Nexus Awakened (An Isekai LitRPG Gender Bender Story)-Chapter 957. S.Chapter E.N.T.E.D Thoughts
A Monsoon Level Corrupted posed zero risk against the likes of Frost and Jury.
Extrapolate this to Colors, and you had a fairly straightforward fight. Of course, it wouldn’t be easy even for a Color to take down a Monsoon Corrupted, but the success rate would still be at around 90%.
That success rate plummeted to zero once normal people were involved.
There were approximately two hundred and fifty Adventurers registered with the Guild who could take on a Monsoon-Leveled threat. This included those of the Diamond Rank and the Radiant Rank.
Of these, only eighty accounted for those who could take on White Monsoon Corrupted. Though, this did not take into account the Blessed Population which increased these numbers.
It wasn’t by much, however.
The reason why this came to Frost’s mind was because of a certain Corrupted child.
“Jury. I’m not up there. It’s your job to take care of Joy!”
Joy was only level 70. At best, she’d pass as a medium-level Hailstorm Corrupted. When put against the giants that were Monsoon Corrupted, then death was all but certain.
Thankfully, she had multiple layers of defenses applied over her, giving Frost some peace of mind as she targeted the Site’s defensive systems.
And finally, she received the Conditions of this Corrupted.
< CONDITION: S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts cannot be damaged while under the Suppressed Hunger Condition. When S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts gains Carnivorous Craving, it becomes susceptible to Critical Strikes >
< ADDITIONAL CONDITION: S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts is vulnerable when Miraculous Sparks reaches 100 on self >
< SUPPRESSION REQUIREMENT: When S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts’ HP reaches 0 while Carnivorous Craving is active, apply Regret Stacks and Suppress the Corrupted. When Regret Stacks deplete, S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts may reemerge at a later time. Become Invulnerable. S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts is automatically Suppressed when the Brightlight Pollinator’s HP reaches 0 >
< SUBJUGATION REQUIREMENT: S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts is Subjugated when its HP reaches 0 when Miraculous Spark stacks reaches 100 on self >
< “A million bees with billions of flowers to pollinate.” >
< “I stayed still like the flowers. But steel petals are perpetual.” >
It was one of the more complex Corrupted with a mechanism that fell in the same vein as Lull-A-Goodbye. This mechanism gave it multiple states depending on how one approached the battle.
However, Frost’s initial plan to see how things would play out in each stage was thwarted by the Suppression Requirement.
“If I suppress it, then there’s no telling how long it’ll be until it returns. We can’t prolong our stay here either.”
While information was important, losing this Corrupted to a gimmick caused her to bolster her offensive, laying waste to the infinitely replicating weapons that dared to target her.
“Nav, has Lailah said anything about the Corrupted!?”
Frost cried, keenly watching the many child-sized ‘bees’.
These adorable creatures were aspects of the Captured Star. They floated around and threw magic powder at various props with smiles on their faces. The magical particles caused them to emit a faint glowing halo before they suddenly transformed into real objects.
[Analyze Skill].

Trees, shrubs, fences, even animals were born when Miraculous Sparks were thrown in their direction. These props: the Imagination: barely had any HP nor could attack at all for that matter.
Neither did the Brightlight Pollinator. Surprisingly, only one of the many bees were called the Brightlight Pollinator. The others were no more than backstage actors who filled in the negative space.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
They merely served as a shield against the incoming barrage of bullets and acidic darts.
“[Protection Ward]! [Starlight Barrier]!” Frost applied two layers of defenses around this tiny entity.
The tiny child of light had no discernable facial features, aside from the indents that were clearly its eyes and mouth. It smiled upon seeing Frost. Tiny hands reached into a golden pouch in the center of her chest where she clasped a handful of golden dust.
< “I asked her what they must have smelt like. The bouquets you brought to me were beautiful. But seeing is not experiencing.” >
She then threw it upon Frost with a giddy expression before flying off to the closest prop.
< You have gained 10 Stacks of Miraculous Sparks >
Miraculous Sparks
< A gift from a giving star >
< EFFECT: Decrease mana consumption of all Skills by 10%. At 100 Stacks, all mana-based Skills may be used freely for the next 24 hours. When applied to Imagination, transform them into Scented Reality >
It was an insane boost that would allow a weaker challenger to turn the tide against the Corrupted.
“No wonder its AGI is 40. Normal people wouldn’t be able to catch it in the first place. But it has to stop at the Imagination to pollinate them.”
Frost used the time she had to gain several Miraculous Spakes. She treated the fight like a sandbox game where she had admin powers enabled. The only difference is that she couldn’t allow the little bee to perish.
Still, those weapons could barely damage her [Protection Ward] in the first place. She only needed to periodically reapply it.
However, there was one cannon she had to watch out for.
“You don’t see magical weapons being used a lot outside of firearms. At least not from what I’ve seen.” Frost said as she erected a [Starlight Barrier] to block an incoming barrage of magical bolts. “Then again, I’ve never been a part of a traditional war before!”
[Protection Ward] had a fatal flaw. It was that it could not block attacks that bypassed pace. The bolts of bright blue magic soared through the air, disappearing and reappearing into existence.
These were called Diver Spells, which was a trait usually given to magical artillery to puncture through barriers. The name came from how they mimicked the movement of a dolphin diving and leaping out of the sea as it soared through the air.
This type of magic was why there were Kingdoms or armies who opted to use multiple barriers to circumvent this type of attack, as well as why the walls of monarchs were built as thick as they were.
As a result, destroying these became her top priority.
< “Is it possible to attain what we were not born with?” >
< “Even machines start as a thought.” >
< “Are we just seedlings needing to be germinated?” >
Finally, the second attack of the S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts arrived.
< [D-Scent] >
< Reap in what has been pollinated >
< EFFECT: Eliminate Scented Realities. Deal 1 Damage to the Brightlight Pollinator per each eliminated >

