The Delinquent Shimizu-san Sitting Next to Me Has Dyed Her Hair Black-Chapter 8Volume 4 .3 - Shimizu-san and the Cultural Festival Tour
Shimizu-san and the Cultural Festival Tour 3
“Still, it’s nice to see you two holding hands. When I first saw it, Onee-chan’s heart went all aflutter!”
“You’re paying too much attention.”
“Ai Onee-chan sees everything about Kei!”
“Your eyes are too intrusive.”
“Don’t look at me with such cold eyes!?”
Despite her words, Ai-san didn’t seem particularly sad, which was just like her.
“So, did you both enjoy the haunted house?”
“Yes, it was fun.”
“I’ll never be coming back.”
“A bit of a split opinion? Well, as long as you had fun, that’s good.”
“Will you be at the reception here for a while, Ai-san?”
“It’s almost time for me to switch. Next, I have student council work, and then it’s the main event for the play.”
“Aren’t you going to go around the cultural festival with Yousuke?”
Indeed, I had the impression that Ai-san would likely invite Yousuke-san.
“It might be difficult since Yousuke and I are both busy. Maybe there’s a chance after the play.”
There’s only about an hour left of the cultural festival after the Astronomy Club’s play.
They must be really busy.
“I wanted to invite him to the after-party dance, but I can’t because of student council work.”
Ai-san was smiling, but she seemed a bit disappointed.
“What will you be doing?”
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m asking what student council work you’ll be doing during the after-party.”
“Mostly cleaning up and stuff...”
“I can do that for you.”
“Ah?”
“It’s not a big deal. I can take over for you.”
Ai-san showed a rare expression of genuine surprise.
“That’s okay. I’ve decided to stick with the student council work until the end. Besides, I can’t make Kei shoulder the work for both me and Yousuke...”
“I’ll do it too. If I help out, it will lessen the burden on each person, right?”
“Hondō, you don’t have to force yourself to keep up with me, you know?”
“It’s not about forcing myself. I’ve been taken care of by Ai-san and Yousuke-san, so I want to return the favor at times like this.”
“Daiki-kun...”
“Besides, any job is fun if I’m doing it with Shimizu-san.”
“Wha?!”
Shimizu-san’s cheeks seemed to redden just a bit.
“...Thank you, Hondō-kun, Kei.”
When I turned toward the source of the voice, there stood the bandaged man I had seen earlier, as if he had appeared out of nowhere.
“Ah!? ...wait, that voice, are you Yousuke by any chance?”
“You didn’t realize earlier? Ah, it must be because of the bandages.”
“Don’t scare us for no reason!”
And so, Shimizu-san and I ended up helping with the cleanup of the cultural festival in place of Yousuke-san and Ai-san.

“I feel like I’ve had a rough time...”
“I might be a bit tired too.”
After leaving the place where we met Ai-san and Yousuke-san, we were heading to the Astronomy Club’s clubroom.
The reason was simple: we were tired from our class’s exhibition and the haunted house, so we wanted to take a break.
“Onii-san, Onee-san, may I have a moment?”
Turning toward the voice, there was a female student dressed in a witch-like cosplay.
The girl was sitting on a chair, and in front of her was a table covered with a black tablecloth.
“Uh? You, what is it?”
“Um, that...”
The female student was completely intimidated by Shimizu-san.
“What’s the matter?”
“W-well, would you like to have your fortune told?”
“What do you mean?”
The conversation was so sudden that I couldn’t see where it was going.
Maybe it had something to do with her witch cosplay.
“I’m part of the Fortune Telling Club!”
“The Fortune Telling Club?”
I had no idea such a club existed at our high school.
Honestly, this was the first I’d heard of it.
“Yes, and I was hoping to tell fortunes for the people who came by, but hardly anyone has shown up...”
“So you decided to approach us as we were passing by?”
“That’s right!”
The female student suddenly regained her energy.
“...Can’t you just bother someone else?”
“No way! Who knows when the next person will come by!”
The female student grabbed Shimizu-san’s arm tightly.
“Let go! Just wait patiently!”
“It won’t hurt and it’s free! Just let me tell your fortune!”
“Like I’d stand for a painful fortune telling!”
The female student was desperate not to let go of Shimizu-san.
“Shimizu-san, I think it might be less tiring if we just let her tell our fortune.”
After showing a moment of contemplation, Shimizu-san let out a small sigh.
“...Fine, I’ll let you tell my fortune.”
“Yay!”
She must have been really starved for someone to read fortunes for. She seemed genuinely happy.
“So what kind of fortune telling can you do?”
On the table were items like a crystal ball, tarot cards, and a few other things.
“I specialize in this!”
Saying so, the female student placed both hands on the crystal ball.
“Then what about all that other stuff? Like the tarot cards!”
“Those belong to the other members!”
It seemed there were indeed other members of the Fortune Telling Club.
“...Well, if that’s all you can do, then I guess it can’t be helped.”
“Isn’t it better not to worry about it?”
“Onii-san, you say such nice things!”
I wasn’t trying to compliment her.
“So what can you tell with that glass ball?”
“It’s a crystal ball! This crystal ball is all-purpose and can tell you anything!”
If that were truly the case, then there would be no need for other tools.
“It sounds suspicious. How accurate is it?”
“Based on my experience, it’s about eighty-six out of a hundred!”
“The accuracy being somewhat high makes it even more suspicious.”
“Don’t worry! You don’t have to believe the bad results!”
“Is it okay for the fortune teller to say that?”
Now I was starting to feel a little uneasy.
“So, what will you divine?”
“Something I want to be divined...”
It’s not something I usually think about, so nothing comes to mind immediately.
