The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 66- Uproar In the Runes And Formation Venue
Chapter 66: Chapter 66- Uproar In the Runes And Formation Venue
"Oh, am I doing it wrong?"
Sol said as he put the weights back down on the stand.
"Brother Hong-Oh, I don’t really have any need for your services but it was nice to meet you. And I’m also grateful to you for explaining this venue to me."
Sol took his dakkochi from Hong-Oh who stiffly past them to him. Afterward, he bowed and turned to leave.
It was only after a few breaths of time that Hong-Oh came out of his shocked state.
With a perplexed expression, he walked over to the two-handed weights and followed how Sol had lifted them.
"Are the runes damaged?"
Hong-Oh asked himself as he lifted the two-handed weights. However, after his initial success in lifting it with one hand, his muscles began to bulge as the weight proved to be too much for him to lift with one hand.
Hong-Oh had to grab the two-handed weights with both hands so it wouldn’t fall.
After successfully placing the weights back onto their holder over the bench, Hong-Oh looked at his hands which were trembling from overexertion.
"Who... Who was that? From his yellow robes wasn’t he a disciple from the Alchemy Pavilion? How can he lift several hundred pounds with only one hand?"
Hong-Oh quickly turned around to look for Sol but he had disappeared into the crowd.
After Sol had left where Hong-Oh was, he went on a sightseeing trip around the venue.
However, unlike everyone here that was looking for a way to increase their physical strength, Sol was instead looking at the burly youths from the Runes and Formations Pavilion.
He also cultivated like the Barbarians using his Master Runic Technique, so he was interested in seeing others who cultivated their Fleshly Bodies as well.
But on his round trip, Sol came upon a large stone monument in the center of the venue.
He was amazed by its large structure, but quickly realize he was the only one in awe. Everyone else would just walk past it without looking at what it was.
Sol being curious, walked up to the stone monument to take a closer look, but as he did, a bright purple light suddenly emanated from it to envelop his surroundings trapping him.
"Huh?"
Sol was surprised, meanwhile, this drew the attention of the people in the surroundings.
When they saw the light from the stone monument encapsulating Sol, their expressions lit up.
"Look! That person is challenging the stone monument!"
"Wait, look at his robes, he’s from the Alchemy Pavilion!"
Everyone’s expression changed at that, and their once enliven faces fell before they went back to ignoring the stone monument as well as Sol.
However, some people stay behind to watch.
"Haha, another unlucky bastard is going to get trapped inside for a month."
"A month? He’s from the Alchemy Pavilion so I bet he’s going to be stuck in there for half a year at least!"
"But if he’s from the Alchemy Pavilion, why would he challenge the stone monument? Isn’t he just begging to be trapped inside with that weak body of his?"
As the disciples that remained behind began talking, Sol was inside the purple barrier confused.
However, he wasn’t confused for long as a few texts appeared on stone monuments explaining what was happening.
After reading the texts Sol paused and looked at the light.
"So, I need to break out of here with only the strength of my fleshly body? I guess this is like a test of strength."
The stone monument also said his Aether Cultivation was sealed, but when Sol checked, it wasn’t.
However, he didn’t put much thought into it.
Sol placed his hand on the barrier, and it felt like it could break with just a touch, but when Sol pulled back his hand and punched out, the barrier only trembled for a split second.
The people outside seeing this chuckled.
"It looks like he didn’t know what the stone monument was before approaching it, how unlucky."
However, as they were finding amusement in Sol’s first attempt, Sol suddenly pulled back his hand for a second time.
This time he punched out while concentrating all of his energy on a single point.
BANG!!
The loud noise that resulted from Sol’s punch jolted the crowd and caused them to take a step back from fright.
"W-What monstrous strength."
The disciples couldn’t help but suck in a cold breath of air.
Meanwhile, Sol watch as his second punched only caused the light to shake a bit more.
"Ah, this is harder than I thought."
Sol said as he scratched his head.
"Do I need to seriously give it my all? The stone monument never gave a time limit of when this would disappear, so I might miss out on seeing the other venues."
