The Rising Phoenix-Chapter 123: I Don’t Mind Getting Married To The Third Prince
Chapter 123: Chapter 123: I Don’t Mind Getting Married To The Third Prince
People might think that Bai Xifeng wanted to break the engagement herself since she thought the idiot third Prince was not suitable for her because she was a talented cultivator.
The royal Family’s image would still be good in the people’s eyes.
Bai Xifeng snorted. The royal family really thought highly of themselves. Other people would think that way but they were facing Bai Xifeng who did not give a shit about the royal family.
Then, she put a big smile on her face. She then looked up to the emperor.
The emperor mistaken what was on Bai Xifeng’s mind. He thought Bai Xifeng was happy that she could break off the engagement with his third son.
"No, thank you." Bai Xifeng stated.
The emperor was taken aback. He would not believe his ear. He even thought that Bai Xifeng might misspoke.
"What?" The emperor asked.
"I would not break my engagement with the third prince. I don’t mind getting married to the third prince." Bai Xifeng stated again.
"But the third prince is an idiot, a fool. With your talent and beauty, you can get married to someone better." The emperor wanted to reason with Bai Xifeng.
"Oh, now because I am a talented cultivator you want to push me around to your other sons?" Bai Xifeng snorted.
The emperor was speechless. Well, when Bai Xifeng put it bluntly, it sounded like the royal family was the bad one. Even though it was true, the emperor did not like that.
"It must be the crown prince’s idea, am I right?" Bai Xifeng smiled.
The emperor did not say anything. But his face gave everything away.
"Then, you can tell the crown prince that I have no intention of getting back with him ever again." Bai Xifeng said.
"You..." The emperor lost his word.
"I think you don’t have anything else to say right?" Bai Xifeng said. "Since that is the case, I will leave first."
"Oh, I want to give you some warnings. Please don’t mess with me, otherwise, I will get so mad." Bai Xifeng winked before leaving.
The eunuchs who guarded the door did not know what to do. Whether to open it right away or wait for the emperor’s order.
"Open it. I want to leave." Bai Xifeng told the eunuchs.
The eunuchs still did not move.
"Oh, should I open it by myself? Don’t blame me if the door breaks down." Bai Xifeng stated.
The eunuchs gulped. They glanced at the emperor. The emperor nodded. Only then, the eunuchs opened the door.
"So, I need to threaten others first? Good to know." That was what Bai Xifeng said before leaving the room with proud steps
The emperor listened to that and could not say anything. After a few moments, he called someone.
"Ask the crown prince to meet me as soon as possible." The emperor said.
"Yes, Your Majesty." The servant nodded and left.
Bai Xifeng walked. She wanted to leave but unfortunately, she lost her way in this big palace. She did not know where she was right now. She was about to ask Baishe about that but she heard someone else.
"You are Bai Xifeng."
Bai Xifeng turned around and looked at Liu Shan, the fifth princess. She was together with Liu Shun, the sixth princess.
"Why are you not kneeling down and greeting us?" Liu Shun asked looking displeased with Bai Xifeng’s behavior.
"Your Highness Sixth Princess, should I remind you that I have a decree that allows me not to kneel down to the royal family including Your Majesty himself?" Bai Xifeng smiled.
Liu Shan pulled Li Shun. Bai Xifeng was no longer trash. Bai Xifeng was even stronger than them. If she was angry, she might take out on them.
Even though they were fighting with Bai Xifeng, they might not be able to defeat Bai Xifeng. It was better to stay out of it.
"What are you doing here? The outsider can not come unless the emperor orders it. Liu Shun stated.
"Oh, your father indeed invited me over. I just met him earlier." Bai Xifeng explained.
"Then, what are you here?" Liu Shan asked.
"Oh, I am looking for the entrance but I lost my way. Can I ask you to lend someone to lead me to the enter the entrance?" Bai Xifeng smiled.
Liu Shan and Liu Shun as well as their maids were stunned while looking at Bai Xifeng. They did not know that Bai Xifeng’s smile was still stunning.
"Your Highness?" Bai Xifeng was confused when both princesses did not say anything.
’Oh." Liu Shan was the one who first snapped out.
Then Liu Shun also snapped out. She coughed. "Lost your way? Are you stupid?"
Liu Shan elbowed her sister. She then looked at Bai Xifeng.
"Wenna, lead Third Young Miss Bai to the entrance." Liu Shan stated.
The maid behind Liu Shan, Wenna, responded to the fifth princess. "Yes, Your Highness."
Wenna gestured to Bai Xifeng to follow her. Bai Xifeng smiled once again at both princesses before walking away. Once again, both princesses were stunned.
Bai Xifeng, with the help of the maid, was finally at the entrance. Then, only then, she remembered someone, Xiao Li who was coming to the palace with her. She hit her forehead.
She remembered that Xiao Li was supposed to be inside the hall but she stood up at the corner of the hall.
Xiao Li must have been leaving the hall when she was in a conversation with the emperor. Otherwise, Xiao Li must be following her after she left the hall.
Bai Xifeng sighed. She just got out of this giant maze. She did not want to be inside it again. But Xiao Li was her maid. Who would cook and clean for her if Xiao Li was not here?
When Bai Xifeng was having a dilemma about this, Bai Guowei walked toward her.
"Xifeng." Bai Guowei called her name.
Bai Xifeng was thinking about Xiao Li, startled when she heard someone call her name. She turned around and saw Bai Guowei. She gave a glare to her second uncle.
Seeing this glare, Bai Guowei was confused. He did not know what he had done to invite Bai Xifeng’s anger.
Bai Guowei did not want to see that asked Bai Xifeng whether she wanted to go back
"My maid is missing." Bai Xifeng stated.
"Wondering in the palace will invite trouble. Your maid is probably got caught by the guard and get killed by them." Bai Guowei said.
Bai Guowei was just telling the truth. Well, he did not care much about the maid. For him, a servant could be replaced anytime. So, no need for him to care about a mere maid.
Bai Xifeng glared at Bai Guowei. "What did you say?"
Bai Guowei gulped.
"Wifey!!!
Liu Longwei rushed over and grabbed Bai Xifeng’s hand happily. He was happy to see Bai Xifeng here.
Behind Liu Longwei, standing there, Xiao Li who was missing.
"Young Miss, I am sorry." Xiao Li said.
"Where did you go?" Bai Xifeng asked.
"I get out of the hall because the eunuch asked me to. Then, I went to the toilet with the help of a maid. When I had done, the maid was missing and I lost." Xiao Li explained.
"I am the one who see her. I remember the maid beside you before. So, here we are. Am I good?" Liu Longwei grinned asking for praise.
"Hmm... You are so good." Bai Xifeng nodded.
The grin on Liu Longwei’s face became wider.
"Wifey, can we go out together today?" Liu Longwei asked.
Bai Xifeng was thinking about going out too. She had something to buy.
"Sure." Bai Xifeng agreed.
"Yes. I can spend time with my wife." Liu Longwei was happy that Bai Xifeng accepted his invitation.
Seeing this, Bai Guowei could think that Bai Xifeng needed him to bring her home.
"Since that is the case, then, I will go home first." Bai Guowei said.
He began to walk to the carriage which was not far from there. However, someone stopped him.
"Second Uncle, wait." It was Bai Xifeng who stopped Bai Guowei.
Bai Guowei stopped and turned back. "What is it?"
"Second Uncle, you can not forget your manner." Bai Xifeng reminded Bai Guowei.
"Huh? About what?" Bai Guowei did not think he had forgotten anything else. So, he did not understand what Bai Xifeng was talking about.
