Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential-Chapter 126: Existence of a Chosen One
Chapter 126: Existence of a Chosen One
After talking with the Emperor-rank Pet Monsters and telling them about the Monster Mutation Evolab.
"Are you two ready?"
Luxveil Mirage Stag and Whispthorn Windveil Crow nodded.
In the next second, John snapped his finger.
Both Luxveil Mirage Stag and Whispthorn Windveil Crow arrived in the large white hall of the Monster Mutation Evolab.
In the two five meter containers of the Monster Cross Breeding device, both Monsters arrived.
Inside the green liquid with colorful sparks, both Monsters felt a strange comfort and instantly fell asleep.
John looked at the gathered Molding Essence.
864,892 Molding Essence.
He was going to get almost 700k Molding Essence Daily, so even if he spent 500k, he would get enough soon to upgrade the Monster Paradise.
Without further ado, John consumed 500k Molding Essence for the type-2 Cross Breeding, where the new monster birthing from those two will be nurtured, emerging directly as an Emperor-rank Monster.
As soon as he activated the device, both containers started bubbling faintl,y while from the middle, a strange round container with dark gold patterns emerged.
[ Estimated time required until the complete process is finished — 89 hours. ]
’So almost four days, huh?’ John blinked.
That was actually way shorter than what he had initially assumed.
Getting his conciousness out of the Monster Mutation Evolab, John opened his eyes outside and saw the other four Emperor-rank Monsters.
"I wish I could contract with you, but as a Gold-rank Tamer, I can’t," John wryly smiled. "I do plan to create a new type of soul contract that is not disadvantageous to the Monsters and spread it, but I don’t need a contract as long as I have your trust."
Nexlock Glacient Lion snorted and said. "You’re the only one who thinks like that. Others are selfish assholes. Anyway, the food you gave us was awesome. When will we get more?"
"You’ll get more when you make a contribution," John said with a grin. "It won’t be long since I am already planning to make a move right now."
Jibril and Azelis arrived in the Monster Hub area since John didn’t give them an update after he disappeared to check if the Emperor-rank Monsters were alive.
But upon seeing those monsters, they felt relieved.
They almost thought that John had gotten the bad news and didn’t want to tell them about it yet.
"So you succeed, John."
"Yep and now that you two are here, it’s time that we go out and have some fun." John grinned. "However, we won’t be going to the nexus city."
Jibril blinked. "Where else if not there?"
Azelis was also confused. The plan was to check out the state of Nexus City and let John see the dynamics of various forces there.
"We are going to the main city that the forces of the Whelshwing continent have in the Mysrin Archipelago."
"What?! But that’s the enemy territory." Azelis frowned.
"Not our enemies. Certainly not mine," John said as a glint passed through his eyes. "We are going there as a merchant company."
"I don’t plan to become a part of Nexus City or the city of Whelshwing continent’s forces. I am my own force."
"And I have my Monster Paradise," John said, his eyes sparking with dominance. "And I want to make sure that we become the most prominent force in the whole of Mysrin Archipelago. Feared and respected."
"That..." Azelis was at a loss for words while Jibril was dumbfounded at John’s ambitions.
"What about the so-called higher-ups?" Jibril asked. "The forces established in these two continents have the so-called higher-ups."
"Doesn’t matter. Screw them," John waved his hand. "The fact we know is that the peak of power in this world is Sovereign-rank. The so-called higher-ups can’t descend here, and they can only send Sovereign-rank Powerhouses."
"To attain dominance, we just have to make sure that no Sovereign-rank Tamer can harm us. But before that, we have to create an image of our merchant house with deep-rooted mystery and foundation."
"We have to let people know even we have higher-ups." John grinned and continued. "And ours are stronger and better."
Azelis’s eyes lit up. "And you can make people believe that with your unique powers."
Suddenly, Chuthulos’s avatar arrived with a fake and loud cough, attracting everyone’s attention.
"Brother John, I understand your wish and desire and how you want to do things. Your plan is very good and I have no problem with that, but allow me to tell you something as someone responsible," Chuthulos said, his expression serious.
"What?" John asked, curious at the seriousness Chuthulos radiated, which was rarely seen.
"There is a person in the Whelshwing continent...a person with a Cosmic Rune."
John’s pupils sharply contracted. "For real?"
"What? What is a Cosmic Rune?" Azelis was puzzeled.
