Chapter 347: 347. Practice and Practice

The underground mountain was cold and damp, but the occasional breeze that found its way through the cracks in the rock brought a refreshing chill. In the dim light of the cavern, Tyler and Lily stood near a jagged wall, their breath visible in the cool air.

Lily’s sharp eyes flickered with curiosity as she watched Tyler clench his fist. A faint blue glow surrounded his hand before disappearing just as quickly.

"I didn’t sense any Aura or Prana just now," Lily remarked, tilting her head.

Tyler relaxed his fingers and nodded. "That’s because it’s not Energy-based attack. It’s called Tidal Waves. An old man in my cell taught me..."

As they stood in the quiet depths of the cave, Tyler explained the technique without hesitation. Lily listened intently, her mind absorbing the details.

Rather than digging deeper into the cave, Lily sat cross-legged on a nearby rock, lost in thought. Meanwhile, Tyler continued practicing Tidal Waves.

He exhaled and clenched his fist again. This time, his hand glowed slightly, and he threw a punch at the cave wall.

Crack!

A small fracture appeared, but the rock remained mostly intact.

Tyler sighed. "Not enough power." He concentrated again, refining his control over Tidal Fist.

Lily, who had been meditating, suddenly opened her eyes and asked, "What happened to Silvia and Zuzia?"

Tyler hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Silvia was taken away by the Elves. As for Zuzia, she left long before I entered the Abyss. She likes to travel great distances now. Last time we talked, she said she was learning something powerful."

"Tsk... i wonder if we can eat elves...?"

"Just delete that thought in your mind."

"Alright."

Then, she closed her eyes and continued meditating.

Several hours passed in silence.

Then, Lily suddenly opened her eyes and muttered, "Got it..."

Tyler, who had been practicing, turned toward her. "Got what?"

Lily didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she raised her hand—and electricity began to crackle around her fingers.

Tyler’s jaw nearly hit the floor. His eyes widened in shock.

Lily clenched her fist, electric arcs dancing across her knuckles, and then she punched the cave wall.

BOOM!

A massive hole appeared where her fist had struck. The sheer force of the attack sent cracks rippling through the cavern.

Tyler stared in disbelief. He immediately focused his senses, trying to detect any energy fluctuations from her attack—but found nothing.

"That was Tidal Waves... but with lightning?!" Tyler muttered.

Lily dusted off her hands and smirked. "Yeah... I applied the same principle."

Tyler blinked. "But how?"

Lily leaned against the rock wall. "Now I understand why it’s called Tidal Waves."

Tyler’s curiosity grew. "Wait, if you could do that... can you also use the second form or third form?"

Lily’s smirk faded as she shook her head. "No. Just like you explained—First Form is called Tidal Fist. The next forms are called Tidal Waves for a reason."

She gestured with her hands as she explained, her voice serious.

"The second punch should be twice as powerful as the first."

"The third punch should be twice as powerful as the second."

"And it keeps multiplying up to Nine Punches."

Tyler exhaled. "So... why can’t you replicate that with lightning?"

Lily crossed her arms. "Because only the Water Element can be manipulated as actual waves. My version is powerful, but it doesn’t have the stacking effect of the real Tidal Waves."

Tyler sat beside her, deep in thought.

Then, he started massaging her shoulders.

Lily raised an eyebrow. "What’s this?"

Tyler grinned. "Alright, Master Lily. Teach me."

Lily chuckled and replied jokingly. "Alright, disciple."

For the next ten days, Tyler trained under Lily’s guidance.

Apart from digging for treasure, they kept testing their techniques and perfecting Tidal Fist.

During the day, Tyler trained with Kaiser in the cage, refining his control over the technique.

Little by little, his mastery of Tidal Waves grew.

Meanwhile, he and Lily worked on expanding the hidden passage beneath the cave.

Their efforts bore fruit.

What was once a small hole in the cave wall had now become a massive underground passage.

Of course, they had to be careful. The Abyss Hunters frequently patrolled the area, and any suspicious activity could lead to disaster.

To avoid detection, they placed a concealment array at the entrance of the underground tunnel.

However, they made a crucial decision.

They didn’t place a concealment array in the main cave.

Why?

Because some Abyss Hunters already knew about these caves. If one suddenly disappeared from their perception, it would immediately raise suspicion.

---

Kaiser raised his fist and delivered a devastating blow to the incoming beast. With the second punch, the creature collapsed, into rocks.

Both Tyler and Kaiser fighting tirelessly in the small mining area, surrounded by jagged rocks and dimly lit tunnels. But the real challenge wasn’t the labor—it was the Ground Element-formed beasts that emerged unexpectedly. These creatures, infused with Abyss Energy, lacked intelligence and attacked anything that moved.

A hulking, stone beast lunged toward Tyler, its jagged claws swiping wildly. Tyler clenched his fist.

Now’s the time.

He took a deep breath and threw his punch.

His hand glowed faintly with blue energy as his fist connected—Tidal Fist.

The beast staggered back, cracks forming across its rocky body. But it didn’t fall.

Tyler’s eyes narrowed.

"One punch isn’t enough. Try the next form..." Kaiser said. He brought Tyler here just to train.

He focused, drawing from the technique he had been training relentlessly for the past ten days.

Tidal Waves—Second Punch.

He struck again, this time with twice the force.

Bang!

Nothing happened.

Tyler stood in the treasure cave with Lily, staring at his fist in confusion. He had just thrown a punch, but the technique failed to activate.

"Ahh... It worked when I fought those beasts," he muttered.

Lily patted his shoulder with a smirk. "Well... maybe you need more practice."

Without hesitation, she raised her own fist and punched the ground.

Boom!

The earth trembled beneath them.

Then, something unexpected happened.

Tyler and Lily exchanged glances, their expressions shifting from confusion to a bitter smile.

"I was wondering why everything was going so smoothly..." Tyler sighed.

"Same, same..." Lily replied.

Before they could react, a blinding glow engulfed them.

The radiance burst forth from the cave, so intense that even their concealment array couldn’t contain it.

Far in the distance, slaves and Abyss Hunters alike turned their heads toward the mountain.

From the patrol routes, from the depths of the mines—everyone saw the light.
