Oops, I'm a Monster with a Too Long Prefix!-Chapter 31: Bloodline Fusion
Chapter 31 - 31: Bloodline Fusion
Two beams of golden light shot up beneath Isaac's feet in quick succession.
The first thing to change—his name.
"Elite Special Sturdy Special Agile Special Robust Hyenaman" now had a prefix added to it:
Elite's.
And the font? Bright green.
"Wait, what? Shouldn't I get an actual name by now? Why's my title just getting longer and greener?" Isaac grumbled. "Now I just look like a damn glow stick with a resume for a name!"
Apparently, even within Elite status, there were tiers—and he still didn't qualify for a proper name. Whatever. An ID's an ID. Isaac shook off the annoyance and pulled up his status panel.
[Character: Isaac]

Monster Reputation: 38

With this evolution to Elite, Isaac's base stats had spiked by another 50%, and it showed—across the board.
"Over 100 attack, over 1,500 health. And that crit chance... almost 20%?" He whistled. "This is getting ridiculous."
"Still got Star 3 Quality to max out... time to keep grinding."
Eighty more Quality Points wouldn't take long at this rate. He could even trade surplus materials for Reputation. Efficient and profitable.
"Alright boys," Isaac smirked. "Looks like we're setting up shop in this forest for a while. Red Team, dig in—we're in for the long haul."
...
By 5 PM, just outside the boundary stone of Venommist Forest, another golden glow lit up the grass.
Isaac had now fully maxed his Star 3 Quality and hit Level 11 in the process.
He looked up at his character name and nearly facepalmed.
Elite's Special Sturdy Special Agile Special Robust Hyenaman Commander Scarface Karl (Level 11)
His system-generated title was now so absurdly long that it barely fit above his head—and still glowing green.
"...Ugh. Alright, I need that next evolution ASAP."
He opened his panel again.
[Quality: Star 3 – Maxed | Next: Star 4 (0 / 160 Points)]
Level: 11 (31,142 / 200,000 XP)
Stats:
– Strength: 76 (70 +6)
– Agility: 78 (70 +8)
– Constitution: 76 (70 +6)
– Spirit Power: 4
Attack:
– Physical: 114–124
– Poison: +10
Defense:
– Physical: 66 (35 +31)
– HP: 2,230 (2,000 +230)
Talent:
– Inferior/Hyena Bloodline (Tier 3): 19% double damage on basic attacks
Spirit Core: 13 / 400
Yeah, this was what a proper grind should look like.
Out of curiosity, Isaac checked the official forums for baseline stats of Level 11 players. The comparison was brutal.
Base stats for players at Level 11?
– Strength: 20
– Attack: 44
– HP: 1,000
Even if they had similar gear, Isaac's raw stats blew them out of the water.
"The higher the level, the bigger the gap," Isaac muttered, both impressed and smug.
"Alright. Time to check out the Bloodlines."
He opened the Reputation Shop and noticed a new entry under Skins:
Forest Venomspider – 1,000 Reputation
"Tempting to cosplay as a spider," Isaac chuckled. But that price tag... nope. Not worth it for a look.
Function first, fashion later. If anything, Bloodline fusion was the main course.
In the Bloodline tab, the Forest Venomspider Bloodline was now unlocked.
[Forest Venomspider Bloodline – Unlocked]
Condition: Kill 1,000 Forest Venomspiders (Completed)
Grants Talent: Inferior/Venomspider Bloodline – Basic attacks deal poison damage based on a percentage of your max HP; boosts movement speed.
"Poison damage based on max HP and movement speed boost?" Isaac's eyes lit up. "No wonder those spiders were so damn fast."
No brainer.
Isaac dropped 1,000 Reputation and snagged it. Immediately, a new Talent appeared on his sheet.
[Inferior/Venomspider Bloodline (Tier 0) – Basic attacks deal poison equal to 1% of max HP (20 damage) over 5s; Movement speed +10%.]
Not bad. But Tier 0 wasn't enough.
With tons of low-tier materials and 150 Tier 3 Talent Shards on hand, he instantly upgraded it to Tier 3.
[Inferior/Venomspider Bloodline (Tier 3) – Basic attacks deal poison equal to 2.5% of max HP (50 damage) over 5s; Movement speed +19%.]
"Fifty poison damage just from my base HP? That's on top of the fang's 10! Sixty poison damage per hit—holy hell."
Given how few players had any poison resistance yet, that meant two hits would drop most of them dead.
"And with +19% movement speed... I should be flying right now."
He took a few steps and frowned. "Why do I feel the same?"
Right then, a new system prompt popped up:
[Bloodline fused. Your appearance has changed. Purchase skin to manually toggle appearance.]
"...Wait, what changed?"
Just as he asked, a creeping sensation hit him. From both sides of his torso, something extended—
Eight, long, jet-black spider legs slowly unfolded from his body.
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
Isaac looked down in horror as the eight spindly limbs lifted his body off the ground. He was floating, legs dangling, supported by giant arachnid appendages.
"Dear god. I've become a freakin' spider centaur!"
It took a minute, but he eventually calmed down.
He used to dream of having long, powerful legs like a real action hero.
Now he had eight of them.
Plus his original two stubby Hyenaman legs.
He was officially a ten-legged nightmare.
And movement? Oh yeah, he was fast now.
Freakishly fast.
"Welp... guess I'm a full-blown monster now." Isaac sighed.
