Chapter 114: Azelis’s Descision

John first wanted to find a way to keep Jason’s and Tavros’s Pets alive even after killing them.

He had two ways, and he planned to do both.

First, torturing them daily while giving them hope of getting out alive, and being willing to make them release the contracts of their Pet Monsters.

Second, by experimenting with their souls and learning more about this whole contract law, so he could find something to his advantage, and might even break the contracts forcefully to release Monsters since their soul power was sealed, and they wouldn’t be able to stop him no matter what operations he performed.

There wasn’t much he could do in an hour except look around and check out their souls.

Azelis arrived, so he went out of Monster Paradise to meet up.

Suddenly sensing John’s presence, she turned her head and saw him forty meters away.

"How come you suddenly appeared?" Azelis asked in confusion as she blurred and appeared before John.

"That’s a secret. But here’s the breaking news. I am no longer a member of Ouroboros Hall," John flat-out said as he indifferently smiled. "Jason and Tavros went too far and those two pieces of shit are in hell right now."

Azelis was taken aback, her eyes showing disbelief as she was unable to believe his words.

And rightfully so.

But John waved his hand as two index fingers appeared in front of Azelis.

Azelis squinted her eyes. The auras of the fingers indeed matched the auras she remembered of Jason and Tavros. The fingers had a residual aura of attributes they had mastered.

And when she confirmed that, her eyes widened, feeling shocked to the core.

Two Emperor-rank Tamers just died, he said.

"How?" Azelis stared at John. "And what the hell happened?"

John then told her everything.

After knowing the situation, fury surged in her eyes, and her fist clenched tightly. "I knew they were bloody bastards, but I didn’t think they would fall this far."

"I’m pretty sure this isn’t the worst of what they’ve done," John icily said. "But no worries anymore. They are settled in hell right now."

"Now tell me the next part," Azelis said as she blinked. "How did you escape and even manage to kill them?"

"I didn’t kill them," John shook his head. "But do you remember the Sage Kindred- fuck it. I did it. I escaped by myself and even made them vanish because I had the means to do that. I have secrets and I fucking trust you, so this is it. But I won’t say anything in detail."

John looked at her and half-bowed. "Thank you for everything, but I have a plan, and I still need your help with the plan I have."

Azelis’ mouth opened wide in shock. "No way, are you serious?"

However, she could feel John wasn’t joking at all.

John slowly nodded. "I want to ask you something. What do you want to do? What is it that you are working towards in your life?"

Azelis raised her eyebrows before they lowered, and she calmly replied. "Avenging my parents, though I haven’t even found the targets yet. But I am sure the targets are Sovereign-rank at least, so getting stronger while trying to find them is important, and it’s hard."

"I can promise you that with my help, your revenge will be a guaranteed success, and your enemies will be identified sooner than later," John said, his expression somber and severe. "I can promise you will get strong, but I need you to work with me from now on."

Azelis was silent.

She knew John wasn’t ordinary. But she thought he was extraordinary only in his talents, aptitude, and hard work.

However, it was clear that he had more up his sleeve than he let out because simply talents, aptitude, and hard work are not enough for a Silver-rank Tamer to outdo two Emperor-rank Tamers who had laid a trap and escaped.

"John, I’ve realized that I don’t know you at all." Azelis wryly smiled.

John grinned. "You’ll know everything about me if you stick around long enough. And yes, I do fulfill my promises, because I only make promises I can fulfill." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

"So, who are you? Were you really born and raised in that small kingdom in the Brimwind region? Are you really a sixteen-year-old? Which I doubt you are after everything so far, not to mention your physical appearance itself betrays your age."

In response, John waved his hand, and a fancy paper appeared with golden patterns and eldritch symbols, with some words appearing in his hand.

"This is a unique soul contract, and I need you to sign it if you believe me and want to work with me for mutual benefits."

Azelis blinked as she looked at the contract. "Interesting. What is the contract about?"

The contract flew from John’s hand to Azelis while maintaining contact with me via soul thread, as it would disappear otherwise. But as long as it existed within Monster Paradise, it would take effect.

"The contract states that you cannot reveal information about me to anyone, especially about what you see and come to learn. If you do that, all memories about everything you have learned about me and things related to me after signing this contract will disappear."

John’s expression was somber. "This is to prevent any accidents. I trust you and your character, so I know you won’t betray me, but this contract will trigger this effect in the case when someone tries to read your memories or forcefully extract the truth from you, I hope something like that doesn’t happen and I’ll try work harder and smarter to make sure that doesn’t happen."

"In short, this concerns the safety of multiple lives, and it is of utmost importance that everything remains a secret," John finished speaking, his tone severe and firm.

"You’ve had my curiosity, and my trust both," Azelis said with a smile as her thumb slightly punctured and blood dripped from it onto the paper.

"Here, I’ve signed it. So, what’s the plan?"

"First, you have to publicly resign from Ouroboros Hall," John said.

Azelis frowned. "That means I’ll have to lose my progress in Monster Geno Art. I’ll drop down to being a mortal in physical stats."

"Don’t worry. Nothing like that will happen, and for that, we will start working right now, so you can resign tomorrow publicly."

"Publicly...you want me to reveal the plan executed by Jason and Tavros to the public, right?" Azelis asked as her eyes glinted.

"That’s right," John said as he handed her a ring. "This storage ring belongs to Jason, and there are...bodies of Jibril’s parents inside, their cut-off heads."

"There are other things inside related to proof alongside a small blue crystal, which can project out the multiple conversations Jason and Tavros had regarding this, including what they said to us after imprisoning us. I’ve extracted their memories with a special means to make this."

Azelis was surprised. "You are prepared...with your strange means."

"Yes, I have extraordinary means. All the proof is inside the ring, which is a valid reason for you to resign since your dear first apprentice was targeted," John cheekily said.

"Alright, so how will you solve the problem of my Monster Geno Art?"

"For that...I will show you the true method of practicing Monster Geno Art, and then we will have to figure out how to keep your progress so far."

"Figure out? So you don’t know yet?" Azelis wryly smiled.

"No, but I am sure we will figure it out. You’ll see why I am confident after seeing this true way of practicing Monster Geno Art. And yeah, you’ll get a way better Monster Geno Art than the one you already have."

John smiled and stretched his hand. "Now, are you ready for one of the extraordinary means I have?"

Azelis blinked, curiosity overwhelming her because everything that had happened didn’t make sense to her. She couldn’t find a logical answer as to how John could do all of that.

"Well then, let me see."

Azelis put her hand on his and in the next moment, both of them vanished.

Azelis saw the scenery changing as she arrived in a place with floating chandeliers and a regal hall with decorations, vases, and beautiful paintings of nature, and John’s Pet Monsters, including the Gold-rank ones who weren’t contracted with me.

"T-This...what’s going on?" Azelis was dumbfounded.

"This is my small castle’s hall. But for now..." John snapped his finger as he and Azelis disappeared and arrived in front of two prison cells.

Azelis’s eyes widened. "They are still alive."

"And where are we?" Azelis asked as she looked around, utterly shocked.
