashed. That was Hero, most likely.
Baize screeched in protest but Alix tightened her hold on his reigns.
"Don't you dare turn back like a coward."
She stood on it's back steadily and put the violin on her shoulder. This was a guild mission and all she had to do was play long enough to distract the minatour and her teammates would take care of the rest.
As the sound of her music started to spread, others became aware of her presence. She chose to play light burst because it was an attack spell song.
It would make sure that her teammates were not hypnotized and end up losing focus.
The large minatour Dark death and Hero were fighting put it's hands on it ears and roared.
The pitch of her music was messing with its mind and causing it pain. The large two sided battle axe it wielded fell from its hands and made a splash when it landed in the water. The opportunity to finish it off for real had arrived.
Dark Death cheered as Hero grabbed it by the horns and she took off it's head. This time round, it died for real.
"Finally." Hero said.
Dark Death wasted no time in picking up the loot which had been dropped and she kept it.
"We should hurry the others are going to catch up." She said.
The only downside to Alix's playing was the fact that she had unwillingly helped other players take down their own minatours which she hated.
"Let's go." Hero grabbed Alix from Baize's back and Dark Death from the ground. She spread her own wings, flying them away from the marsh quickly.
Alix had come late so she had no idea what kind of mission they were tackling.
"What are we doing?" She asked them.
Dark death was the one to explain since Hero was flying them and navigating the way.
"Last night, the bandits that serve the dark wizard kidnapped the daughter of the city lord. There is an open mission for all, whoever returns her to the city safely receives a map.
We have five so far. We just need one more map and our guild will qualify to take part in the quest to the dark wizards castle."
"We have to be careful then." Alix shouted.
The wind slapped her cheeks and hair flew into her mouth.
Flying with Hero was so much worse than flying on Baize's back. She couldn't even begin to fathom why Dark death had made a comparison between the two.
For one, there was nowhere to sit on Hero and she used her magic to carry Alix and Dark Death.
She spat the hair out of her mouth and continued on, "You have said whoever returns her to the city, not whoever rescues her.
This could be like the rock sugar task. I think there is going to be an all out war between different guilds."
Dark death smiled slyly as she recalled how easy it had been for them to complete that task. Perhaps, the strategy they used back then could be repeated. "So, should we wait and ambush like last time?"
"No," Alix replied strongly.
