Chapter 805: Chapter 805: The Confessions of Four Men

"Abigail..." Brandon Piers looked up at Abigail and softly called out her name.

Abigail felt her mind turn into a mess, seeing Brandon Piers go down on one knee and observing the room filled with romance, as well as her grandparents, she suddenly turned and rushed out of the room.

Brandon Piers quickly stood up and followed her, unaware of the situation Kennan Max saw the two come out and according to the original plan, he instructed his subordinates to ignite the fireworks.

Abigail had only just ran out when she heard loud bangs in the sky, and lifting her head, she saw the colorful fireworks blooming in the dark night sky, stunningly beautiful, yet she stood frozen in place, momentarily unsure of what she was doing.

"Abigail, are you still mad at me?" Brandon Piers caught up to Abigail and saw her standing by the road, looking up at the fireworks. He approached quietly and asked in a soft voice.

Abigail didn’t know how to explain to Brandon Piers, Angry? She was just scared.

Past decisions by this man had made her feel extremely insecure, and last time it was Bertha Swift, she could understand that the other party was trying to protect her, but what about Sophia Patel this time?

Brandon Piers waited a long while and didn’t hear Abigail respond, worriedly stepping forward, only to see a familiar figure approaching from ahead of Abigail. His tall and upright body suddenly stopped, then hurried forward, but it was already too late, Abigail had also seen that figure.

Previously, Brandon Piers had asked Kelvin Max and property management to find ways to purchase Jeffrey Foster’s house, but they were refused. Later, Brandon Piers had people guard meticulously to keep Abigail from encountering Jeffrey Foster, yet he didn’t expect all his efforts to be in vain tonight.

Brandon Piers clenched his fists nervously, his voice turning hoarse, "Abigail..."

"Brother?" Almost at the same time as Brandon Piers spoke, Abigail did too.

Jeffrey Foster, leaning on a white cane, heard this familiar term and suddenly stiffened, his eyes blankly staring ahead, but not in Abigail’s direction.

Abigail was momentarily stunned, then she understood, sighing in her heart, "Brother, you’re back in the country."

"Yes." After a moment of embarrassment, Jeffrey Foster tried to appear calm, yet the response to Abigail’s question carried a slight tremor in his voice.

"Your eyes... is it because of the last time?" Abigail hesitated for a moment before asking.

Jeffrey Foster nodded and added, "That incident caused you trouble, I’m just glad you’re alright, otherwise, I would regret it for the rest of my life."

"I’m doing very well now." Abigail looked at Jeffrey Foster’s eyes, whispering, compared to Jeffrey’s blindness, her concussion was nothing.

"That’s good." Jeffrey Foster responded, then tapped the paving stone in front of him, "Should I go back then?"

Bang, bang, bang!

As soon as Jeffrey Foster finished speaking, the sky erupted once again with the beautiful bangs of fireworks, drowning out Abigail’s voice. He stood silently by the side, looking up. Although he couldn’t see anything, he seemed to also know that the sky was dazzling with splendor.

When this round of fireworks ended and the surroundings quieted down again, Abigail stood between the two men, about to say something when a voice sounded from behind first, "Mr. Piers, this proposal setup is indeed grand, if one didn’t know better, they might think you are forcing a marriage."

Jeffrey Foster heard Brandon Piers was proposing, the hand holding the cane instinctively tightened. Abigail then turned her head and saw Joshua Piers, who she hadn’t seen in three months, now sporting a small mustache and wearing a beret, exuding a kind of artistic and hip vibe, and she paused in surprise, "Mr. Joshua?"

"Not bad, huh? Maybe consider me, one shouldn’t hang oneself from the same tree forever." Joshua Piers shrugged, his eyes no longer carrying the coldness Abigail saw the first time they met, now looking at her with intense anticipation.

Abigail subconsciously looked at Brandon Piers, only to see Brandon clenching his fists, fiercely glaring at Joshua Piers, as if he wanted to devour his rival alive.

Seeing this, Joshua Piers said, "You guys aren’t married yet, doesn’t that allow for competition? Besides, you’ve used such a grand gesture, yet I haven’t seen Abby agree to you, since she hasn’t agreed to be with you, why can’t I have a chance?"

"Hmm, since that’s the case, count me in as well." Joshua Piers had just finished speaking when, even before Brandon Piers could become angry, Benjamin Jones somehow appeared on the other side of Abigail, his usually stern face unexpectedly showing a rare look of anticipation.

Abigail didn’t expect Benjamin Jones to join in the commotion at this time, feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

Surprisingly, Jeffrey Foster, who was once the most frantic, was now silent, listening to the noises made by the other three men. He knew that he was the only one without hope, yet he couldn’t bring himself to leave as he had said earlier. He stood upright as if waiting for Abigail’s decision, still clinging to that sliver of fantasy.

Fantasizing that in the end, Abigail would realize he was the one in her heart.

Brandon Piers was extremely annoyed watching the three men, but since Abigail had not accepted his proposal just now, he felt he did not even have the right to refute the other two, only able to cast a grievous look at Abigail, "Abigail..."

Listening to Brandon’s low, slightly hoarse voice, Abigail’s heart felt as if it was being tickled with a feather, itchy and uncomfortable. She opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say.

However, Joshua Piers interjected at this moment, "Brandon acting pitiful is not what a man should do; if you have the guts, we should all compete fairly."

Benjamin nods, "I agree."

Brandon, feeling aggravated, "Who wants to compete fairly with you guys? Abigail is my fiancée, it’s only a matter of time before she marries me."

This domineering and tyrannical tone greatly provoked the other three men.

Jeffrey Foster, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up, "If what you’re saying is true, then why hasn’t Abigail agreed to you?"

Brandon looked up, seeing the now blinded Jeffrey Foster, he knew well that when it came to backstabbing, no one could compare to him!

"Exactly, if Abigail had no doubts in her heart, why would she hesitate to agree to you?" Joshua Piers added fuel to the fire.

Benjamin asked worriedly, "Abigail, did he do something to hurt you?"

Abigail was not much affected by Jeffrey and Joshua’s words, but Benjamin’s remark made her feel extremely aggrieved in an instant, her eyes becoming slightly sour, standing still she neither nodded nor denied.

Seeing this, Brandon’s heart sank, "Abigail, tell me where I went wrong, I will change, but please don’t reject me, okay?"

"I..." Abigail looked at the intense gaze of Brandon, wanting to inquire about his affair with Sophia Patel, but she just couldn’t bring herself to ask, and after holding back for a long time, she replied, you know on your own.

Brandon listened, confused; what did he know?

Abigail didn’t miss Brandon’s expression, secretly sighed, "Come find me again when you’ve figured it out."

Brandon didn’t move, and the other three men also remained still. The four of them surrounded Abigail in the middle, and at that moment the fireworks burst forth again, Abigail looked up, and the others followed suit.

Bang, bang, bang...

The brilliant colors erupted above their heads, illuminating their faces in the night, each one stunningly striking.

Sophia Patel stood not far away, fiercely clutching her palm, her fingernails almost digging into her flesh, the face that once looked like the girl next door was already contorted.

This was the first time Pullan witnessed such a scene, feeling ashamed while also acutely aware of the glances from the shadows, quickly flashing over like a leopard.