“Now I gotta defend these ones too!?” Frost exclaimed. “Would be easier if this Site didn’t get itself involved at all! But why is it also targeting the Brightlight Pollinator instead of just targeting me!?”
Those magical barrages were solely directed to the Brightlight Pollinator.
< In an effort to keep the play running for as long as possible >
“… I don’t understand. There’s nothing to gain from doing this. Unless this is another method to gain Nex?”
< Unlikely. Once Suppressed, a Corrupted does not generate Nex until it returns to its active state >
“So it’s another rendition of an Old Lailah that can’t let go of the past!?” Frost roared. “It’d be faster to just destroy the Imaginations to keep the Corrupted off the Brightlight Pollinator. Nav, if Lailah hasn’t found anything yet: then I want to know something from you. Is it possible to Subjugate a Suppressed Corrupted!?”
< Yes, unless the Condition explicitly states otherwise. Suppressing a Corrupted enables ARU members to safely transport Corrupted as well as allow Moons to open up weaknesses. But in this instance, it may be impossible >
< But Conditions shouldn’t be an issue for Beholders >
< Let alone you >
Corrupted beneath Woe of the Fallen Star had their Conditions nullified when in the presence of a Beholder. This was due to them possessing a Corrupted Zone of their own that mitigated the effects of the Corrupted that would otherwise be in place.
Frost did not explicitly have a Skill that allowed her to bypass these.
What she did have was an innate ability.
Absolution: a power that defied the Conditions.
This chapt𝒆r is updated by frёewebηovel.cѳm.
Therefore, in the event that this Corrupted became invulnerable, she would be able eliminate it regardless of what the Condition stated. During her train of thought, she showered the stage with bloody bullets, destroying as many Imaginations as possible, much to the horror of the Brightlight Pollinator.
Just then, the S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts drew its brambles into its flower-shaped body. Then, its petals began to churn as it reared its head back as if charging an attack.
< [A-Scent] >
< A tale for you. Always for you. If I help you ascend, then can you help me experience the scents of the flowers around us? >
< EFFECT: Uncontestable. Unavoidable. Summon 20 Imaginations. Deal 30 damage to the Brightlight Pollinator >
A smirk appeared on Frost’s face suddenly. Her eyes began to glow a bright golden color as she slammed her boots into the stage to ground herself, splitting it open.
A faint, golden aura encased her right fist.
Then, an iridescent light appeared on her head.
It was in the shape of a broken halo.
//////// < ALERT > ////////

Her intentions were clear.
Jury knew what was coming even before Frost could verbally warn them. At once, she turned her back to Frost and covered Joy’s eyes as she shouted something to the others. Immediately, Morgause and Horus took cover.
A grey clump of steel suddenly spat out at Frost by the S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts. Within that five-meter clump was an orb containing a kaleidoscope of colors.
It was headed straight for the Brightlight Pollinator.
The words ‘uncontestable’ and ‘unavoidable’ made her laugh.
“Let’s test the limits of Absolution then!”
Floorboards of the stage did not tear off. Rather, they disintegrated as the air around her compressed in the fraction of a second. A superheated shockwave annihilated the weapons around the chamber simultaneously in a spectacular fashion.
The glass did not even shatter. It disintegrated into shards so fine that it seemingly disappeared from reality.
Had it not been for her [Protection Ward] and [Starlight Barrier], then the Brightlight Pollinator would have ceased to exist. Dozens of bees were flung to the very edge of the stage, with the exception of the Brightlight Pollinator who was wrapped by Frost’s tail.
The materials that were designed to contain the Corrupted crumbled under the force of what was barely a fraction of a Beholder’s might. The stage collapsed faster than it could feasibly repair itself, and the Site itself quaked.
The shockwave had reached the deepest recesses of the Site. Cables, pipes, and a torrent of Liquid Nex spilled into the cavity.
And despite all this, her fist had not even clashed with the Corrupted’s attack.
She drove her fist into the clump of metal, crushing the vibrant core in a display of indomitable might.
“Monsoon-Level Corrupted used to give me trouble. Conditions were troublesome since we had to plan around them. But look at them now.”
Frost murmured, clasping hand into a fist as she stared at the unmoving body of the S.C.E.N.T.E.D Thoughts.
“They’re completely at my mercy. Go on. Show me more of how this story is supposed to play out.”
< … Lailah is ready to begin >
< Do try to limit yourself if possible. Relax. This is only a Monsoon Corrupted >
“Sorry, but I’m not letting this one die just yet.” Frost reapplied her [Protection Ward] on the Brightlight Pollinator, and then, she finally received two notable Observations.
