The Martial Unity-Chapter 3035: Reunited
"The Divine Doctor and the Ecologer will issue their judgment sooner or later," the Emperor of Harmony continued with a grave tone. "However, that isn't the only uncertainty we have. We still, to my greatest frustration, do not know what has happened in the very epicenter of the Beast Domain."
So much had happened since the anomaly had occurred that it felt like a long time, even though only nine hours had passed since the world Unfolded.
He dared to hope for the best, but was obligated to prepare for the worst.
"In that regard, Your Majesty, we have some great news," Director Marbridge continued with an optimistic hint in his tone. "The Omni-Martial, shortly after destroying the foreign entity, has departed for the Beast Domain."
The Emperor of Harmony widened his eyes. "Of course… we have a new Martial Sage. We can finally inspect the epicenter of the Beast Domain and record its conditions and the outcome."
The Emperor of Harmony hadn't even had the time to consider the Omni-Martial's breakthrough to the Sage Realm, followed by her subsequent awakening and intervention. Rui had informed him of her state and the conditions for her return, but they were so outlandish that the Emperor of Harmony had already mentally written her off.
He didn't expect that she would wake up ever, but certainly not when they least expected yet most needed it.
And yet he was grateful for it.
"…Human civilization would have been crippled beyond imagination if it wasn't for her intervention," the Emperor of Harmony shook his head. "We desperately need her as an asset."
"According to the preliminary evaluation of the Esocline Federation that monitored the battle, her power is the highest recorded power that any Martial Sage has ever displayed right upon breakthrough," Director Marbridge informed the Emperor of Harmony. "According to their analysis, she has gone far beyond merely the ordinary peak of the Sage Realm but has actually reached the power of the three quasi-Transcendent Candidates. She was known to be an extraordinarily strong Martial Master, but her power as a Martial Sage will ameliorate the death of the Demon of Asmodeous, returning us to four Transcendent Candidate Martial Sages along with the Boundless Light, the Devil, and the Reverend of Reckoning, and of course…"
His tone grew confident. "Our very own Dawnbringer."
The name hung in the air like an incantation.
As though the very name has power.
The power to protect them all from the horrors of the true world.
Indeed, it was not an exaggeration to say that Rui Quarrier has become nothing short of a beacon of psychological comfort and confidence.
It wasn't just limited to the people of human civilization who has long begun converting to Faith of Dawn as the religion spread like wildfire through word of mouth and the through the Gospels of Dawn even without any further active intervention from the Beggar Sect.
He was nothing short of a living God to the people of human civilization.
So long as he protected human civilization, they were convinced that no force could bring them harm.
"…My son is most certainly our greatest asset," the Emperor of Harmony affirmed what had long become the truth. "Let's just hope that the Omni-Martial find him and all of them safe and secure. We can trust her to get them home safely."
The Director of Intelligence winced. "About that, Your Majesty."
His tone was uncertain.
The Emperor of Harmony sharpened his golden eyes. "…What is it?"
Director Marbridge pulled a file from within the documents in his hand, handing it over to the Emperor of Harmony. "…An informal report from the Blood Goddess, Your Majesty."
The air grew tense.
The atmosphere tingled with peril as the Emperor of Harmony opened the document.
His eyes flew wide open with shock as he read the very first line.
Chills crawled across his skin at the words that the Blood Goddess had written.
[She is not Amare.]
Far away from the Kandrian Empire in the depths of the Beast Domain, She ran towards the very epicenter at extraordinarily unfathomable speeds. The sheer mastery of each step she took exceeded anything that the world had ever seen before as she sprinted with such great velocity in a singular direction that She seemed to tunnel through the very fabric of reality.
Her amber eyes were filled with all the brightness and warmth.
And yet, within them also lingered an extraordinary ambition of power.
Her Gen Temple Martial attire fluttered furiously as she tore heaven and earth with extraordinary momentum and power.
Her amber eyes lit up with hope as She spotted the many jets of the Esocline Federation.
It meant that She was close.
WHOOSH
She tore through the veil of fog and darkness, emerging into the depths of the very epicenter of the Beast Domain and of the Panama Continent at large.
Once where a Lost City was immaculated preserved and frozen in time was now a vast barren landscape.
The heavens had finally calmed down upon the conclusion of the era-defining epoch of a battle between the Martial Sages of human civilization and the Beast That Roared, returning to a normal state and temperature even if turbulent wind currents passed through the battlefield.
The land was still molten and hot many hours after the battle had concluded.
Not even the darkness of night could hide the countless scars and wounds that the battle had left on the battlefield.
She instinctively knew that if the now concluded battle had occurred anywhere else except for the very epicenter of the Beast Domain, it would have destroyed the entire continent and the entirety of the Great Nam Ocean.
She could detect remnants of power that were astronomically above that of even the very peak of the Sage Realm.
There was no Beast That Roared remaining.
The entire battlefield was almost absolutely devoid of life.
Almost.
Her eyes bloomed with ecstasy and delight as she finally found him.
His Martial attire was ravaged by the battle.
His body was checkered with wounds.
His black hair waved as the cool, chilly air currents washed across the entire battlefield.
"Rui."
Her voice was filled with affection and adoration as she cradled him in his arms, pulling him in for a deep embrace. freёweɓnovel.com
They were reunited for the first time in a long, long time.
And yet, not in the way that Rui would have hoped.
