Chapter 564 -25: Surrounding Xu Mo

“Read a book a hundred times, and its meaning will appear.”

After spending several months in the Library, Xu Mo grew to understand this saying better. The books housed within Lucas University Library were indeed exceptional; they mainly covered theoretical knowledge about Transcendents, all of which had been proven through ancient practices.

Most people refused to read those because they often found the theories elusive and difficult to comprehend. Moreover, the theoretical books in Lucas Library often merged with other subjects like mathematics, with some elevating to the philosophical realm, making them profoundly deep.

The Transcendents themselves were mostly reluctant to delve into such books.

Topics like battle model analysis, data cultivation, human mechanics, and mechanical dynamics seemed tiresome and mundane to most, and few had the patience to engage with them.

There were also books that Xu Mo picked up several times before he finally managed to read through them. After finishing, he would apply the knowledge and discover just how useful many of these insights were.

Beyond this, Xu Mo cherished reading about the interstellar historical evolutions and overviews of well-known planets, the different races within the star system, and their abilities.

To Xu Mo, Lucas University’s Library was a treasure trove that could not be thoroughly studied even in a few years’ time. He could only selectively digest parts of it, despite being a quick reader.

However, the collection of books was simply too vast.

Sorey, Yekaterina, Ize, and Carter had all come to the Library to find Xu Mo.

The group sat at a corner table discussing matters.

“The company is transforming?” Yekaterina asked.

Ross had already discussed the matter of share transfer with them; however, they wouldn’t be touching their shares but instead taking half from Xu Mo’s.

“Yes,” Xu Mo nodded, “Energy can only make money, but technology is the future. Sorey can only secure limited resources on Odin Mountain Star, which isn’t enough. We could make some money, but we’d remain small-scale. Technology is different. If our group evolves into a ‘Technology Empire,’ we can trade with Odin Mountain Star and your Carolan Star, Yekaterina. That’s a real deal.”

“But technology is extremely challenging. Are you confident?” Yekaterina questioned. As an energy company, they could lie back and count their profits while also reaping networking benefits.

“Ross must have introduced them to you, right? It’s an elite team. Why else would I give up half my shares to them?” Xu Mo said. “Yekaterina, are you satisfied just counting money now, or do you want to strive for something greater? You wouldn’t want a repeat of the Elder Council incident, would you?”

Yekaterina and the others understood Ross’s intent; they weren’t just fooling around.

“Yekaterina, what’s there to think about? Of course, follow brother Xu Mo for a greater venture,” Sorey spoke. He didn’t care about money. Making money didn’t thrill him since he was never short of it.

His purpose in joining Xu Mo was to undertake something significant.

“Alright,” Yekaterina nodded, “Then, let’s leave it to you to manage, and we won’t get involved.”

Yekaterina was only holding nominal shares gifted by Sorey and hadn’t contributed anything herself.

However, once in hand, a person’s attitude changes, for it becomes their possession.

“Yes,” Xu Mo nodded, “Don’t worry, the worst case scenario is that we lose everything; we can just start over.”

Yekaterina and Sorey nodded, then they left first.

Ize and Carter had been silent until now.

“Xu Mo, you had this planned beforehand, didn’t you?” Carter asked, “The team, are they your people?”

“I can’t call them my people, but I trust them well,” Xu Mo replied. “I’ve told you before, I was banished to a weak planet, went through some things, and met many people. These are cards up my sleeve for the future, you know all my secrets. I need significant power.”

Ize and Carter nodded. Xu Mo intended to strike back at Anos Star.

Thus, he needed to develop his strength.

Ize felt moved, Xu Mo was trusting them unreservedly.

Neither Sorey nor Yekaterina knew Xu Mo’s secrets, only they did.

However, Carter saw things differently. He knew Xu Mo’s trust was partly because he needed to leverage their position. For cooperation, many things couldn’t be hidden; the more they interacted, the more unfathomable Xu Mo seemed. He was extremely smart and had likely been planning subsequent moves from the beginning, using them to integrate resources for mutual benefit.

Carter even felt that the share transfer was orchestrated by Xu Mo on purpose.

He needed Lucas Star’s involvement, so having a member of the Royal Family like Miss Elizabeth involved was crucial.

“If we succeed, it will benefit everyone. With Miss Elizabeth as a major shareholder, her position in Lucas Star will also be more secure,” Xu Mo continued.

Although he had taught Ize and Carter about cultivation, such relationships weren’t necessarily solid. A community of shared interests was the strongest bond.

They all stood to win, and no one’s interests would be harmed.

“Fine, we have no objections. Xu Mo, what resources do you need?” Carter asked.

“I need to lease a spacecraft. For future loan matters, I will need your assistance, Ize,” Xu Mo said. They couldn’t afford to buy a spacecraft yet, but they could rent from the Aerospace Union, and Carter could help with that.
