Stranger Danger-Chapter 1192: Floret Jewel Reflection
Chapter 1192: Floret Jewel Reflection
“Foolish curs.”
In a forest eight or so kilometers away from Myriad Buddha Town, Old Man of Snowy Mountain was flinging away the blood on his sleeves and looking at the corpses on the ground with disdain.
They were warriors Zhao Changming had tasked to capture Yi Pin and Old Man of Snowy Mountain. More accurately, they were going after Yi Pin.
Zhao Changming was egotistical and self-conceited, but he was also a cautious man. He preferred to prepare to the fullest extent before committing himself to any action. That was why he had both brought his full power against Ye Qing and dispatched a portion of his men to capture Yi Pin. It was just in case he needed to use the old Taoist as a hostage, and to cut off any sort of future retaliations.
Before he fought against Zhao Changming, Ye Qing had already ordered Old Man of Snowy Mountain to take Yi Pin away to safety. Unfortunately, Zhao Changming’s men had caught up to them not long after they left Myriad Buddha Town. Not only that, they had encountered a good number of ambushes along their way.
The good news was that the large majority of these people were not even a Trueman or a Grandmaster. Naturally, Old Man of Snowy Mountain was able to slaughter them all like livestock.
“Who are you?!”
When Old Man of Snowy Mountain was preparing to leave, he suddenly sensed something and spun around.
As if on cue, a woman appeared behind his back.
The woman was very beautiful. She had hair like soft clouds and eyes like pools of autumn water. Her skin was white like snow, and her face was shapely like a peach blossom. Her white clothes were fairer than snow, and her figure could only be described as terrific. It was like she was a fairy who had walked out of a painting.
Anyone who be delighted to witness such a beautiful woman, but Old Man of Snowy Mountain’s pupils contracted into pins, and his expression turned grave when he saw her.
“Long time no see, Xuesong.”

The woman greeted Old Man of Snowy Mountain with tender words. “You’re as handsome and attractive as ever.”
The woman was very beautiful. She looked even more charming when she favored Old Man of Snowy Mountain with an embarrassed yet lovely look. She was the kind of beauty that could stop a person’s heart with one look.
There was just one problem. Her voice was masculine and rough.
The contrast between her feminine movements and her masculine voice was jarring to say the least. It was a kind of contrast that would make a first-timer throw up last night’s dinner.
Luckily for Old Man of Snowy Mountain, this wasn’t the first time he encountered her. So, he did not throw up his meal.
In fact, the woman wasn’t a real woman. He was a man, a big, brawny man.
Her name was Liang Huanxin, and he was a warrior with some renown in the jianghu. One day, he accidentally acquired a mysterious martial art known as the “Floret Jewel Reflection”.
Liang Huanxin was a martial arts enthusiast. Naturally, he immediately threw himself into practice upon acquiring the “Floret Jewel Reflection”.
To everyone’s surprise, Liang Huanxin’s personality changed drastically after he practiced the “Floret Jewel Reflection”. Slowly but surely, he began to act like a woman. He began to enjoy putting on make-up and dressing himself in luxurious clothing. As his cultivation progressed, his appearance and even body shape began changing to that of a woman as well.
However, his voice hadn’t changed one bit. It remained as rough and boorish as before.
This was because Liang Huanxin hadn’t practiced the “Floret Jewel Reflection” to the adept level. Otherwise, he would be able to convert yin to yang, male to female completely. In other words, he would truly become a woman.
The kind that could give birth to children.
Of course, “Floret Jewel Reflection” did not just possess the power to change one’s gender and reverse yin and yang. It was really an exceedingly powerful and all-encompassing martial art. It was an art that encompassed physical arts, internal arts, Magia and techniques; healing arts, poison arts, gu arts and disguise arts. It was a mysterious, one-of-a-kind martial art that taught everything.
It was thanks to the “Floret Jewel Reflection” that Liang Huanxin was able to kill a Great Trueman when he had just entered the Trueman stage. It was a feat that stunned countless.
