The System Awakens: Rise of the Champion-Chapter 160: Nightingale
"Tell me more exactly what this 'Trial of the Blood King' is?" the human king, Damian, embodying the noble vampire race, asked, looking at the five countesses, eyeing their incredibly attractive figures.
The five countesses were more than 8,000 years old, and the strongest among them, Countess Lillian Brenlith, was over 15,000 years old.
Yet their faces only looked like they were in their mid to late twenties, if even that.
Their figures, however, were totally mature.
They had the bodies of MILFs, and Damian couldn't help but check them out.
As a progenitor, his need to procreate was countless times stronger.
In simple terms, his libido was countless times more intense.
And up until now, he hadn't procreated with anyone, so you could imagine how horny Damian was all the time.
He even felt like he could lose his mind.
But thank the universe that his willpower and mental strength were insanely strong.
If it weren't, he would have already lost control and ravaged every woman he laid his eyes upon.
Even now, although he hated to admit it, his lust was beginning to get the better of him.
If he let it grow any stronger, it would be bad for all the women around him.
Well, it wouldn't really be bad, no woman around him would reject him, but still, it felt morally wrong.
As much as he didn't want to recall his history, he was raised as a Christian, and their teachings still influenced him, even now, even though he had grown to the point where morality and ethics were no longer valid limitations for him.
No worries, though.
Damian was sure he would grow out of it soon enough.
After all, it wasn't just his body and soul that were constantly evolving, his thought process was evolving too, and his human common sense would eventually change into one that fit a progenitor.
"It would be more easily explained if you see it with your own eyes..." Lillian Brenlith said slowly.
"...Regardless, if you are really going to take on the Trial of the Blood King, you have to come with us to our world, Nightingale."
"Hmm... let's go then," Damian said, a very excited smile on his face.
"Right now? Don't you want to get ready or something, Human King?" Countess Tiana Valthryne asked slowly.
"I mean... you are a king of an entire world, about to enter a foreign one. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to come with a force of your own... for your protection?"
"Fufu. Protection?" Damian chuckled.
"Think again... Do you honestly believe that any kind of Danger in your world could pose any threat to me?"
The countesses looked at each other before shaking their heads sideways.
"Also, I can summon my legions of demons whenever and wherever I want," Damian narrowed his eyes as they flickered with a golden light for a few seconds.
"I assume you will make sure nothing happens that would force me to bring out the high demon in me... for your own good, of course."
"...Yes, nothing of the sort will happen. We will make sure of that," Countess Amaya Kuroyami said with a nervous expression.
"Hmm," Damian shrugged.
"Also, no one will think of me as a foreigner. I'm a noble vampire, remember? Of the Brenlith clan too, the clan led by the strongest vampire in existence."
"Yes..." Lillian Brenlith nodded uncomfortably.
She didn't know how she should react to hearing those words.
Not to mention, since Damian was also a noble vampire, she wasn't sure if she could still call herself the strongest vampire in existence, after all, Damian was obviously stronger.
Much stronger.
Now that Damian mentioned it, the countesses realized something: the human progenitor was also a noble vampire.
Which meant that when other vampires saw him, they would only see him as another vampire.
This made things a thousand times easier.
"Then, Human King, if you are ready, we can head straight to Nightingale," Countess Akira Kaminari said, to which Damian simply nodded before a single prompt appeared in front of his eyes.
[You have been invited to Nightingale, the world of vampires, by the Countesses]
[Do you accept the invitation?]
"Yes," he said, and in the next second, his vision blurred.
In the next instant, he found himself standing in a foreign land.
The first thing that caught his eye was the massive red moon in the sky, with a smaller blue moon orbiting around it, painting the entire sky in dark hues.
The clouds looked as red as the moon, with accents of blue like auroras.
He could feel the temperature, it was freezing cold, but not enough to form ice structures.
