Paragon of Sin-Chapter 1825 - 1818 | ACT II (2)
Sensing Suo Haoran's gaze, Long Shiya's unpleasant expression underwent a shift as his left eyebrow lifted with curiosity. 'What does this bastard want?'
After the fiasco with Tianshi Ya, Long Shiya felt displeased with Suo Haoran in his heart. As the type to hold grudges, he was wholly nursing it, which was only exacerbated by Su Yi's situation. He was already regretting not acting against Su Yi directly, having sent subordinates in his stead, and allowing the little maggots to grow into a tiger. If not for her, that damned solar light-radiating bitch, he would have not only dealt with Su Yi but acquired his secrets long ago.
However, at the time, entering into conflict with his only sect equal just for a Mystic Ascendant Realm ant was simply not worth it. They were, after all, the second greatest Pavilion within the Utmost Purity Galaxy, and this was a great accomplishment achieved by only having two Supreme Sages at its helm. If he had known this would have
happened, including the disgusting fact that this maggot-grown-tiger could one day bite him in the ass, he would have…
Hindsight was 20/20!
"What?" Long Shiya spat.
Suo Haoran smiled. "Sovereign Abhorrent Sky, the Zeniths wish to discuss some matters with you."
"The Zeniths?" Long Shiya was taken aback immediately. The Zeniths were the collective identity and title of all seven Heavenly Saint Alchemists of the galaxy, and each had genuine, proper lineages founded by heaven-rivaling
alchemical products or abilities. Unlike other Heavenly Saint Alchemists in the galaxy, either those who used inferior products or rode the coattails of their ancestors directly, each of the Zeniths were Alchemists that had a
Mystic-Heaven Alchemical Lineage of their own!
He immediately grew suspicious. Suo Haoran rarely, if ever, referred to him by his title. He almost always addressed him by his true name—Long Shiya. While it was obfuscated so that Tianshi Ya couldn't hear it or learn of it, it was a very clear act by Suo Haoran to announce his superiority, diminishing his own momentum. This was deliberate.
Very few in this galaxy understood the concepts of momentum, especially its Laws, but Suo Haoran was an extraordinary cultivator who understood how to navigate around and halt any advantages against him. For example, the utterance of his title—Sovereign Abhorrent Sky or the Abhorrent Sky Sovereign—generated a formless momentum that assisted his cultivation efforts and affected his combat ability.
It's like how someone who understood the Laws of War might commit suicide to prevent their energy, essence, and body from being claimed by their enemy. In the Knightly Dao Pavilion, it was taught that in a battlefield overseen by an enemy cultivator who cultivated the Authority of War to self-detonate upon signs of defeat. Moreover, it had to be a complete detonation.
If the cultivator sought to claim their energy, essence, and body, they would have to exhaust a portion of their power, including the core energy of their souls to do so. This would weaken them slightly, and if performed enough, could shut down the Authority of War outright. It was a detail that was exceedingly brutal yet practical.
Just Long Shiya's title spoken by Suo Haoran's Incarnation was equivalent to a True Sage, and Long Shiya instantly felt his momentum bolster. Of course, there were restrictions to this, and he couldn't simply force others to utter his name, and the gathering of momentum would significantly drop upon repeated utterances.
Long Shiya didn't question Suo Haoran's intent after, knowing he wouldn't dare play around with the Zeniths.
"When?" His face shifted to a heavy, solemn sight.
"Now," Suo Haoran pointed at a location with an outstretched arm.
The Golden Night Sovereign looked in that direction. Her eyes glowed as she used her galaxy-observing ocular spell, zooming in until she located a seven-colored planet. It was entirely created by Alchemical Power, an artificial planet.
"The Zenith World!" Her eyes widened.
Long Shiya's heart raced with disbelief. Closing his eyes, he connected with his real body. His Incarnation surprisingly went inactive.
Suo Haoran nodded slightly seeing this. The Zenith World was an artificial planet, but it wasn't created by any long-lasting planetary-cultivation art but by a spiritual spell.
It required all seven Zeniths to collaborate their Spiritual Power and uniquely refined Utmost Purity Mist to create, and it acted as a stage much like the Utmost Unity Mind-Realm but for outsiders like Long Shiya and the Golden Night Sovereign. It didn't last long, but any Alchemist lucky enough to set foot on it while it lasted was granted a heavenly opportunity.
He shifted his attention to the closed-eyed Tianshi Ya, his gaze gradually turned tender and loving. With a surge of qi, he touched her glabella. It was only a tiny wisp, but it should be enough for her to condense one or two Unity Essence.
His current Incarnation grew faint, only stabilizing after forming a hand-seal and gathering external essence from the region.
Normally, he definitely would not be able to bring her into the realm, but this unique opportunity presented itself, and he had no choice but to force it through disregarding the displeasure of so many others. And he would do it again and again—for her.
