Rebirth: Revenge of the abandoned heirress-Chapter 85: You are only mine
Chapter 85 - You are only mine
In the morning, when Jazmine Harrison walked out of the bedroom, she was wearing an oversized shirt. She wandered around the penthouse but couldn't find Sebastian. With a frown, she halted.
Last night, they had talked late into the night, cuddled up together. They hadn't done anything more than that. Sebastian was understanding. Even though he desperately wanted her, he hadn't done anything beyond holding her, providing her the comfort of his embrace.
Thinking about that, warmth spread through Jazmine's chest, and a smile appeared on her face.

"Sebastian?"
Jazmine walked into the kitchen and wasn't surprised to find him standing in front of the stove, cooking efficiently—like a highly skilled chef.
Last night, she had mentioned missing his cooking. Had he come here just for that?
"Why are you smiling like that?" Sebastian asked when he noticed her persistent gaze. "Do I look that handsome?"
"Oh, please!" Jazmine laughed. "I just remembered—I once planned to chase you away by cooking something awful for you." She pulled out a chair and sat down.
"That wouldn't have worked. Everything made by your hands tastes delicious to me."
"You haven't changed, have you?"
Jazmine still remembered that no matter how terrible her cooking had been in the past, he would eat it all—not only without complaint but with eagerness. To top it off, he would even praise her later and ask for more. On the other hand, Elias would act as if he were being poisoned. But under Sebastian's sharp glares, he wouldn't dare protest and would eat obediently.
"How is Elias?" Jazmine asked, lost in memories of the past. There was so much missing in her life. Recalling the happy moments she had spent with the Crowne brothers, she looked gleeful.
"He misses you a lot."
Of course, he did. Since the day Jazmine left, Elias's older brother had completely changed into a tyrant. Elias would do anything to bring back the brother who wouldn't glare at him every ten seconds.
But neither Sebastian nor Jazmine knew that. And she was happy to hear that Frank missed her.
"Here you are."
Sebastian placed a plate of delicious-looking French toast on the table and sat across from her. Jazmine's mouth immediately watered at the sight. Without any hesitation, she picked up her knife, cut a piece, and popped it into her mouth. The sweetness and rich flavor filled her senses.
"Delicious."
She didn't waste any time and continued eating, piece after piece. Meanwhile, Sebastian didn't touch his food. He simply stared at her, watching her eat.
"What?" Jazmine asked, her mouth full. Her voice came out slightly muffled—and in Sebastian's eyes, adorable.
"You have changed, too," he said with a smile. "Still eat like a pig."
"Who are you calling a pig?" Jazmine glared at him, picked up her plate, and tilted it to one side so he couldn't see her eating anymore. She ate grumpily.
"So childish."
Sebastian chuckled and finally picked up his fork to start eating. Unlike Jazmine, his table manners were impeccable—refined, smooth, and graceful, like someone of noble birth.
In peaceful silence, they finished breakfast together. Once they were done, Sebastian picked up the plates and carried them to the sink.
"Such a gentleman," Jazmine teased, propping her chin on her hand as she leaned on the table.
"I should train myself for the future."
"For the future?"
Jazmine's heart thumped. She looked up at him expectantly. He didn't seem like he had said that casually—his expression told her he was completely serious.
"I told you—I won't leave your side again."
After placing the dishes in the sink, Sebastian walked back and sat across from her. He gazed directly into her eyes, showing his sincerity.
"In fact, I wanted to talk to you about this last night. But I didn't want to scare you by rushing things. But, Jazmine... ever since the day I met you, I knew you were the one I wanted to spend my life with. It's either you or no one."
Jazmine's breath hitched. Her heart pounded loudly.
"What are you trying to say? Please be clear."
She had known this moment would eventually come, but still, hearing it made her chest tighten in a way she couldn't explain.
"Jazmine, I want you to marry me."
Sebastian grasped her hand, as if afraid she might refuse if he let go.
"Stay with me for the rest of my life. Let's spend our days together happily. Build a family together. Do you remember my mother? She always wanted you as her daughter-in-law. We'll always support you.
"Agree to marry me and make me the happiest man in the world."
Jazmine felt conflicted. After a long silence, she slowly pulled her hand out of his grasp.
Sebastian felt as though his heart had been pierced when the warmth of her hand left his.
"If you're not ready now, that's okay," he said quickly. "I can wait. I've waited so long—I can wait longer for you. You don't need to feel pressured."
Jazmine's eyes softened when she heard the vulnerability in his voice.
"I'm not going anywhere, Sebastian. I just..."
She looked away.
"There are certain things I need to take care of first."
"Tell me what's worrying you. I'll do everything in my power to make things the way you want them."
"I know you could accomplish that easily. But these are things I need to handle on my own. I don't want anyone else interfering."
"I understand," he said immediately. "But promise me—you won't let any other man touch you until the day you're ready to marry me."
As he spoke, his eyes darkened. Even the mere thought of another man approaching her filled him with rage. If anyone dared to even look at Jazmine inappropriately, he would tear them apart.
Now that she had acknowledged him, there was no way he would tolerate anyone else.
Jazmine knew he was thinking about David when he said that. She laughed.
"You don't even need to ask. Even if you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't go near any man."
