Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: The Fully Equipped Hell Pirates

After loading Charlotte Linlin's belongings onto the Golden Ark, Streusen followed suit, stepping onto the opulent ship. What kind of pirate crew had he just joined?

Was this a dream? He pinched his cheek to make sure. Just not long ago, his mid-sized pirate crew had been wiped out, and he had barely escaped with his life. Yet, in the blink of an eye, he had somehow ended up joining this terrifying yet luxurious crew.

Had he struck gold? Even as a newcomer, he had been given a private room. Was this piracy or a luxury cruise?

Back in his old crew, he had been crammed into a tiny, stinking cabin with several other pirates, often going months without a proper bath. Now, as he stood in his grand new quarters, he spotted golden decorations gleaming around him.

This kind of crew—he would never have imagined encountering one in his wildest dreams. Without hesitation, he vowed to stay forever. Carefully, Streusen picked up a golden vase, hugging it tightly. He even bit it lightly to check—real gold!

"Party time! Party time!"

At Brook's energetic call, Streusen immediately dashed out of his room. As the ship's cook, how could he miss out on preparing the feast?

Stepping onto the deck, he was stunned to see Brook and Antonio already carrying out exquisite dishes, some of which even he had never seen before. The sight made his fingers itch with anticipation.

"Today, we welcome two new crewmates to the Hell Pirates! Our crew is nearly complete. From here on out, we embark on an endless adventure, growing stronger and facing any enemy without fear!"

Brook raised his glass, leading the crew in celebration. He was exhilarated—his crew now boasted three Emperor-level members. With such powerful comrades, he had to keep improving himself, at the very least to keep up, or even surpass them!

"Hell Pirates, the strongest!"

Shakky led the cheer, prompting everyone to raise their glasses in unison.

"In this joyous moment, let's reintroduce ourselves and reaffirm our dreams together!"

"Yeah!!!"

The crew roared with enthusiasm, their excitement palpable.

"I'll go first! I'm Shakky, the Hell Pirates' navigator. My dream? Well, if I were to brag, it'd be to become the world's greatest navigator. But in reality, my goal is to find that Devil Fruit the captain spoke of and become a warrior who doesn't drag the crew down."

Shakky grinned confidently, speaking without a hint of hesitation.

"My name is Fisher Tiger. I'm currently a trainee, and my dream is to take down the Celestial Dragons, awaken my Conqueror's Haki, and become an invincible warrior!"

No one mocked his ambition. Even if it seemed impossible, at least he dared to say it aloud. But Streusen was stunned. Declaring war on the Celestial Dragons so openly? Was this crew insane?

"I'm Silva. The ship's sniper. My dream is to become the world's greatest marksman, mastering both sniper rifles and handguns!"

Silva was single-minded in his passion for firearms, constantly tinkering with strange and innovative weapons.

"Hahaha, I'm Tom, the shipwright and helmsman. My dream is to build a sea train for Water 7 and bring prosperity to all islands!"

The Fish-Man's bold declaration showed that, while he might not be able to build it right now, he was determined to make it happen.

"Crocus. Ship doctor. My dream? To cure any disease."

Crocus had set sail to see the world, learn various medical techniques, and expand his knowledge.

"I was the captain's first recruit. The name's Antonio, Hell Pirates' intelligence officer. My dream is to uncover every enemy's secrets for our captain!"

Antonio wasn't the strongest, but he took every opportunity to remind the crew that he was Brook's first mate. Was it too much to ask for a little more respect?

"Gurararara~ I'm Edward Newgate. The captain has me down as a combatant. My dream is to have a big family!"

Newgate took a swig of his drink, smiling. The knowledge Brook had shared with him, along with Redfield's Haki training, had truly moved him.

"I'm Streusen. From now on, I'll be your cook. Please take care of me!"

Still feeling a little out of place, Streusen kept his introduction brief.

"I'm Charlotte Linlin! A combatant! I want to eat lots and lots of sweets and create a nation where all races can live together in peace!"

Linlin happily stuffed a cake into her mouth, beaming at the thought of the endless banquets to come.

"I am Redfield. Combatant. My goal is to kill the Celestial Dragons and overthrow the World Government!"

Redfield's words made Streusen's jaw drop. He had lost some of his memories, so he hadn't realized Redfield had already killed a Celestial Dragon. Now, he was seriously reconsidering whether he should sneak off the ship.

This crew was insane. They were basically terrorists! Why did it feel like half of them were hellbent on taking down the Celestial Dragons?

"Hahahaha! Great! We'll help each other achieve our dreams! And as captain, my dream is to lead us all to the very top!"

Brook raised his glass high, his excitement infectious. His perfect team was finally coming together. After another period of training, they might just be able to challenge the strongest pirate crews.

Would the Rocks Pirates still be able to dominate the New World in this era?

With the Hell Pirates rising, Roger's crew mastering Haki ahead of schedule, and the Flying Pirates refusing to merge with the Rocks Pirates, the landscape was shifting.

With monsters like Newgate and Linlin not joining the Rocks Pirates, could Rocks still unify the New World?

"The Hell Pirates will become the most powerful crew in the world! Let's go!!!"

Looking at their formidable lineup, Shakky felt a surge of confidence. The captain's recruits were all extraordinary. It was as if he had an uncanny ability to foresee greatness.

With control over the World Economy News Paper's intelligence network, who knew how many more young powerhouses their captain would bring aboard?

The future was bright.

...

Meanwhile, on a remote island—

Golden Lion Shiki cursed under his breath as he and Skaredo fled at full speed, abandoning their ship and supplies.

Just when they had started recruiting new crew members, they had seen Rocks' latest bounty poster. Not only had it made recruitment impossible, but they had also been ambushed by other pirates. After defeating their attackers, they had stolen their ship and taken to the skies.

But just as they were escaping, they encountered a Marine fleet. Normally, Shiki wouldn't have cared, planning to simply fly over them.

Yet, to his horror, a massive black-winged figure emerged from one of the Marine warships and obliterated his stolen vessel in an instant.

Upon recognizing the insignia on the Marine's uniform, Shiki grabbed Skaredo and fled without a second thought.

"I thought we had run into the Hell Pirates, but turns out it's just the remnants of the defeated Flying Pirates!"

Admiral Shirokiri did not pursue Shiki. His priority was completing the Celestial Dragons' mission.