Despite taking an exceedingly long time to describe, from the announcement of Wei Wuyin's counter-challenge to now, only a few seconds had passed in real-time. To mortals, this was little more than a few blinks of their eyes, but to those at the upper-level of the Mystic Ascendant Realm and Supreme Sages, it was enough to determine the fate of a galaxy and a half.
Wei Wuyin kept radiating world pressure, fending off the heavenly force of the six Zenith Towers with visual ease, yet internally, his four Astral Souls were working at full-throttle.
They were no different than four ants trying to push back a pebble. It was profoundly difficult!
All the bravado and ease was a well-crafted facade. While his cultivation base had reached the Mystic Star Phase, his foundation had yet to be maximized, and he had to hold back.
"ROAR! I! HATE! THIS!" Kratos complained without holding back. Wei Wuyin had to reinforce his body to prevent the draconic roars from radiating throughout the Stellar Region.
"Crush them! Crush them!! Crush them!!!" Ori was unusually violent, shouting for violence against the six Zenith Towers.
"..." King was silent. Wei Wuyin knew this was due to the difficult act of suppressing the erupting potential within it.
"We're almost there," Eden consoled Ori and Kratos, genuinely acting as the more reasonable and responsible sibling among the four. Still, the frustration within its words was hard to hide.
Wei Wuyin could only helplessly smile in his heart. His current exertion of World Pressure was significantly weaker than his full power. The transcendent Neo-Dawn World-Eclipsing Pill refined with an aura of eternity was the reason! It had blessed him with an extraordinarily heaven-defying power, and to these Astral Souls, it was almost as if they had to act as ants holding back a pebble when they were wolves capable of chewing it to pieces.
But what could he do with that?
In actuality, just the fact that his World Pressure could resist the heavenly force of six Mystic-Heaven grade tools like the Zenith Towers was already an unprecedented feat!
If he unfurled his domain…
Suddenly, the heavenly force of the Zenith Towers receded like a rolling tide. Those observing were stunned by this development!
Witnessing this uplifting sign of situational change, Wei Wuyin skillfully retracted his world pressure as if it was inhaling a single breath. After doing so, he sensed the seething aura within him on the verge of completely erupting, and he couldn't help but frown. This expression was caught by those observing, all sorts of thoughts and random conclusions were formed by their hypersensitivity.
Wei Wuyin was attracting simply too much attention, and his every move was analyzed repeatedly to ensure not the slightest mistake. Unfortunately for them, if the premise of your thoughts and assumptions were woefully incorrect, every other conclusion was bound to be equally failing or horrendously wrong in accuracy.
"I seek the Seven Utmost Tower's Zeniths' permission to act as your Enforcer of Will! Allow me, Abhorrent Sky, the Founding Patriarch of the Primal Peerless Sect of our great galaxy, to act in your stead and accept the challenge of World-Saint Neo-Dawn!" A strong, heavy, storm-like voice thundered across the galaxy for countless to hear, only sparing mortals and those completely focused on their cultivation.
A hulking man who was excessively handsome, exuding peak masculinity, and pulsating with a mountainous aura arrived a few hundred thousand miles away from the Armored Boon Stellar Region's celestial borders. While he was only eight feet tall, he projected a sturdy spiritual manifestation that was hundreds of thousands of kilometers tall, exceeding some planets in size and magnitude.
This was a True Idol Manifestation, not the unique cultivation ability of Soul Idol Phase cultivators at the Astral Core Realm, but a type of spiritual qi art that only True Soul Phase and Resonant Soul Realm cultivators could unleash. It wasn't very practical in terms of battle, but it cut an extraordinarily unforgettable impression, resembling a divinity that has siphoned a wisp of heaven's might!
Within various subspaces in the Original Dawn Palace, observing action unfold, Wei Xiaotian, Yue Songli, Qing Qiumu, Cao Cuifen, Liu Suyin, Xi Ning, and Qing Wan had their hearts simultaneously clenched. The sight of Long Shiya brought visceral emotions of shock!
"...husband…" Cao Cuifen was, for the first time in a long, long time…uncertain. Was Wei Wuyin's plan to fight against a Supreme Sage? While she had absolute confidence in Wei Wuyin, the concept of a Resonant Soul Realm was unimaginable in her or the others' minds, and witnessing their grand majesty through a spiritual projection was indescribably dreadful.
Wei Xiaotian had feared this scenario occurring, hence why she wanted to give Wei Wuyin her all, bestowing him with all her untapped knowledge within her soul. If he had, his understanding of all things beneath the heavens would have allowed him to navigate his schemes with greater efficiency.
However, when she thought about Wei Wuyin's words that day, her unsettled heart on the verge of rampaging with worry grew abnormally calm and confident. She would trust him.
She had to!
Unbeknownst to any observer, Wei Wuyin observed at Long Shiya with a measuring eye. Then, the voice of all seven Zeniths resounded in harmony.
The Voice of Zeniths!
It was almost like a deity speaking and all must listen!
"Permission granted!"
