After defeating all the turtles and Maria's brief apology for having provoked this huge attack from them, they began to quickly carve out the corpses and take the Nightmare Cores from them.
They had killed twenty-three of these Turtle Nightmare Beasts, three of them had their cores crushed when Maria hit them very strongly, but the others were taken down much more simply.
Maria and Nyx helped the party take the hits and also destabilize and swiftly eliminate threats, but the rest of the party also helped quite a lot themselves.
Martina used her jester's abilities to confuse foes and make them hit each other, Alma used her freezing powers to slow them down and then hit their heads with icicle projectiles, Emily used her mighty punches to paralyze and then kill them, and the same with Sofia.
If anything, they were rapidly evolving and becoming a better team over time!
"Mam- big sis! I think this is the last one!"
Nyx ran towards Maria, giving her a Nightmare Core she took out of the corpse of a monster. With this, they had so far 20 of them ready.
"Nice, well done dear," Maria smiled, petting Nyx's head. "Here, some chocolate for you."
"Chocolate! Yaaaay! I love these things!" Nyx began eating the chocolate bar Maria had bought from a near mini market, it had peanuts and was very crunchy, which dragons with sharp teeth loved. "Nam, nam, nam!"
As she saw her daughter eating her chocolate bar while looking completely immersed in the flavor, absent minded and all, she glanced at the rest of the party.
"Despite everything we still got twenty cores, girls!" said Maria. "Something is something, isn't that right? Heeey!"
Sofia, Emily, Alma, and Martina glared at Maria with a still slightly irritated glance, but they nodded at the end, despite the recklessness, Maria and Nyx were so strong that even if they were reckless, it didn't really matter that much.
"Yeah I guess you're not wrong," nodded Sofia. "But don't do that again!"
"I suppose it's great, yeah," Emily agreed. "It's cool we got so many already, this should make things a bit easier at the very least."
"Yeah!" Alma agreed. "Little things like these can always bring some happiness one way or another! Let's look at the positive side of things."

"What should we hunt next though?" wondered Martina. "We got lucky and unlucky at the same time, with these many… but we still need thirty more."
"I suppose we can only find out by moving deeper," said Maria. "Let's stay close together and not separate though, if we end up dividing our forces, we could get caught by the Nightmare Beasts and I don't want any of you here to get hurt, alright?"
"Burp… Yeah!" Nyx finished her chocolate bar in time limit, patting her cute belly. "I want something to drink… You don't have anything, ma- big sis?"
"Yes, here," Maria nodded, giving Nyx a bottle with cold Chai Tea, which Nyx liked the flavor of.
"Hmm! Phew! Refreshing!" she said, wagging her tail around.
Despite everything, the girls couldn't help but find Nyx a cutie, and her presence and cheerfulness alone helped them have higher spirits in this dangerous mission.
She was rising everyone's morale, technically!
"Yeah there's no helping it," Sofia nodded. "I want to finish this quickly if possible though! Today is my manicure and I wanted to be there before the end of the day…"
"Fancy girl with her manicures, hehe, alright…" Emily giggled.
"W-What's wrong with taking care of myself?" Sofia complained, crossing her arms.
"I guess some things never change…" Alma said.
As they made their way through the alien forest, evading obvious traps such as strange trees with big teeth and the occasional field of gooey bubbles, that were totally not some weird poison, Maria checked her status notifications.

"Oh wow, bonus EXP?!" wondered Maria. "Can't believe I'm getting closer to Level 300 already! This place has been bringing lots of EXP. Especially Sofia's Dungeon, it gave me the most I believe…"
If she kept grinding, she could perhaps reach Level 300 today thanks to the EXP multiplied, and if she hunted enough monsters.
However, she wasn't too sure about that part though, seeing how everyone was so eager to leave, so she was thinking about spreading phantoms here to hunt down the nightmare beasts for her.
She couldn't leave them on their own from afar though, if she's too far away from them she won't earn EXP from them anymore!
However, as long as she did it right now while she was within range, it should work…
"But that would disrupt the forest, and it could end up creating more trouble… Dammit, okay let's just be patient."
Maria decided to prioritize the good pace they had and thought about leveling and evolving for later.
"Ugh, dammit, nothing so far," said Sofia. "Do we have to lure the monsters out or something?"
"It's weird how we haven't found more so far," said Alma. "Do we need to go deeper into the forest?"
"Hmm…" Maria rubbed her chin. "Wait a bit, I think I got something that could work."
She quickly opened the Trial Shop interface.
