Chapter 215: Chapter 215

- KILLIAN -

The plane landed. I turn my head to the side to look at the lady next to me. Laid on the sofa and asleep in my private jet is Hazel. Does she always sleep during long journeys in planes or was she just extremely tired or is this her way of responding to her wound? I can’t tell, it’s my first time flying with her but I’ve got to admit, the flight was fun.

Quiet, yes, but fun regardless.

The only time I witnessed this young lady stay awake was when she needed to eat, after that and waiting for a while, while sat up to let her food digest, she went back to sleep.

I find it ridiculously odd that I enjoyed watching her amidst reading. I almost never find people amusing yet this nineteen year old does the trick.

I dart my head to the window staring outside. It’s so good to be back. I’ve got to admit, I hated being an undercover professor throughout every step. I still hate it but knowing it would soon be over thrills me. I’ll get back to my life and probably take over handling affairs of the Iva empire, if I choose to.

With Liam taking over and doing just fine, I may use this little time off to enjoy myself in every way possible. My eyes rest on Hazel. A smile forms on my lips. Sometimes, she looks pretty while she sleeps and other times, I wonder which planet she snuck out from. This makes me chuckle. She will always be my little baby regardless.

Mine. Always.

I let out a sigh. It just sucks I’ll have to wake her. frёeωebɳovel.com

I stand up from my resting place on the comfortable seat to go to the sofa she’s laying on. I really wish I didn’t have to disrupt her sleep. I sit just in front of her where her head rests, and give her a gentle tap on the stomach. I won’t make the mistake of tapping any of her shoulders.

Hazel groans, eyes still shut.

I tap her again. She yawns this time, mumbling a ‘mm?’.

I bend my torso till my mouth reaches her ears and whisper. “Wake up. We’re here.” Hazel moans in return. “Yes, I know you’re tired, but you have to wake up. Just for a short while and you’ll be back to sleep in no time.” I reassure.

I informed Hazel’s parents she’d be coming tonight through her phone so they’re pretty much expecting her arrival but seeing her now, I don’t think she’d want to deal with the excessive questions of concern when she gets home. I’d book a hotel room for the two of us.

Or maybe, I’ll take her to my home. After all, it’s where the magic began in the first place. Where our untamed desire arose.

My gaze darkens as I narrow my eyes to center at her neck. I want to bite that but not tonight.

“I don’t want to.” Beams after, a fatigued whisper.

“If you get up, I’ll get you anything you want for a year. Food included.”

Her eyes shot open immediately and her body jerked up so fast that it made me laugh. I knew it’d work but not this quickly. It’s funny how the mention of food does the trick that easily. Hazel’s face screams for rest yet she’s sat upright. Her eyes are squeezed into a line with eye-bags underneath and I can’t deny how funny it looks. Like those characters in animations or cartoons with dots for eyes and a regular huge head depicting sleepiness.

“You better keep your word.” Hazel moans, yawning amidst each sentence.

“Darling,” I say, placing a kiss on her cheek. “When have I ever not?” It’s a rhetorical question but true. When have I never kept my word. Remind me of one time of it and then, I may start to believe I’m not as true to myself as I think I am. I shove my thought away.

Outside this jet are my men waiting to unpack both our luggage and escort us home safely.

“Would you prefer staying at a hotel tonight or at my place?” I ask her. While I do think either option is better, if she wants to go home, I have no objections.

“A place with a bed is fine.” Hazel murmurs. Her mouth widens to let out a silent yawn. I stretch my hand forward to pat her head.

“I want to introduce you to someone.” I mention to Hazel, looking past her. An air hostess is making her way to us already. It’s time to leave. “Someone dear to me that I do not think you’ve met.”

Hazels eyes, although sleepy, rests on my face. “Who could that be?” Her voice is calm and soft. Traces of tiredness still lingers in her tone but I can tell the evidence of sleep wearing off little by little. Hazel draws her fingers up her face, folds them and rubs her eye.

“My brother, Liam Ivanov.” I say. I could’ve sworn that I saw her eyes shoot out of her face way more than I’ve noticed them do if her face didn’t reset back to normal almost immediately. She looks nervous. This makes me chuckle. “Relax, he’s fun. And he’s eager to meet with you too.”
