Chapter 93 -93 Feeding Porridge (1)_1

As soon as Jing Haohao’s voice stopped, respectful greetings could be heard from the doorway, “Mr. Chen.”

Jing Haohao turned instinctively, seeing Liang Chen standing upright at the doorway of the bedroom. He didn’t make a sound or nod at the greeting gestures of the busy servants in the room. His pair of deep, glossy-black eyes were fixed straight on Jing Haohao.

Having only recently recovered from a serious illness, she appeared more fragile than usual. Her originally small face looked even thinner now, pale without color, accentuating her large bright eyes which seemed even bigger and brighter.

Her gaze fell on him for a brief moment, shock emanating from her eyes at first, then turning into a sense of cold apathy. She gradually closed her eyes as if she didn’t want to see him at all.

Liang Chen stood at the doorway for a moment, then moved slowly into the room, stopping by the bed and sitting down.

Jing Haohao was acutely aware of Liang Chen standing by her right hand. Her heart tensed instantly. She thought her death would spare her from facing him ever again, yet the first person she saw upon waking was him. She truly didn’t want to see him, causing her to close her eyes even tighter.

Liang Chen stared at Jing Haohao’s face for a while, before pointing at the bowl of porridge a servant was holding and saying, “Give it to me. I’ll feed her.”

The servant immediately handed it over with both hands.

Chen took the bowl with one hand, and stirred the porridge with a spoon with the other, letting it cool somewhat before nudging the still-closed-eyes Jing Haohao, saying, “Have some porridge before you sleep.”

Jing Haohao didn’t respond, keeping her eyes shut pretending to sleep.

“Haohao, if you carry on like this I’ll get angry.” Liang Chen’s voice was very calm, but a hint of danger was concealed within it.

As if she hadn’t heard Liang Chen’s words, Jing Haohao still didn’t open her eyes.

Liang Chen’s face slowly darkened. The servant observing this scene didn’t dare to utter a sound, thinking he would lose his temper.

However, just when the servants assumed that Chen was about to lose his temper, the man was silent for a while before he placed the bowl on a table nearby. Turning around, he directly lifted Jing Haohao from the bed, supporting her back with one arm and said, “Haohao, don’t you want your phone? I have it here. If you promise to take good care of yourself and eat on time, I’ll give your phone back to you.”

The servants, who initially thought that Chen would throw the bowl in anger, were stunned by the scene.

Their respected Mr. Chen, far from being angry, was even negotiating terms with Miss Jing just to let her have her porridge.

Despite Mr. Chen’s domineering tone, on this planet, there was no one else who could make Mr. Chen lose his dignity and still patiently coax, apart from Miss Jing.
