The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 481- A Small Test Of Comprehension
Chapter 481: Chapter 481- A Small Test Of Comprehension
Being that Sol was the target of such strong Sword Aura, it wasn’t surprising that Hua-yin who was almost in the line of fire to his right also felt it as well. She turned her head to see where it came from, and a curious expression appeared on her face when she realized that it was coming from Yuji.
It didn’t take long for Byeong-ho and Yuji to approach the beach with their flight speed. As they made their way over the crowd of disciples below, most of those disciples were too focused on their own activity that they didn’t look up to see who it was. However, the ones who looked up became surprised at seeing Byeong-ho returning along with another celebrity-like figure. These few disciples’ excited discussions didn’t go unheard by the distracted disciples, and they finally turned to see who was flying by.
By the time Byeong-ho and Yuji landed near Sol and the others, all eyes of the disciples a distance away had already landed on them. Yoon-jae and the others also paused their game upon seeing Byeong-ho returning with company.
However, said company didn’t spare them a glance. Yuji didn’t even look at the beautiful Hua-yin who was right next to Sol. Instead, his entire focus was on Sol. Actually, it had been on Sol for nearly a year now and he wasn’t going to be distracted by anything now.
Yuji’s steps were slow but firm as he and Byeong-ho walked over to Sol. By now Yoon-jae and the others were able to sense the Sword Aura radiating from Yuji. They frown, thinking that this person is quite possibly looking for trouble.
Byeong-ho suddenly elbowed Yuji as they walked as he said
"Behave."
With that one-word form Byeong-ho, Yuji forcefully restrained his Sword Aura. Then stopping in front of Sol, he bowed with a cupped fist and introduced himself with a yell.
"My name is Namgung Yuji, greetings Brother Sol!"
Sol didn’t stand up, but he chuckled at Yuji’s enthusiasm and respectfully returned the greeting but with a lot less enthusiasm.
"Greetings Brother Yuji. Since you are Byeong-ho’s friend then you are also my friend so you can just call me Sol."
Yuji nodded but then got straight to the point.
"Would you like to spar with me?"
Sol smiled and responded.
"Before I answer, could I ask why you are so eager to spar with me? I have a bit of fame, but not enough for one to see me as a goal to defeat. You are the first of the Rising Stars to go out of their way to challenge me."
Yuji responded by pointing at the ordinary-looking sword strapped to Byeong-ho’s waist and saying.
"He said I could look at his sword if I beat you in the Two Continents Tournament."
Dae Han, Cheong-su, Cheong-san, Yoon-jae, and Mar-Dule, who had been silently watching this interaction, had their expressions change upon hearing Yuji’s words. From the words just now, it seemed as if he knew about the origins of the Immortal Sword. They couldn’t help but glance at Byeong-ho wondering if he had actually told him of their exploits in the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension.
However, upon further thought, they threw away the idea as that was out of Byeong-ho’s silent and reserved character. Rather, being a sword genius himself Yuji must have discovered the uniqueness of the Immortal Sword on his own and wanted to fondle it without knowing its true origins.
Yuji, unaware of the other thoughts due to his words, looked at Sol with eager eyes and said once again.
"So, are we going to spar?"
Yuji suddenly took a step forward, his hand even landing on his sword by his waist.
However, Byeong-ho suddenly frowned and dragged him back by his hair.
"Stop."
Yuji didn’t resist Byeong-ho’s pull, but reluctance was evident in his eyes. It seemed like he couldn’t wait to meet Sol in the tournament for them to battle. What might be even worse for him was that he likely had to wait until the second round of the tournament as the first stage wasn’t a really good time for a spar. But even then, it wasn’t guaranteed that they would actually meet in the second round.
All of these thoughts had plagued Yuji with worry during his seclusion, so he chose to challenge Sol in the Martial Alliance Academy.
However, who would have thought he would accidentally stay in seclusion too long and allow Sol to leave before he could get to him? He even almost didn’t make it to the Land of Shadows after nearly missing the Academy’s third carrier.
Sol now understood Yuji’s eagerness to battle him. However, the main thing he got from Yuji’s words was that Byeong-ho actually made him an offer like that. It didn’t take much thinking on Sol’s part to figure out why Byeong-ho did that.
Sol turned to give Byeong-ho a knowing smile, to which Byeong-ho responded by showing a forced smile.
’He’s a bit eccentric but he means well.’
A soul message from Byeong-ho suddenly entered Sol’s mind, and Sol knew this was Byeong-ho’s way of saying not to beat Yuji too badly.
Sol believed only a few people could contest against the current him, with Byeong-ho being one of them. So, if Yuji couldn’t beat Byeong-ho it was unlikely that he could defeat him as well, and Byeong-ho knew that. However, this didn’t mean Sol would look down on Yuji. Just because he was stronger didn’t mean he would win a hundred percent of the time if they fought. Yuji was a generational sword genius after all.
But this made Sol extremely intrigued by Yuji’s current skills... the Namgung Clan’s skills that is.
Sol’s expression didn’t change upon receiving Byeong-ho’s soul message and he soon turned his attention back to Yuji. Smiling, he said.
"It wouldn’t be too late to go head-to-head during the second round of the tournament since we both have to be in top condition for the start of the tournament tomorrow. If we don’t meet in the tournament then we can spar afterwards."
Upon hearing that, Yuji’s excitement completely deflated. After struggling for a bit, he sighed and nodded in agreement. He was the type of person to force things when it initially didn’t go his way, but this matter involved Byeong-ho agreeing to let him see his sword. Trying to force Sol into sparring with him and upsetting him wasn’t going to go over well with Byeong-ho, so that was counterintuitive.
However, Sol’s additional words caused him to perk up.
"But I wouldn’t mind doing a small test of our comprehension for fun."
