Chapter 75: Chapter 75- The Number One Genius In Jianghu Sends An Invite

BANG!

Sol struck out with his fist and hit a male disciple in his chest.

With a violent cough, this male disciple vomited out a mouth full of blood and added to the many red splotches on the stage. His body was then flung away by the force of the blow to land in the crowd that parted upon his arrival.

"He did it again, just who is this person?"

"Being able to defeat all his opponents with merely a punch or a kick, he isn’t normal that’s for sure."

"How many people did he defeat, and what Rank is he at now?"

"He must have defeated around two dozen people, he’s ranked 245th on the Earth Arena Rankings."

"He’s reached the mid-rankings already?! Has anyone ever climbed the rankings so quickly before?"

"Well, it’s no wonder he was able to climb the Heavenly Staircase, and isn’t this strength only seen among the top rankings of the Sky Arena? Those monsters treat everyone below them as weaklings."

"Sky Arena? What about the Heaven Arena? Don’t you think he might be able to challenge for a seat?"

"Maybe he can, who knows?"

"Along with Mar-Dule from the Barbarian Race, there is this fellow who is strong enough the challenge for a seat in Heaven Arena!"

"I heard they were friends."

"Yeah, people saw them together and it’s even speculated that he’s also from the Barbarian Race!"

As the crowd was buzzing with noise, Sol lowered his fist before he turned to Geon-Soo in the elevated stands.

"I’m done playing your games."

He then turned around and went to leave the stage.

"Ha! Are you running away?"

Most people in the crowd quieted down.

Sol paused before he turned and trained his gaze on Geon-Soo.

"Why don’t you come down here and kill me instead of sending these weaklings to do it?"

The crowd wanted to cheer for Sol’s domineering words, but they didn’t want to interrupt this exchange.

Geon-Soo snorted.

"And run to my death? I’d rather be the fox that kills the wounded tiger."

Sol’s eyes narrowed, but he didn’t respond, he simply turned and left the stage.

The crowd of disciples all watched him go.

It wasn’t a surprise to see two disciples in a heated exchange, but when it involved a high-profile person everyone’s attention would be fully on them.

However, people began questioning who Geon-Soo was, they knew of Sol, but Geon-Soo was a new disciple they haven’t seen before.

As Sol leaped down from stage 101, he and Mar-Dule silently walked out of the Martial Hall Pagoda.

When they were outside, Sol released a breath of air. The green robe youth who was holding Little Zeel reluctantly gave him back to Sol.

While taking Little Zeel, Sol saw that he was back to sleep, which worried him a bit.

Mar-Dule who was watching Sol off to the side, realized he was back to his normal self. That intimidating aura had completely vanished.

"Brother Sol, how are you feeling?"

"I’m fine, brother Mar-Dule."

"Of course you’re fine!"

A figure suddenly popped up next to them and said.

Sol smiled at the person, but Mar-Dule’s expression changed and he retreated a step back.

"Brother Yoon-Jae, this is-"

"No need for introductions, I already know who this pervert is."

Mar-Dule hearing this had his expression turned ugly before unwanted memories floated into his mind.

"You devil, stay away from me!"

Mar-Dule yelled but Yoon-Jae scoffed at him.

"I have no business with you."

Yoon-Jae then turned to Sol and said.

"You’ve really made a mess in there, you shouldn’t have killed those people."

While rubbing Little Zeel’s fur, Sol shook his head and said.

"I was angry, but I didn’t kill any of the people who challenge me. Though I contemplated it."

Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae gave each other a glance, the two had surprised expressions on their faces. From the condition of those people, after they fought Sol, they looked like corpses.

"I did injure them severely though."

Sol said again, and Yoon-Jae soon sighed and patted Sol on the shoulder.

"It’s probably a good thing you didn’t kill them. The Wudang Sect will probably find fault in you for stealing their Martial Arts Technique, so killing their members might just make the problem bigger."

"I didn’t steal it, all I did was learn it from looking at someone using it."

Sol muttered under his breath with a wronged expression on his face.

Yoon-Jae smiled bitterly when he heard that before shaking his head. After, he asked.

"Why did this all start anyway?"

"Someone name Geon-Soo wanted my bracelets but I refused to sell them to him."

Yoon-Jae tilted his head when he heard that.

"Why would he want your bracelets? And why did he try to kill you after you refuse?"

Sol hesitated to answer Yoon-Jae’s questions. He speculated that Geon-Soo might have realized the bracelets’ true value but he didn’t know how that was possible.

