Chapter 41 - Check-In Reward in Fish-Man Island

"System... CHECK IN."

A soft chime echoed in his mind, followed by a calm, synthetic voice — digital yet deeply integrated into his being.

"A beautiful pearlescent conch imbued with deep sea magic. When a mermaid whispers into it, she is enveloped in radiant light and granted temporary human legs, enabling movement on land."

Jessie blinked, momentarily surprised.

Then he grinned.

"Ohhh... interesting." He muttered aloud, tapping his chin. "Wait... are all these tailored for Shirahoshi?"

He stared out into the sea. The Mermaid Shell Transmuter was particularly obvious. It practically screamed 'Shirahoshi use me!'.

"System..." he narrowed his eyes with a half-smirk. "Is this some kind of favoritism?"

Silence.

Jessie rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Tch. Thought so."

He inspected the D.F. Extractor Props, now appearing in his inventory space, dangerous, and extremely valuable — the tool shimmered ominously with a faint red glow at its core.

"If I had this earlier," Jessie whispered, "I would've let Meruem use it on that Holy Knight he took down in the Sambaody..."

He paused — a flicker of regret in his voice. The Holy Knight's Devil Fruit power was likely lost now, reincarnated somewhere unknown. But regret had no place in a pirate's heart for long.

"Forget it," he said. "We'll use it when if i found annoying pirates or world government puppet."

He shifted to the Shrinky Flash Light, giving it a playful spin. It fit perfectly in his hand, and looked more like a toy than a serious weapon.

"I wonder," he said, pointing it at a stray rock on the dock,

The rock shrank down to the size of a coin.

Jessie burst out laughing. "Imagine ordering a small pizza and blasting it into a mega-size feast. That's Voidreign innovation right there!"

Finally, he lifted the Mermaid Shell Transmuter. It gleamed like moonlight captured in a spiral — elegant, fragile, but humming with potential. His tone grew more thoughtful.

"This one... if King Neptune says yes, it'll be perfect for Shirahoshi. She'll walk the land beside us without fear."

But if the king said no... Jessie wouldn't press. Not too hard anyway.

"And if not..." he said quietly, tucking the shell away, "I'll find another mermaid. Someone who can wield this gift without hesitation."

Because the seas were vast, and the Voidreign crew was still growing.

Jessie walked back aboard the ship. The deck was quiet — most of the crew had wandered off again to enjoy the sights and culture of Fish-Man Island.

Only Blackeye the panda remained, munching on a piece of bamboo while watching Jessie with mild curiosity.

Jessie stood in front of the deck, eyes focused, heart calm.

He turned and looked toward the direction of King Neptune's palace.

Seven days remained before they'd leave Fish-Man Island.
