Chapter 1044: Chapter 1038 Qing Zhu_1

“This is a must. With such rampant human traffickers daring to come right up to us, if we ignore this, we’d be letting down this uniform we wear,” one of the soldiers commented.

“Exactly, kidnappers are the worst. When I was young, I saw a woman in our village who was deceived by a kidnapper and brought to our village. Her husband beat her terribly. It wasn’t until her husband got into trouble that she stopped being beaten,” another one chimed in, recalling similar incidents from his own experience.

“It’s despicable. Let’s go over and take him in.” The two soldiers understood the gravity of the situation. They couldn’t let the kidnapper get away with causing any more harm to families, so they followed Qin Xue over to the man.

The man, who had initially planned to run away upon seeing Qin Xue and the two soldiers speaking and glancing his way from time to time, hesitated when he saw the large crowd of rescuers. If he ran, wouldn’t he be revealing his own guilt? Therefore, he held back his urge to flee and waited nervously as the three closed in on him.

“Hello, can I help you with anything?” Upon seeing the three approaching him, the man forced a smile, though it was clearly strained.

“We’d like you to come with us. We have some questions to ask you. Once we’ve got things straight, you’ll be free to return,” one soldier explained. They had to take him to the local police station. Ideally, he would cooperate willingly; otherwise, they would have to use force.

“Comrades, what do you want to know? You can just ask me here,” the man replied, realizing what was going on. He hadn’t expected this turn of events and now trying to leave was becoming rather tricky.

“It’s a simple matter. Do you want to come willingly or do we need to use force?” the two soldiers asked, staring at the man.

“I’ll go with you,” the man conceded. He reasoned that as long as he insisted that he hadn’t done anything wrong, they could not do anything to him.

What he didn’t realize was that Qing Zhu had the right to accuse him. If Qing Zhu confirmed she was deceived by him, then he would be guilty.

He hadn’t expected to land himself in such a situation, especially not due to three women.

Qin Xue watched as the man was led away before heading back into the tent. She hadn’t expected anyone to be smart enough to deliver themselves to her doorstep. They had, in effect, rid other families of a potential threat. If they had let him roam free, the harm it could’ve inflicted on society would have been devastating.

“Did they catch him?” Ouyang Ziyu asked Qin Xue as she came in.

“He was taken away, don’t worry.” Qin Xue noticed that Qing Zhu was also expecting an answer, so she directly revealed the outcome with a smile, without beating around the bush.

“That’s great. Qing Zhu, you don’t need to be afraid anymore. That man is captured. You and your child are now safe. From now on, don’t trust or follow anyone you don’t know, understand?” Ouyang Ziyu instructed excitedly upon hearing the news.

“I understand, thank you Dr. Ouyang and thank you Dr. Qin.” Qing Zhu breathed a sigh of relief. Even though she didn’t remember a lot of things, she was by no means a weakling. She was worried for her child, but now that her child was born, she had nothing to fear. If that man dared to come after her, she wouldn’t show mercy.

However, dealing with him might be troublesome while caring for her child, so she was certainly glad to have the situation resolved by other means.
