Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!-Chapter 1324: Teamwork

CRAAASH!
With all her body weight, Nyx pushed the monster into the ground, the pink splattered everywhere, about to reach Nyx. Maria's senses wouldn't allow that to happen though. She manifested thousands of hands made out of her aura, catching and destroying the ink.
Then, she shaped her aura into giant snakes of their own, wrapping around the snake heads of the monster and stopping it from spilling this deadly ink everywhere.
"Thank you Nyx!"
Maria quickly attacked the monster, who began to suddenly tremble, its entire body convulsing, as the book within its head started being ripped apart.
"What the…?!"
Maria gasped, grabbing Nyx and stepping back as a gigantic thing emerged from the book pages being ripped apart.
"ROOOAARR!"
It was a massive black dragon made of pure ink, a drawing of one, but that seemed to be the real deal, roaring furiously, it unleashed an Ink Flame breath against the two!
BOOOMMM!!!
The flames not only burned, but they turned anything they touched into drawings, becoming 2D beings! Maria wasn't entirely sure how it worked and if it was permanent, but it seemed to weaken things considerably.
"That thing's a damn summoner!" Emily said, seeing the monster slowly stand back up again. "We have to do something! Don't let Maria fight alone!"
"Yeaaah!" Alma nodded, unleashing the full power of her Magic Aura, her staff glowing brightly and gaining its new crystalline transformation appearance, her aura turning cold. "I'll help as much as I can too!"
"Dammit, we're doing this, huh?!" Sofia said, transforming with her mechanical heart again into a golden Valkyrie-like form. "Maria's not as strong as we thought I suppose, she'll need our support!"
"Let me help as well!" Martina nodded. "Jester! {Playful Threads}! {Confusion Smoke}!"
"Gyehehehe!"
The Jester giggled, unleashing hundreds of long threads and wrapping them around the monster behind the dragon, stopping it from spilling more Nightmare Ink!
"SHYAAAGGH!"
The monster roared angrily it was being restrained, the Ink Dragon roared, firing another devastating Ink Flame Breath against Maria and Nyx!
BOOOM!
However, the dragon ended missing his attack, as it ended hitting another place entirely, turning the place into a scribbled painting over white paper…
"GRRRHHHH?! GRAARRGH…!"
The Ink Dragon was groaning as its head was covered on the pink smoke of the Jester Puppet!
"Well done Martina!" Sofia said. "Fire now!"
Everyone quickly stared bombarding the Ink Dragon with elemental attacks, making its body rapidly beginning to fall apart.
The Ink Dragon swung its claws, tail, and jaws down, trying to bite anything it could, but ending up only attacking the nearby trees.
Maria glanced at the scene in surprise, smiling.
"If I could just transform right here, things would end faster…" Maria thought. "But I can't do that in front of them! Or they'll probably never trust me again… Hah, giving myself a handicap like this, it's dumb but… it makes things a bit more fun too."
She rushed forward, leaping into the skies, as massive Palm of Void and Yang energies manifested, descending from the skies towards the Ink Dragon.
"[Fallen Angel's Radiant Palms of Black Light]"
BAAAMMM!!!
The attack flattened the Ink Dragon instantly, making it scream in agony before it exploded into ashes, disappearing completely and only leaving cinders from burnt paper.
At the same time, the Book Monster roared, unleashing an army of Ink Nightmares again, but this time, Nyx responded quickly.
"RAAAHHH!"
With a draconic roar, the girl burned them all with her phantasma flames, turning them into cinders themselves!
And as this happened, the monster was quickly pushed back by Maria, who unleashed the same technique as again several more times.
BAAAM! BAAAM! BAAAM! BAAAM!
"GRAAARRGGH?!"
The monster screamed in agony and pain, blood splattering everywhere, its thorny vine tentacles wrapped around Maria's body.
However…!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
She sliced them apart with her axe and her axe, hitting the monster's book-like head with everything she had the moment she freed herself.

"[Chaotic Void Weapon Barrage]"
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
Dozens of cleaving and slicing attacks destroyed the entire book, as dozens more of these Ink Monsters appeared, as if accumulated within the book.
Maria simply destroyed them before they could be of any issue, using her Yang Aura to burn them into ashes.
"Die already! You've overstayed your welcome!"
"SHYEEEGGHH…!"
Maria wasn't taking a "no" for an answer, as she saw the monster struggle and beginning to rapidly perish, she swung her weapons again, combining them with her shadows into a massive guillotine blade.
"[Abyssal Death Guillotine]!"
CRAAASH!
The book was split into two halves by the black guillotine blade, before all of its pages exploded and spread everywhere, burning and disappearing.
At the same time, the monster's thorny vine body didn't die or something, moving on its own! However, Nyx grabbed it with her claws and jaws, tearing it apart bite after bite.
"It's not dead yet, kill it!" Emily said.
"Yeah!" Alma agreed.
"Leave this one to us, Maria!" Sofia said.
"Get confused already, damn thing! Jester, use better clouds!" Martine complained.
The four girls overwhelmed the thorny vines and rapidly began to kill them one after another, freezing them, electrocuting them, slicing them apart, or blowing them up into pieces.
Once the final piece of this thing died, there was a slightly awkward silence as everyone sighed in relief and overall, just rested.
"HAAAHH… It's over!" Emily sighed in relief. "That really escalated into some hellish final boss thing! Where did this come from, for real?"
"Maybe it was something like a final boss of the area," nodded Maria. "Well, it's gone now… But I'm kind of suspicious. Was it really natural from the island or someone placed it here?"
"S-Someone?" Alma wondered. "What… do you mean with that?"
"I mean what I mean, Alma," said Maria. "I'm just thinking about the possibility, but that thing was too strong, right? Way too damn strong… It was also there just waiting for us, and its hunting method implied it most likely didn't belong to a wild jungle island."
"Right… the thing about luring people into reading the book, right?" wondered Sofia. "It wouldn't work in a wild area that rarely sees humans, yeah."
"Yep, that's why…" Maria nodded. "But it's just a hunch, we can't find out anything concrete for now. Let's wait and see."
