When night came, I found Aisha sneaking into my room.

With how big the manor was, it was easy for us to all get our own rooms.

As I was the leader of our group, the biggest room naturally went to me.

At the same time, there were maids that were standing outside my room as if they were keeping guard.

They said that they were here just in case that I needed anything in the night, but I knew that they were here to watch over me.

It seemed that the elves really didn't trust us to not sneak out at all.

So it was a bit surprising to see Aisha sneak in through the window.

I looked outside and could see that there were guards that were standing in the courtyard of the manor, but it didn't seem like any of them noticed Aisha at all. With the way that they acted, it was as if they would have been completely oblivious even if she had been right in front of them.

Seeing the surprised look that I had, Aisha said, "How do you think I did it?"

I looked at her with one brow raised before saying, "It has to be some kind of magic spell. I can sense the mana that's coming from you."

Aisha gave a simple nod before waving her hand and I felt a wave of mana fall over me as well.

I didn't resist this wave of mana that came over me, but I didn't know what it did either. It just felt like whatever spell Aisha had used was completely covering my body right now.

"It's an illusion spell. As long as they aren't stronger than me or have some kind of special ability, they won't be able to see through it." Aisha explained before looking out the window.

It seemed that when she was serious about something, she was quite dependable.

Then turning back to me, she asked, "Are you ready to go?"

I gave a nod, but I also took something out before going up to her.

The moment that I took this thing out, there was a strange look that came from Aisha as she looked at me. It was as if there was something affecting her as she looked at me with the look that was on her face.

It took a while for her to recover before she asked, "What did you just do?"

With a faint smile, I said, "I also have some tricks up my sleeve. This is an item that has a similar effect to the magic that you used."

There was a strange look that was on Aisha's face as she looked at me.

After a while, she finally said, "Just what kind of strange item is this? This is like the feeling that I felt from the relics that you have, but it's also different…"

When her voice trailed off, I couldn't help slightly knitting my brows.

It was the words that she said that had gotten to me.

She said that the Detection Ward that I was using gave her a similar feeling to the relics that I had shown her.

Did that mean that this Detection Ward gave off the same feeling as something that was created by a god?

If that was the case, then that would mean that the Detection Ward was something that was created by a god…Did that mean that the Detection Wrad was also a relic just like the other relics I had?

The system was something that had been given to me by a god in the first place, so the items that were created by the system being something that was created by a god wasn't strange.

I lost myself in these thoughts for a few minutes, but I pulled myself back when Aisha asked, "Are you coming?"

After she asked this, I focused back on the task at hand and gave a nod in response.

Aisha didn't waste any time in grabbing me which made a bitter smile appear on my face.

With the way that she was holding me, it was almost like I was a damsel in distress.

But there was no other way to do this, so I just let her carry me as she went over to the window.

"Fly."

With this one word muttered under her breath, there was mana that gathered around her.

This mana seemed to lift Aisha off the ground and soon she was flying out the window.

With the power of the Detection Ward and the illusion spell that we had around us, the guards just didn't notice a single thing as we flew over their heads.

After flying past them, Aisha landed near the road that led out of the manor.

This was the same road that we had taken when we arrived at the manor.

After all, there was nothing to gain from flying through the Elven Kingdom's capital.

That was just a way to attract attention when we didn't want any attention.

It wasn't as if the methods that we were using to hide ourselves were foolproof in the first place. So there was no telling if there was someone stronger watching over the skies of the capital.

It was easier to blend with the crowd that was still on the streets.

Though there was a part of me that was worried that there wouldn't be any crowds in the street.

In the end, I was worried for nothing.

There were plenty of people, or rather plenty of elves that were still in the streets of the capital city. There were as many of them as there would be in a human city.

Unlike how I imagined, the elves didn't sleep and wake with the setting and rise of the sun.

They were just like humans…

"Is this another effect of the corruption?"

I couldn't help asking myself when I saw the scene in front of me.

At the very least, this was good cover for us.
