Chapter 464: Chapter 464- Something Was Missing

"Elder Linhu, those wine jars are some of my best ones, hopefully you and Elder Dongzhu will enjoy them." freёnovelkiss.com

Sol suddenly said before Elder Dongzhu could say anything.

Elder Linhu laughed out loud and said.

"Don’t worry, I have no doubt the wine disciple Solovin brew is of top quality! Just look at how these disciples have been enjoying themselves. You guys don’t have to wait for long, we old folks will leave you young ones to your own devices."—Elder Linhu looked at Elder Dongzhu before saying with a smile—"Elder Dongzhu?"

Elder Dongzhu frowned. He looked at Elder Linhu before glancing at Sol. After a moment he snorted before turning and disappearing with a step.

"You guys can continue now."

Elder Linhu said, and the disciples on the deck all cheered, their voices were so loud it was deafening.

Elder Linhu smiled at this before he went to leave, however, Yoon-jae’s words made him pause in his steps.

"I didn’t think you would be one of the Elders escorting us to the Land of Shadows."

Yoon-jae had his arms folded as he looked at Elder Linhu.

Elder Linhu forced a smile onto his face before he cupped his fist and said.

"Young Master Yoon-jae, it’s great to see that you’re in good health and you’re doing well."

Seeing Elder Linhu’s actions, Sol and the others come to realize he was likely from the Kunlun Sect.

"There’s no need to greet me so formally, I’m not the Young Master of the Kunlun Sect right now but a disciple of the Martial Alliance Academy."—Yoon-jae’s face then turned serious before he asked—"I told you not to step in to deal with my problems. Was it my sister that called you over?"

Yoon-jae’s eyes darted around his surroundings with a vigilant expression on his face. Elder Linhu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when he saw his reaction.

"Young Master Yoon-jae, I will take my leave now."

"Wait, you-!"

Elder Linhu suddenly disappeared.

Yoon-jae stomped his foot because of Elder Linhu’s abrupt departure, but his vigilance went up as he continued to look around.

"Who was that Elder that targeted Sol?"

Cheong-su asked as he and Cheong-san approached the table.

"That Elder Dongzhu is one of the Grand Elders of the Academy, but he’s also an Outer Elder of the Jeagal Clan. Elder Linhu is similarly a Grand Elder of the Academy and an Outer Elder of the Kunlun Sect."

The knowledgeable Ushi answered Cheong-su. Mar-Dule frowned afterward and said.

"No wonder he went after Sol, he didn’t even wait for the first day to be over."—a bit of surprise then appeared in his voice as he added—"But I wasn’t expecting two Grand Elders of the Academy will be the ones to escort us."

"It’s only natural considering the background of the disciples on the ship."

The silent Byeong-ho said.

He had not said a word during the conflict, and he was in a rather inconspicuous position, so it was uncertain if Elder Dongzhu even realized he was there.

As everyone agreed with Byeong-ho’s words, Sol restocked the wine jars on the table for the eager disciples who were gathered around it. Ushi approached with a storage bag and set out the cups.

Soon enough, the festive atmosphere returned to the ship’s deck. The comments Dongzhu made didn’t seem to affect them. Disciples who were considered strangers to each other were chatting merrily even though they were destined to be on opposite sides in the upcoming Two Continents Tournament.

However, while the disciples from poorer backgrounds and those from the smaller Sects and Clans were downing as much of Sol’s wine as they could, the disciples from the Holy Sects and Great Clans disdain drinking it. Even though they were part of the party on the deck, it was as if they were in their own world as they mingled with people of their status while drinking their own wines.

Sol noticed this but he didn’t mind, it was actually better they disdain drinking his wine. He didn’t purposely add those positive side effects to the wine, it just came about as a result of so many medicinal plants mixing together. However, that unintentional action of his had unexpectedly helped him to win over these disciples a bit more.

The night went on but there seemed to be no end to these parting disciples. The entire deck was already permeated with the smell of alcohol, while disciples once in seclusion below the deck rushed up to join the gathering.

However, as the party went on Sol couldn’t help but feel something was missing. He realized what it was when he saw a group of disciples singing with their arms around each other.

Smiling, Sol left the table to be managed by Yoon-jae, Arwin, and the others before going over to Cheong-su who was to the side.

After having Sol whisper something into his ears, Cheong-su f furrowed his brows in thought. Seeing this Sol added.

"Just play a simple tune that will go well with a bass drum and make it dynamic but not too fast."

Cheong-su seemed to have understood Sol’s intention and he nodded.

After that Sol then headed over to Ushi.

"Let me borrow you for a second."

Ushi hurriedly threw the storage bag to Yoon-jae before being dragged towards the crowd of disciples by Sol.

"Where are we going?"

Ushi couldn’t help but ask when he saw that they were headed for the crowd of disciples.

"To dance!"

Sol said with a smile.

"Huh? Wha-"

"Hey guys, spread out a little!"

Sol didn’t give Ushi any time to protest as he came up to the crowd of disciples and yelled over the noise for them to clear a space.

"Huh? Brother Sol, why do you want us to move?"

One disciple with a face flushed red asked as Sol went around shooing back the crowd.

"I’m going to perform a dance for you guys!"

Sol responded as he stood in the center of the clearing he had just made.

Upon hearing Sol’s words, a few of the disciples in the crowd couldn’t help but let loose uproarious laughter.

"Brother Sol, is that true? Are you really going to dance for us?"

"Haha, Brother Sol, did you perhaps lose a bet with someone?"

"Brother Sol, if you’re going to dance for us don’t you need a red ribbon and a dress? All the female performers I’ve seen looked ten times more elegant with the right ones!"

Several more remarks like these came from the disciples, and Ushi who was in the clearing with Sol couldn’t help but feel embarrassed. He wanted to turn and leave but Sol firmly gripped his shoulders.

Sol met Cheong-su’s gaze across the crowd of disciples and nodded.

With that signal from Sol, Cheong-su summoned his zither Innate Dharma in a flash of golden light. This caught a few disciples’ attention, and they watched as Cheong-su sat on the ground and placed the seven-string zither, or guqin, over his legs. He let his fingers hover over the strings for a moment before he started playing.
