The Purgatory Calamity-Chapter 1022 - 980: Annihilating Xinghuan

Xinghuan had lost control of the stars.

Many sources of contamination that had infiltrated the stars were poisoning and damaging His Divine Consciousness, preventing Him from using the Star Rules He had comprehended to make the stars descend towards that lofty Divine Temple.

The Bee King felt a sudden relief in pressure.

"He already knows my origin, knows that I am the incarnation of the Sea of Souls!"

Atop the Hall of Gods, the Bee King was still pondering the deeper meaning behind Pang Jian’s words.

He looked around and suddenly felt that this strange Misty Sea, filled with oddities, was permeated with Pang Jian’s presence.

"Strange, so strange..."

He muttered to himself in his heart.

Inside the Netherworld Prison, the pale blue deep sea that belonged to Him was about to emerge through the Tian Qiong Jie Bi, yet at the moment, He hesitated.

"Could this be a trick?"

He worried that it was one of Pang Jian’s ruses and feared that once his responsive deep sea left the Netherworld Prison, it would be heavily damaged in the external Misty Sea, possibly refined by Pang Jian in some way.

He still suspected that the current Pang Jian was in fact the embodiment of the Great Tao’s will of the Misty Sea!

Yet, He gradually sensed a spiritual contamination that did not belong to Him amassing toward His Divine Body in a manner He couldn’t comprehend.

He was completely unable to remove it, unable to purify His Devine Body flawlessly, nor could He imprint the numerous Star Rules into the heart of godhood.

"The distracting thoughts and wicked desires of beings beyond the heavens, the Magic Path Codex!"

Xinghuan’s expression darkened.

Only when facing Pang Jian directly did He realize the terror of Pang Jian.

When people in Purgatory looked up at the stars, He watched Pang Jian struggle against Fu Ya and Tianyu, directly confront Yi Hao, but He couldn’t deeply understand Pang Jian’s might.

He even thought that Pang Jian’s ability to confront those figures was merely due to reliance on Yan Hao’s Divine King’s Skull and various Realm God Cards.

After all, Pang Jian’s ascension to sovereignty was exceptionally brief; logically speaking, He shouldn’t have enough realm cultivation to stand against those dominating beings beyond the heavens.

Bai Zi was even worse off.

This strong being who was born in the Netherworld Prison and originally believed in the "Soul Path Origin" was filled with bewilderment in her eyes.

She seemed to not understand why the many sources of contamination She released were extracted by Pang Jian from the Sea of Souls and instead affected the stars in the Misty Sea.

"Thunder God is restrained, Bai Zi is exhausted, I..."

Xinghuan felt a sense of dread.

A vortex created from numerous Demonic Energies and emotionally contaminated sources stirred His Divine Consciousness implanted in the stars, invading Him like corrosive sulfuric acid.

The consciousness of this newly risen sovereign of the Star Tribe was becoming increasingly muddled.

He could no longer afford to think wildly.

"Thunder God and Bai Zi are acting on commands due to the twisting of their own Spiritual Intelligence, which I can still accept. You, Xinghuan, are different, you’ve made your own choice, you’ve followed the will of Yi Hao and Him on your own volition."

"So, you deserve to die."

Above the giant sky-obscuring shield, Pang Jian’s eyes pierced through the gray mist, fixing on that most inconspicuous star.

He knew Xinghuan was in there!

"Soul Slay!"

He activated a Demon Tao Spell he mastered.

The boundless mists posed no limits or constraints on him, his gaze was like a heaven-shattering sabre, penetrating through to the interior of the star, locking precisely onto Xinghuan!

"Hiss!"

A dark golden light blade, refined from pure Divine Consciousness, struck towards Xinghuan in the Heart of the Stars.

It was a Soul Blade!

The Soul Blade appeared in an instant above the star, as if maneuvered by the Supreme God, emanating the obsession to exterminate all Soul Spirits!

The hard rocky ground of the star’s surface was virtually nonexistent to the Soul Blade.

It made only a fleeting appearance above the star, and in the next moment, it emerged in Xinghuan’s mind, with the intent to annihilate the soul!

It thus stabbed towards Xinghuan’s God Status!

Floating in Xinghuan’s brain domain was an ancient and vast Star River, resonating with the Star River that manifested on His forehead.

The myriad stars within it hastily released brilliant starlight, constructing layers of defenses around His God Status, attempting to halt the Soul Blade’s assault.

The stars in that Star River became exceptionally bright, illuminating His mindscape with dazzling light.

But suddenly, within the Star River existing in Xinghuan’s brain domain, numerous sources of filth appeared.

Dark green, deep black, dark purple, a variety of evil emotions mixed with rules were born, tormenting and tearing at Xinghuan’s soulful mindscape.

Those sources of filth summoned by Bai Zi, originally intended to confront the "Soul Path Origin," converged from within different stars, and had poisoned Xinghuan’s brain domain.

The resplendent light of the stars dimmed as a consequence.

The dark golden Soul Blade, seizing the opportunity, slipped into Xinghuan’s God Status, exuding a deathly intent of extinction that obliterated Xinghuan’s Divine Consciousness and the newly condensed fresh soul shadows.

Xinghuan’s soul shadows, like clouds of smoke within the God Status, dissipated, and the tiny stars no longer shone.

His God Status also shattered, turning into numerous crystal fragments the size of fingertips.

Those fragments from Xinghuan’s God Status that suddenly fell into the corrupted soul mindscape were eroded away by the terrifying sources of filth and directly degraded into filthy substances.

The fracturing of the God Status and the corruption of the soul also manifested in Xinghuan’s Divine Body.

"Boom!"

This newly anointed sovereign of the Heart of the Stars began to collapse and disintegrate along with the trembling rupture of the stars.

He, maintaining a connection with the supreme will from beyond the heavens, knew that Pang Jian Yuan Shen’s main focus was currently on the minds of the four Great Demons, still resisting its erosion together with them.

Under such a state, Pang Jian Yuan Shen couldn’t possibly offer much assistance to His True Body.

The Pang Jian Yuan Shen in Yi Hao’s heart was now possessed by the will from within the Misty Sea, so He believed that only Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit was formidable, capable of seriously injuring or exterminating Xinghuan.

Yet, there was no sign of abnormality in Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit.

Relying solely on His Dominion-class True Body, Pang Jian stoutly withstood the Thunder God’s Thunder Divine Court while Bai Zi’s insidious influence on the "Soul Path Origin" was rendered ineffective.

At this moment, Pang Jian cleanly and sharply dispatched the Xinghuan He had created with ease.

Luo Hongyan suddenly frowned and spoke coldly.

As Her words fell, the strange heavens behind Her, where light and darkness flowed together, stretched out amidst the boundless Divine Aura, spreading towards the God of Destiny, Yi Hao.
