After finding out about the moss, I couldn't help hesitating a bit as I wondered if I should continue pushing deeper into these ruins or not.

So far, it didn't seem like these ruins spread out like the others did.

There was only a single path for us to take, which was a good thing since we wouldn't have known which way to go if this place had the same labyrinth of corridors as the other ruins.

However, there was also no sign of how deep these ruins were in the first place.

There was no telling how long it would take for us to reach the bottom of these ruins.

In that case, the smart thing would be to turn back since there was no telling what could happen…

But there was a part of me that didn't want to go back so soon.

This part of me wanted to see just how deep these ruins went and to see if there was anything special about this place.

And that part of me won out in the end.

"Let's keep going."

Aisha had been silently standing behind me as if she was waiting to see what I would do. But I knew that she was doing this because she had seen the things that I had done before.

I was the one that knew the corruption the best between the two of us, so she was deferring this decision to me.

Though to be honest, I didn't know if this was even the best decision.

It was just that I felt that I should continue pushing a bit further…

So we continued down the corridor that was completely lit up by the moss for some amount of time. With how nothing seemed to have changed, it really felt like we had spent quite a bit of time in this place.

But with the watch that I brought, I knew that we had only been walking down this corridor for around ten minutes.

It was just strange that there wasn't a single guard that was in this place.

It was as if the elves just didn't care about what happened here.

Only that didn't make sense since this was a place that they had kept hidden all this time. It only made sense that they would keep guards in this place since it should be a very important place to them.

But we didn't encounter a single one.

After walking for a while, we finally reached the end of this corridor.

There was an exit at the end of the corridor and we were surprised to see where this exit led.

It was a large cavernous room that this corridor led into.

Only this large cavernous room had something that I definitely didn't expect to see.

There were these plants and animals that were definitely unexpected, but there was what seemed to be an entire ecosystem inside of this large cavernous space.

"Just how are they surviving in this place?" I asked in a shocked voice.

I could tell that Aisha was equally as shocked with the look that was on her face, but that made sense. Even though she knew about this place, she had said that she had never actually been inside of this place because she couldn't get close before.

But this scene was just too unbelievable…

There was a long awkward silence that lingered in the air as neither of us actually knew what to do in this situation.

Eventually, I took a deep breath and said, "Let's take a closer look at this place."

Aisha was a bit hesitant, but she nodded in agreement in the end.

Though we planned to explore this place, we didn't let our guard down and slowly moved around this place.

This was a large open space, so there really wasn't a place to hide.

While that meant that no one would be able to sneak up on us, it also meant that there was no place for us to hide if anything went wrong. So naturally we didn't want anyone finding us even if we had the Detection Ward and the illusion spell.

But it turned out that this wasn't a problem since there were no guards in the first place.

Even if we prepared, there were no guards that ever appeared.

We took our time looking over this large cavernous space, but it didn't seem like there was anything special about this place. Other than the fact that it was filled with different plants and small animals, it really felt like there was nothing different about this place.

Or at least that was what it felt to me.

But when I looked at Aisha, I found that she had a strange look on her face.

It was clear that there was something that she felt was off about this place, so I asked, "What's wrong? What did you find?"

Aisha didn't answer right away as she just looked forward in a daze, but eventually she said, "It's strange, this place just seems to be filled with life…"

I gave a slow nod at first as I didn't really understand what she meant by this, but then I slowly started to understand based on the way that she said this.

I looked around the room with narrowed eyes, but that didn't help.

So in the end, I closed my eyes and released my mana sense into the room.

It was only then that I found what I was looking for.

Like she said, this place really was filled with life.

It was just that it wasn't the kind of normal life that one would think of when someone said this.

Rather, she was talking about how the air in this place was filled with life energy.

This was the kind of life energy that I had sensed from the branch that came from the Tree of Life. This was a kind of energy that I had also felt from Vivrum when I met her way back then.

Then did that mean that this place was related to Vivrum in some way?
