Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?-Chapter 1596: Visiting Justicio’s Parents
-----
"Okay it's decided," Nepheline said, after talking telepathically with her husband, she was convinced by Shade to lessen the punishment as long as certain conditions were met. "We recognize your efforts and understand, so we won't be grounding you."
"Really?! Thank you!" Aquarina celebrated. "Hell yeah!"
"However, that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want," Shade said. "We'll accompany you to the Oasis to check on the people, make you apologize to them for bringing them trouble, and also we'll go explore the dungeon, just the two of us. While you go, we'll leave spirits looking over you and your friends, while you stay with Agua and other things, you'll study Magic, learn new Spells, and improve upon the others. You'll be doing Magic Circle Cultivation through Mana Flow Techniques, understood?"
"A-Ah, yes…" Aquarina nodded, looking a bit annoyed. "It's… better than nothing I guess. Though, do we really need to be constantly Cultivating? It's super hard! I can't keep focus on that while I fight… Not at all times."
"This is the reason why your Physique is now surpassing your Magic Circle, you know?" sighed her mother. "Doesn't Sylphy cultivate passively? She's always growing. You should do it like the girl you love so much."
"Ah, yeah I know she's amazing, but I just can't do what she does! She's like on another whole level of genius!" Aquarina complained. "I love her, but I don't really like being compared to her… And Sylphy doesn't like it either! She says that everyone has their own growth speed and their own talents. Some grow slower than others, but it can be hastened with effort and… and study, damn."
"As you said! Well done, I'm glad you listened well to Sylphy," nodded Nepheline. "Follow her words and study well."
"Fineee… But can't you teach me more then?" Aquarina asked.
"We've been teaching you since you were one year old," Shade said.
"It's time for you to figure out some things yourself!" Nepheline nodded.
"W-What kind of logic is that?! I'm your daughter!" Aquarina complained.
However, her parents seemed like the ones that were truly carefree, and just wanted an excuse to go on another date together alone.
After having breakfast with much more spirit, Aquarina's whole family walked out of their house, rushing to pick up "the other two brats" as her mom called Silvia and Justicio.
The sky was clear blue today, with almost no clouds, as always. The sun was bright and strong, its heat spreading through the desert, making it even dried than it already was.
Even then, despite the heat and rough conditions, the Everstonians lived normally and peacefully, used and adapted to life in the desert, they enjoyed every day on their own ways.
Children played around the open plaza area, which had a large artificial spring they built and several tropical plants that grew around it, such as big coconut trees, palms, and massive cactuses covered with colorful flowers.
The large village wasn't just stone either, most houses had some vegetation of their own, larger houses usually had their own artificial springs behind them, where plants naturally grew around.
The most common plant were palms and cactuses, decorating the streets where people walked around daily. A market where people traded what they had was always open, fresh fruit, meat, scales, skin, teeth, fangs, cactus, roots, and other things were always being traded.
The houses, carved out of giant stones taken from the Stoneplate Plateau, were huge, usually the smallest had two floors, the biggest up to three or four.
Everstonian not only lived long but also had… quite strong libidos, families were big, with up to five or six children sometimes. Once a pairing was made, it is said that they would do love until they can secure at least three children before strangely calming down.
Perhaps it was a thing of their race, or maybe a tradition, Aquarina couldn't quite tell, but she realized that situations like Silvia and Justicio where they were single children were very unique and rare.
"JUSTICIOOOO!"
Aquarina called for the boy, as they made their way in front of his small house, which only had two floors and barely a few dried cactuses around them.
"Huh? Aquarina?" Justicio appeared from the window. "Ah, hey. Woah, your parents are with you?"
"Yeah we're going together to the Oasis again to check on Agua," said Aquarina. "Come with us!"
"Ah, about that, my parents got a bit mad, and I got grounded," Justicio sighed. "Can't leave for now… sorry."
"Wait, what?!" Aquarina complained. "No way! Why?! Mom, dad, can you do something?"
"What? That's his own personal problem Aquarina, you can't just barge into it and ask them to suddenly take away the punishment like you did with us…" Nepheline sighed.
"I guess she's not wrong, dear, let it be," Shade said.
"Nah, I'm not! Justicio's also Agua's friend, so he's coming!" Aquarina said grumpily, jumping out of Leviathan and quickly knocking at the door.
Knock, knock! fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"E-Eh? Aquarina! What are you doing?!"
Justicio was surprised Aquarina went so far for him, as the door was quickly opened, and Justicio's mother stepped out.
"Yes? Who's knocking at the door so strongly- Ah!"
She looked quite a lot like Justicio, with dark brown skin, long black hair made into dreadlocks, and her eyes were most of the time closed, although when she opened them, they were gray colored, she had a slender beautiful figure, and was only slightly muscular, something quite rare in this village. She was very tall though, surpassing Aquarina's height quite easily.
"You're… Aquarina, right? My son's friend," she said. "Huh?! Wait, the heroes are your parents, r-right? You came with them?!"
"Sorry miss… I just wanted to ask if you could let Justicio come with me? I swear he'll behave and if he doesn't I'll make sure he is nice!" Aquarina said. "He's a good friend of a priestess girl we met, and it would break her heart if she didn't see him today… we promised we would go see her!"
"O-Oh, you must be talking about that girl he told me about…" Justicio's mother sighed. "Oh my, what should I do now? Well, if it were up to me I wouldn't have grounded my dear, but my husband was the one that got mad at him you see… He said Justicio was fooling around while neglecting his growth and cultivation…"
"What?! But he has grown so strong thank to us!" Aquarina complained.
"I-I know that, and I'm very grateful but… I just can't really convince my dear to change his mind," Justicio's mother sighed.
"Where is he right now?" Aquarina asked.
"He is at the back of our house, curating meat," the woman smiled gently. "D-Do you want to talk with him? I mean, if the heroes come along, perhaps even my grumpy husband would change his mind."
"Sure! Mom, dad! Come along!" Aquarina called her parents.
"Seriously…" her father facepalmed.
"We aren't doing this again, Aquarina…" her mother said.
As they made their way to Justicio's father, they found the large and muscular man working. Despite his tall wife, he was rather small by Everstonian standards, being around the height of one meter and seventy-five centimeters, considered a midget for the people of the village.
His upper body was covered in scars, and he had a long black mustache, with a bald head, he had a really unfriendly-looking face and a big nose.
"Dear, we got some guests that wanted to talk with you," his wife called.
"Hmm? Who is it at this hour? I'm busy- Huh?!" he gasped in disbelief when he saw Nepheline and Shade right in front of him. "T-The Heroes?!"
