[Ding! You have leveled up.]

[Ding! Lv9 -> Lv10]

[Ding! You have gained a stat point.]

Damon nodded in satisfaction. All around him, there were dead snakes strewn about, and he tossed the last one in the pile as well after draining its blood completely. The last few hours of continuous grind were well worth the effort.

35% of poison damage might not seem like much, but Damon knew that it made the difference between instant death and health bleeding out slowly. He had also gained a total of 10 stat points, 5 stat points in intelligence, and 5 in agility.

More importantly, he was able to grasp a lot of things in this grind about his new race and his new skill [Bloodline Extraction].

[Bloodline Extraction] worked exactly like its name suggested. It essentially extracts abilities from the bloodline of the beasts. Well, it actually does a little bit more. Sometimes, it also extracts stat points from the targets.

With the one stat point from the wolf and the ten stat points here, he was well on the way to making up for the loss of stat points from being classless.

But Damon did not care about it because he had an idea this wouldn't be so much of a problem when he continued to spike his level. This was because the abilities he extracted from the beasts seemed to have sort of limitation.

For example, his minor poison resistance hit the max level. Essentially, he was only able to increase the poison resistance by 35% and not more than that. Perhaps he needed a stronger and more venomous beast to upgrade his ability further.

On the other hand, he still hadn't hit the limit of extracting stat points from these snakes. If he continued to hunt these snakes, he could definitely farm more and more stat points. If he was at a high enough level, then he could farm stat points in a matter of seconds.

He did suspect that there had to be some sort of a limit to this cheat, but he still hadn't hit it. So far, so good.

He opened his status screen to take a look at his progress.

"Not bad." His stats were a bit lagging, but he would work that out soon enough. Damon cracked his knuckles and stood up. Hunting snakes were good and all, but he had a ticking time bomb tacked onto him. He needed to stabilize his bloodline within 10 days, so he did not plan to spend all his time farming little snakes.

"Let me see." Damon opened the system interface to check the time. It was already 5 am in the morning. The game was going to shut down soon. He only had a couple of hours left.

Just as he was wondering what was the best thing he could do now, he suddenly received an in-game mail. It was from Arya.

A quiet chuckle slipped from Damon's lips as he stared at the contents of the in-game mail. Arya had sent him a neatly packed bundle—several dozen glass vials and corks, each labeled in the system with her player name and a note.

"Hope this helps! Sorry for forgetting earlier. Let me know if you need more!" The message ended with a smiley face made of parentheses and asterisks.

He tucked the vials into his inventory with a faint smirk. "Hah. She's more reliable than I expected." The girl might be clumsy and timid, but she was very thoughtful.

Maybe she really was that alchemy genius from the last timeline—just not awakened yet. And if she was, then it wasn't a bad idea to keep nurturing that potential, provided he made sure that she would stay loyal to him no matter what.

Damon's face turned just a shade darker before he moved onto the other matter at hand. After thinking for a few seconds, he decided to go with the first idea. Tackling the world boss in the city.

He packed up the leftover mana potion in bottles and sat down to make more of the mana potion. The efficiency of success was exceptionally high as long as he made the potion here so he did not want to miss this chance.

Spending some more time, he now had a total of about 200 mana potion bottles which was a ridiculous number especially on day1 of the game.

"Now, I am done." Damon packed everything up and finally left the spot.