Two words and the observers were instantly sent into turmoil. Were two Supreme Sages going to fight? Where?
Hopefully not in their galaxy!
"Have you prepared yourself, World-Saint Neo-Dawn?" Long Shiya asked with an imposing momentum that seemed to hate the world for having limits!
Wei Wuyin stretched his limbs and rustled his sleeves. His body slowly moved forward. He cracked his finger joints with a few tight clenches and releases. "Have you?" His voice was low yet incomparably loud, projected by his Spiritual Strength.
Long Shiya stared intently at Wei Wuyin. The offer of the Zeniths was far too tantalizing to refuse, and all he had to do was resist three moves. That was easy enough to do. He wasn't an idiot, nor did he reach this level of cultivation by being reckless, and so he already had the confidence to survive a dozen moves without relying on his own power, let alone using his own strength.
After all, there was no mention of restricting the use of external strength or armaments. And the Zeniths were already fully prepared. He understood they simply were avoiding the risk of an unpredictable situation or anomaly, not desiring to lose anything on their part to this segue.
Additionally, he wanted to obtain Su Yi's location the most.
"Do you want to choose the arena of this exchange or shall I?" Wei Wuyin asked, no longer caring if Long Shiya had his affairs in order.
Long Shiya nodded. He brought out a glistening translucent pearl the size of a child's fist. Then, he tossed it into the Void-Blank Space he was currently in.
The pearl merged with space. Within a single breath of time, an entire section of space roughly two million miles wide was carved out, becoming a glowing translucent orb that rivaled a starfield.
Wei Wuyin's eyes glowed intensely.
A Shell World Pearl!
No, this wasn't exactly a Shell World Pearl that Earthly Saints used for sparring or to trap their foes in an isolated region. This was far greater, affixed to the three dimensions of space, and thoroughly insulated from the outside world. It created an entirely isolated region in the world.
"This supreme-grade Shell World Pearl will be sufficient," Long Shiya coldly announced as his huge, hulking True Idol Manifestation turned into a stream of light that entered the world Realm within.
Wei Wuyin didn't waste a single step—he flew with stupefying speeds, entering the realm without obtaining prior permission. He simply executed his Minor Authority of Imperial Law and commanded: "Open."
The pearl naturally created an opening for him to enter, as if ushering its emperor with unrivaled worship.
This sight caused the eyes of the Zeniths, Suo Haoran, the Elephant-Tigress Sovereign, the Golden Night Sovereign, and every other Sovereign Knight, Dao Enforcer, and unaffiliated Supreme Sage observing to feel extreme shock!
Simultaneously, they all realized something happened!
The world within the pearl, all means of observation were severed! They could no longer sense what was happening inside the pearl!
The world within the pearl was lifeless and without a functioning ecosystem, but it had chaos mana to an extreme alongside varied energies and essences of every type, causing the space to be filled with colorful chaos. To the Ascended beings at the upper-stages of the Mystic Ascendant Realm, this was a mild hindrance to their senses, and to those in the Resonant Soul Realm, it was entirely irrelevant.
However, it had a cloudy sky and a continent of pure earth with a variety of terrain. It was suitable for a battlefield of any type without any true favoritism.
Long Shiya's True Idol Manifestation was dispersed as he conserved his soul energy. He deeply inhaled as he observed Wei Wuyin entering the pearl's world with ease.
Wei Wuyin then lifted his palm.
"Sever all eyes."
The mutated Minor Imperial Law acted as the core as the four others—Origin, Annihilation, Space, and Time— supported it, all mutated to nearly rival Major Authorities, effectively severing all forms of observation from the outside world. Those inside would have to breach his Laws before doing so.
Long Shiya's brows furrowed heavily. He noticed that Wei Wuyin had decisively prevented any observers from spectating.
Then, he looked at Long Shiya. "Let's make a Mythical Oath: All events occurring within this pearl world can not be repeated to the outside world. This will include any secret arts, spells, items, or tools either of us may use. Moreover, I'll stop attacking after three moves, and we'll end it there."
Long Shiya's heart throbbed. But thinking about the slight possibility that Wei Wuyin might push past three moves, he felt comforted by Wei Wuyin's words. Additionally, he didn't want to expose all his trump cards either, so this would suit his needs.
He didn't hesitate to make the oath. They spent a full minute determining word usage and preventing any loopholes. As a Resonant Soul Realm expert, Long Shiya was fully aware to never break a Mythical Oath at his level. After all, the Elephant-Tigress Sovereign relied on and caused severe damage to the Zenith Refinement Tower by jointly resisting its horrific strength.
He didn't have a Zenith Tower to rely on.
Wei Wuyin visibly relaxed. Seeing that no one had tried to breach the pearl, he could breathe out a breath of relief. This meant they were truly alone.
"Perfect! I no longer have to hide," Wei Wuyin said, confusing Long Shiya immediately. Then what happened next caused his eyes to widen to an extreme extent!!