"Sounds like something grand and powerful," Jibril muttered.
Chuthulos continued speaking, delivering the final bit of information he had. "I have no idea about what kind of Cosmic Rune it is. I also have no idea which Cosmoverse’s gods chose that person, so we have no idea about the powers he has."
"But your cosmic rune is tailor-made by me to be suitable for this Primostria cosmos, and I am sure that such is not the case with most of the other chosen ones."
John rubbed his chin. "Do you think that person was informed by their patron god that there’s someone like me here?"
"Fortunately, no. So we are at an advantage here. However, I also can’t be sure about that. The Rune of New Beginning is not like other Cosmic Runes granted. I have literally sacrificed the originator of my Cosmoverse to make it, with much of its potential energy yet to be used. Your Rune of New Beginning is not supposed to be sensible like I did of that person, but I am not the strongest out there, so I can’t be sure."
"I see...but they can’t find the pinpoint locations, or accurately find the person who has the Cosmic Rune, right?"
"That’s correct," Chuthulos said with a nod. "In the first place, the gods of other worlds can’t really do anything. I am doing things, but that’s only in Monster Paradise as it’s not part of this cosmoverse."
"Even if chosen ones discover each other, how they proceed ahead is up to them. However..." Chuthulos narrowed his eyes. "The gods would tell their chosen ones to eliminate others, as I would."
"If you can, eliminate that person," Chuthulos said.
John grinned. "Great. Since we haven’t identified each other, things can be done better."
"Good. Now it’s up to you. All the best and good luck, brother John." Chuthulos smiled and vanished.
Jibril, Azelis, and Emperor-rank Monsters had no idea what John and Chuthulos talked about.
But it seemed important.
Azelis and Jibril both felt that it was related to why John had such unique powers.
Seeing both of them staring at him, John laughed. "Well, the plan is canceled. We are going to the Nexus City, not now but tomorrow. If we go to the Whelshwing continent’s territory now and continue with my initial plan, we could become suspicious."
"Suspicious for that person who has the so-called Cosmic Rune?" Azelis raised her eyebrows.
"Yep. I know you two are curious, but I’ll tell you about this some other time. For now, I am going to get busy, so you two also train and power up however you like. We’ll go to the Nexus city tomorrow once I have completed some tasks."
"Fine."
"Alright."
Azelis and Jibril nodded and left.
Turning back to Emperor-rank Pets, John said with a grin. "Well, things have become interesting for me. For you though, it’s time for me to make some choices for your development."
"Our development?" Duskspire Ashveil Jaguar tilted his head, curious.
"I chose Luxveil Mirage Stag and Whispthorn Windveil Crow because they are superior in potential to you four. So I am going to put you four through Monster Mutation Chamber and evolve you to a higher potential."
"Damn, that sounds cool." Mawcaster Lavahart Serpent hissed, excited. "I am aware I am weaker than my peers. I want to get stronger!"
"Me too," Gravemarch Ironcap Juggerbeast grunted. "Though I don’t think I am that weak, but I suppose I am since you said it..."
"Alright, I am putting you through it. Know that your physical features will alter, and your attributes too. But you will certainly have better skills and potential."
The four Monsters nodded.
...
John put them through the Monster Mutation Chamber one by one, using suitable Geno Points of other Monsters accordingly, and paying 400k Molding Essence, it started.
That way, even if he took these Emperor-rank Monsters and showed them outside, those who had seen Tavros’ Pet Monsters wouldn’t be able to make any connections.
After he was done with them, John gathered Alfred, Pymon, and Rexion near the garden.
It was time to evolve them.
Pymon’s evolution was fixed. He was going to become Skyrend Reaver Tyrant Roc.
As for the other two...
...
Nexus City, Lockham Family estate, meeting hall.
"Hall Master Varek has agreed that Ouroboros Hall wouldn’t interfere in whatever we do regarding Azelis."
"What about her location? And where are those two bastards?"
"Null. We can’t find any traces of Azelis. And those two have also somehow vanished into thin air."
"What the hell is going on?"
"One thing is for sure. They are not in any city. If we can’t find them, they must be hiding in one of the islands or other wilderness."
"Then all we can do is to keep our ears and eyes open. We absolutely need Azelis alive. As for those two bastards. Even if we find their dead bodies, it’s fine."
"What about the promise of handing them over for public execution?"
"Screw that promise. Ouroboros Hall can deal with that themselves."