He considered Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae his friends, but he wasn’t sure if he wanted to tell them about the bracelets.

Yoon-Jae saw his hesitation, and he immediately waved his hand and said.

"If it’s something you can’t share then forget I asked anything. But from now on you should be careful while in the academy."

"Is it because of that bastard? Who is he?"

Mar-Dule turned to Yoon-Jae and asked.

Yoon-Jae shook his head.

"I’m not sure, but he was able to have the Wudang Sect’s disciples in the other Pavilions go after you, so his position in the Wudang Sect must be special."

"The only person who is of significance in the Wudang Sect in this generation is Woo-Seong."

Mar-Dule said with a frown.

"He’s the son of the current Patriarch of the Wudang Sect and one of the people in the Heaven Arena. As for this Geon-Soo, it’s weird that no one has ever heard of him before, but he’s able to command disciples from the Wudang Sect to kill someone. Even if it was for money, it’s still strange."

"Maybe he’s the son of an Elder in the Sect, or perhaps even an illegitimate child of the Patriarch?"

Yoon-Jae suggested with wide eyes, but Mar-Dule shrug his shoulders.

After throwing out some more ideas, the two then turned to look at Sol who was busy staring off into the distance in silence.

"Brother Sol, what are you thinking about?"

Mar-Dule asked.

"Huh? Oh, I was just thinking about the Alchemy Pavilion’s test that’s in a few days. I should get back to studying so I don’t fail! Ah, maybe I should visit the Martial Arts Library first, I’ve been neglecting to learn a few Martial Arts techniques. Oh! And I need a weapon that suits me too, I heard the academy has missions that disciples can complete for monetary compensation, I can’t just use my fists when I decided to accept one. Now that I think about it, I have a lot to do."

Listening to Sol, Mar-Dule, and Yoon-Jae blinked, before turning to look at each other with bitter smiles.

Why did it seem like they were the ones who were more worried about this situation with Geon-Soo?

"Brother Sol... you really are carefree."

"It’s not that I’m carefree, it’s just that after thinking about it logically what can I do in this situation? If Geon-Soo wants to cause trouble let him. No matter the schemes he comes up with I just have to be stronger to resolve it. So rather than worrying about something I can’t control, I’d rather focus on getting stronger."

Mar-Dule laughed at that.

"I guess that makes sense, in front of strength all schemes are useless!"

The three youths then followed Sol’s lead and headed for the Martial Arts Library. Unknowingly Sol had become the leader of this newly formed group.

However, during their walk towards the Teleportation Hall, a youth in black robes suddenly made a beeline for them.

This youth had a calm demeanor as he bowed to the three and said.

"Brother Sol, Brother Yoon-Jae, and Brother Mar-Dule, my Yong Master would like to invite you to Mount Hua for the yearly Plum Blossom Gathering."

The youth handed envelopes with fancy designs to Sol and the others as he said this.

Without waiting for a response, the youth then turned to leave.

"So it’s that time again."

Yoon-Jae said before he threw the envelope carelessly into his storage bag.

"I might as well go take a look this time."

Hearing Yoon-Jae’s words, Sol looked at his own enveloped and asked curiously.

"Brother Yoon-Jae, what kind of invitation is this?"

"It’s just a yearly tradition that the Huashan Sect has where they invite the geniuses in Jianghu to a gathering for friendly sparring. Or so it’s disguised as."

"Is this the event where they divide up the location of the Hundred Flowers and Herbs Dimension that’s opening soon?"

Yoon-Jae nodded at Mar-Dule’s question.

Meanwhile, Sol was a bit confused.

Yoon-Jae patted Sol’s shoulder and said.

"I’ll explain it to you, but you should attend, I never went to last year’s gathering but I heard the Huashan Sect puts on a good show."

"The Huashan Sect..."

Mar-Dule muttered and then remembered something.

"Isn’t that the Sect that person is from?"

Yoon-Jae nodded. fгeewebnovёl.com

"Who?"

Sol asked curiously.

While they continued to the Teleportation Hall, Yoon-Jae answered.

"The future Plum Blossom Saint of the Huashan Sect, Byeong-Ho. He’s considered the number one genius in Jianghu too, quite a legendary figure. He’s probably the one hosting this year’s gathering."

Sol’s eyes gained a curious glint when he heard that.

’The number one genius in Jianghu?’

Sol opened his envelope and read the invitation letter. He realized the gathering was tomorrow night.

’Hmm, maybe I’ll go take a look, it seems interesting. Plus, I’ll get to see all the geniuses in Jianghu. Ah, this is kind of exciting.’