Damian was standing on a mountain, or mountain-like formation, and kilometers away, he could see a giant black castle on another rock structure.
Deep down below, he could feel an entire city bustling with plebeian vampires.
None of them were even considerably strong.
Damian could sense most of them were only as strong as human Awakeners.
He could also smell the feverish scent of blood in the atmosphere.
Damian, embodying the noble vampire right now, felt like he was home...
"So this is Nightingale... Weirdly, it feels like home," Damian smiled as he took a deep breath.
The smell of blood in the air, it was so refreshing.
And even though he was a noble vampire who didn't need blood to survive, that didn't mean he couldn't drink it.
As a vampire, he could, he just chose not to.
But now that he was in the world of vampires, he might give it a try.
Damian could also see insects and rabbit-like beings, animals of this world, he guessed.
Regardless, all of them had fluorescence on them, glowing in various colors, hiding among bizarre and alien plant life.
But the flora was drastically different than anything found on Earth or any other human world.
The plant life in Nightingale had generally large leaves that were blood-red in color, with black patterns, and bore various kinds of fruits on their own.
Nightingale was a separate world with its own moons, unique atmosphere, and distinct environment.
Its population used to number in the hundreds of millions.
Now, the entire vampire population was around 70 million, with noble vampires only numbering around 500,000, and still decreasing even now.
Unlike what most people believed, not all noble vampires were strong or possessed powerful bloodline abilities like the countesses.
Most weren't particularly powerful or unique, other than being pure-blood noble vampires capable of creating plebeian vampires, there was nothing more to them.
The entire population of vampires lived in five cities, each ruled over by one of the five vampire countesses.
Each of the cities was as big as California from Earth, and each was located in one of the four cardinal directions, with one central city in the middle.
Right now, the five countesses had brought Damian to this central city, the capital of Nightingale, known as Nightcrown.
"To take on the Trial of the Blood King... follow us. We will take you to the trial location," Countess Akira Kaminari said before lightning flickered around her figure. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared in a flash of light.
"Hmm, so her bloodline ability is lightning, huh? Interesting." Damian had already started to wonder what it would be like to possess her bloodline ability.
But to do that, he would have to devour her.
"Well... one can always hope," Damian thought as he watched the other countesses vanish as well.
And then Damian, his entire figure transforming into pure lightning element as the [Lightning Essence] inside him flowed out.
[Lightning Avatar: Form Transformation Activated]
He wasn't just covered in lightning like the vampire countess, he became lightning, a thick arc of energy shooting in the direction the countesses had gone.
A few seconds, hundreds of kilometers away from where they were when they came to Nightingale, after a figure covered in lightning landed and at the same time golden lightning struck the group a meter away from it with a thunderous noise, creating a web-like cracks on the rock surface.
Then the lightning itself transformed into into shape of a person before disappearing revealing Damian as he went back to being a noble vampire and in the next couple of seconds the remaining countess also landed.
The vampire Countess Akira Kaminari gulped slightly as she watched the human progenitor land.
"He also possess lightning based abilities?" Countess Akira Kaminari tried her best to hide the shock in her face.
"What kind bullshit being is this monster, how many more abilities does he possess?"
When they were travelling to this location she was very clearly able to witness the way he turned into lightning.
He was faster than her, much faster, and judging by his presence she was sure he wasn't just covered in lightning, he became that element.
And when he landed, it wasn't the human progenitor landing but a raw, pure, dense energy of golden lightning that if had fallen on her would have seriously injured her to half-dead state if not more.
After Damian created the [Infinity Essence], all the energies became synchronized with each other and as a side effect all the forms related to each of the energies he possesses also merged to create the form transformation known as the [Weapon of Infinity].
And because of its creation another side effect was created.
This granted him the ability to transform into any form at will instantly, meaning without limits.
For example, for one instant he will be transformed into [Lightning Avatar] and in the next instant he can transform into [Water Avatar] all with a thought.