Sol was down to his last two dakkochi with one piece of meat on one of them.
Sol ate the last piece of meat and then went to throw away the stick, but upon looking at the stick he suddenly thought of an idea.
Sol then began licking the grease left over on the stick clean.
"Haha, at least he seems unbothered by begin trapped inside there."
One person from the crowd said with a laugh when he saw Sol was busy eating.
"Yeah, but did you see his fist strike? Is he really from the Alchemy Pavilion when he has that kind of physical strength?"
Another person raised this question, but before anyone could speculate the answer, someone suddenly yelled.
"Look! He’s going to try again. But... what is he doing with that stick?"
Everyone saw that after licking the stick clean, Sol had pulled back his hand like he was prepared to attack the light barrier with it.
"Ah, is he trying to break the light barrier with that thin stick?"
"Maybe he thinks it’s a sword."
"Haha, or maybe he-"
As the crowd of disciples from the Runes and Formations Pavilion as well as a few others laughed at Sol’s actions, their words got stuck in their throats when they heard a popping sound.
Sol had pierced the light barrier with the thin stick.
As soon as the light barrier was pierced it popped like a balloon.
While smiling at his success, Sol tossed the stick behind him and hurried to see the other venues on the Central Mountain. All while he casually ate his last dakkochi.
However, as he hurried away, he greeted the people who had stopped to watch him break the barrier.
However, Sol had no idea what they were saying when he was trapped inside as all sounds of the outside world were blocked off. If he had heard them then he wouldn’t go out of his way to greet them.
After Sol left, the crowd of disciples slightly recovered from their stupor, and they all turned to look at the stick Sol had thrown away.
"Ah, maybe that was a special weapon."
Someone tried to reason, not even considering the fact that Sol had just tossed said special weapon away.
However, even without this fact debunking this person’s theory, as soon as he said those words a small wind blew in the area and caused the stick to turn to dust before scattering away in the air.
Everyone’s pupils constricted when they saw this. Especially those from the Runes and Formations Pavilion.
"S-Some actually past the Barbarian Race’s legacy test with a stick. Can the Barbarian genius Mar-Dule even do that?"
Someone in black robes said this with a shocked expression.
Afterwards, he turned to look around at everyone before he turned and dashed off, repeating the words he just said at the top of his lungs for all to hear.
In an instant, the others left as well, and news of this shocking incident spread across the venue rather quickly.
Somewhere inside the venue, Mar-Dule was listening to a burly disciple as he recounted what happened at the stone monument.
With a solemn expression, Mar-Dule asked.
"What does this person look like, describe his appearance."
"The people there said he was wearing the Alchemy Pavilion’s yellow robes, and he had black hair that resembles a lion’s mane along with pale skin. He also had a green pet beast that was resting on his head."
Listening to this person’s description, Mar-Dule frowned in thought. He didn’t know about that green pet beast, but he did know one person with pale skin and wild-growing hair.
It was hard not to remember Sol by his hair and pale skin as those were features that really stood out to anyone who first saw him.
But to confirm his speculation, Mar-Dule asked.
"Was he wearing black bracelets on his wrists and ankles?"
The burly youth nodded in a hurry.
Releasing a hearty laugh Mar-Dule asked again.
"Where is he?"
"They said he already left our Pavilion’s venue." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Mar-Dule didn’t waste time and he rushed towards the exit of the venue after Sol.
Meanwhile, Sol was back to his sightseeing, unbeknownst to the chaos he caused at the Runes and Formations Pavilion section.
Currently, he was standing in front of a venue that was extremely different from the others he saw so far.
At the entrance, he could clearly see numerous pavilions in the area. At each entrance of these pavilions, there were female disciples that were calling for disciples to enter.
"What Pavilion is this venue for?"
Sol was curious and he looked up at the signboard over the top of the entrance.
"Hm? Dual Cultivation Pavilion? What kind of Pavilion is that?"
Oblivious to what he was getting himself into, and Sol being the curious child he was, he entered to take a closer look.