Once, Old Man of Snowy Mountain had fought against Liang Huanxin when he was still working in the Brocade Shirt Marquis Office. At the time, Liang Huanxin was just a Trueman, and he a Great Trueman. Despite this, he just barely defeated him when all was said and done. It was a somewhat humiliating defeat where he won purely because of his cultivation level as well.
Today, Liang Huanxin was a Great Trueman. That was why he wasn’t confident that he could beat her at all.
“Long time no see, Huanxin. You’ve changed a lot,” Old Man of Snowy Mountain said warily.
Although Liang Huanxin already looked like a woman when he left the Brocade Shirt Marquis Office, he hadn’t been as attractive as he was now.
This could only mean that Liang Huanxin was very, very close to mastering the “Floret Jewel Reflection”.
“Really? How so?” Liang Huanxin asked.
“You’ve become even more beautiful than before,” Old Man of Snowy Mountain answered honestly.
“Thank you for the praise, Xuesong,” A hint of rosiness entered Liang Huanxin’s cheeks as she replied.
“Have you come to kill me?” Old Man of Snowy Mountain asked after a moment of silence.
“No, I’m not going to kill you.” Liang Huanxin said gently, “I came today purely to capture that Taoist.”
“Come back with me, Xuesong. I’m sure the marquis will reward you handsomely if you surrender the Taoist to him.”
“And if I say no?” Old Man of Snowy Mountain asked slowly, “Will you kill me then?”
“I already told you. I’m not going to kill you.”
Liang Huanxin caressed his sideburn. “But I am going to bring you back with me.”
“You’ll have to put in the effort then.”
Old Man of Snowy Mountain raised his arms, and the thick snow on the ground flew up and toward Liang Huanxin.
In response, Liang Huanxin stretched out his right hand and moved his fingers like he was plucking away at a string.
Without warning, countless crisscrossing strings suddenly appeared in mid-air, invisible and seemingly formless. As Liang Huanxin played them, they trembled slightly and plunged the world into cold silence.
The chunk of snow was cut into countless cubes just like that.
Of course, this was just the beginning. This time, Liang Huanxin stroked the strings instead of plucking them. His hands brushed across the air like he was playing a qin. Like water, the formless strings began surging toward Old Man of Snowy Mountain like waves.
Old Man of Snowy Mountain made a hand knife and unleashed hundreds of slashes in quick succession. His objective was to cut the tidal wave of strings into pieces, but they kept coming as if they were neverending.
“The Qin Se[1] Hand... and the Drum Wave Force...”
Old Man of Snowy Mountain frowned deeply when he recognized the technique Liang Huanxin was using. “Bare hands caress qin and se, drum waves shake the towering firmaments.” The quote referred to the Qin Se Hand and the Drum Wave Force.
Both techniques in the “Floret Jewel Reflection”, the Qin Se Hand could transform force into sharp, invisible threads capable of cutting even space itself. On the other hand, the Drum Wave Force could convert force and spirit into an unending tidal wave.
At this rate, Old Man of Snowy Mountain would lose for sure. Knowing this, he did not hesitate to jump backward in an attempt to get out of the way of the Drum Wave Force.
The second he did this, Liang Huanxin split into nine copies and surroundws Old Man of Snowy Mountain like a phantom. Hands curled like claws, they all attacked Old Man of Snowy Mountain at once.
Despite being a Great Trueman, he was unable to tell who was real and who was fake immediately. That was fine though. He simply needed to respond in a way that did not require him to tell anything apart.
Old Man of Snowy Mountain’s hands abruptly turned translucent and cold. Then, he slammed them against the ground.
BOOM!
The ground shook, and frozen spikes burst out of the ground and skewered all nine silhouettes.
Old Man of Snowy Mountain blanched and cursed under his breath, however. It was because he discovered that not a single one of them was real.
It was too late. Before he could mount another response, a cold palm hit him squarely on the back.
