Stolen by the Beastly Lycan King-Chapter 121: Electrifying Thought
Chapter 121: Electrifying Thought
Althea turned the key in the lock and smiled, her slender fingers brushing over the worn wooden surface of the door.
She hadn’t visited this place in quite some time, and as she stepped inside, she couldn’t help but admit that she had missed it. Every time she entered this room, a thrilling chill would run through her body, sending a surge of pulsating energy to her heart.
It was a space that belonged solely to her—a hidden room beneath the main palace grounds, built in secret by those who had paid with their lives for their loyalty and service.
It was the queen’s spell room.
When Althea first arrived at the palace, she had spent countless sleepless nights here, meticulously crafting her plan for revenge. The queen had gathered rare poisonous herbs and mushrooms, forbidden powders smuggled into the kingdom by nomads, the carcasses of dead beasts, magical creatures, and, above all... dozens of lifeless human bodies.
Years had been spent in this very room, toiling away on her intricate scheme. Now, after so long, the cycle was almost complete. Just a little longer, and her plan would finally come to fruition.
With careful, deliberate movements, Althea reached into the pocket of her black silk robe and withdrew a small glass bottle filled with a viscous red liquid. The once-bright redness had already begun to fade, replaced by a dark crimson hue spreading ominously around the edges.
"How peculiar," she murmured, bringing the bottle filled with Lorelai’s blood closer to her face. "Even blood as pure as hers can darken and become muddied. Her body has started fighting back—and I know exactly who to blame for it."
She snarled as the handsome face of the lycan king materialized before her eyes, his arrogant grin irritating her to no end. She had known immediately when she called for Lorelai after giving her the dagger. The moment the princess cut her arm and watched the blood flow, Althea realized something was terribly wrong.
Once again, the beast king had meddled with her carefully laid plans. He had given the princess his blood, all to observe her reaction, and the result was precisely what he had anticipated—now, Rhaegar knew that Lorelai was under the queen’s spell, and that was one of the many reasons he had to die.
Althea let out a sharp sigh, pulling the wooden cork from the glass bottle. She inhaled deeply, savoring the scent that wafted from inside. It was tainted, yes, but still potent enough. She was so close to her goal now, a mere drop of imperfection would not derail her plan.
With a small sense of relief settling in, she picked up a long, thin brush from her table and dipped it into the bottle. She watched as the viscous liquid, tinged red, slowly followed the brush’s tip out of the neck of the bottle.
Then, with deliberate care, she settled onto the cold stone floor and began to draw. Devious signs. Ancient runes. Symbols whose meanings were known only to her. Each stroke of the brush was fluid and sure, yet her mind was focused solely on the task at hand. As she worked, she whispered ominous words under her breath, each syllable causing her to shiver slightly, as if her skin was being pricked with needles.
At long last, the intricate pattern was complete. Althea let out a long, relieved sigh, stretching her weary body across the cold stone floor, which was already covered by hundreds of similar, cryptic drawings.
"Soon," she whispered, a dark smile curling across her lips.

Althea entered the crown prince’s room without knocking, a wary expression clouding her pale face. The moment her eyes landed on her son, her eyebrows furrowed, and the corners of her eyes curved downward into an unmistakable scowl.
"Did you really have to kill her?" she asked coldly, her voice sharp as she approached Kai, who was sitting on the couch with his back turned to her.
His right hand gripped the leg of a tall wine glass, swirling the red liquid inside it, as if the question barely registered.
"Kai," Althea called again, her voice more commanding now, her expression stern as she demanded an answer.
The crown prince gave a dismissive shrug, his face remaining impassive as he finally spoke. "That bitch was spying on me. What was I supposed to do? I could tolerate her irritating personality, but not that. She could have found out."
Althea couldn’t help but let out a heavy sigh. She leaned against the back of the couch and took a seat next to her son, her gaze unwavering. "If she had found out, I would have simply erased her memories."
"Whatever," Kai muttered, clearly uninterested. "I don’t need her. I only need Lorelai."
Once again. It seemed the princess’ name was permanently etched in her son’s thoughts.
Althea had been fine with Kai’s obsession with Lorelai in the past, when she needed him to remain firmly rooted to Erelith and the throne. She had promised him that Lorelai would be his once he was king. But now, with the dream of seizing the crown so close, his unrelenting fixation was beginning to grate on her nerves.
She was afraid that in his current frenzy, Kai might lose sight of his true purpose and become consumed by his possessive nature, forever lost to it.
That was exactly why she had given him Lucia. Brainless, power-hungry, and easily manipulated, she had served as a useful distraction while the crown prince waited for Lorelai to finally be delivered into his grasp.
’But she just had to cross the line and get killed by him...’ Althea clicked her tongue in frustration, burying the thought in silence.
Faking a warm, affectionate smile, she leaned closer to her son, wrapping her arms around his shoulders in a comforting embrace.
"Be patient, my dear child," she whispered softly. "Remember, our primary goal is revenge. All these revolting humans who dare to think they have the right to place themselves above everyone else—they will be trampled beneath your feet. Just imagine, a creature as despised as a ghoul sitting on the throne. Doesn’t that thought send a thrill through your veins?"
Her words were as sweet as honey, and Kai couldn’t deny the powerful effect they had on him.
King Kai. Emperor Kai. The first ghoul to rule a kingdom. The first ghoul to rule the entire continent.
Yes, the thought of it was electrifying. He could hardly wait to make it a reality.
