Jing Haohao stared at the large pillar of an overpass in front of her, her eyes growing stern. Then, in the next second, she fiercely stepped on the accelerator, driving with a sense of desperation toward that pillar, smashing into it.
Here in Jiangshan City, Liang Chen had the power to cause a shift in the landscape at whim. She could never resist him, even if she actually made it to the capital city, he could still control everything effortlessly.

With this thought in mind, Jing Haohao ruthlessly pushed the accelerator to the floor. The car was moving at an extreme speed, like a released arrow. In just a blink of an eye, before anyone around had a chance to react, Jing Haohao’s car brutally collided with the massive overpass pillar.
A loud “crash” echoed, causing the surrounding people and vehicles to come to a halt.
Everyone turned around to see a red BMW, the front bumper shattered and the car’s front caved in, with smoke billowing out.
Within five minutes, police and ambulance sirens could be heard from the distance.

As Liang Chen was grooming, he was a little frustrated thinking that he was almost about to tell her. Even if he didn’t force her to break up, she would eventually end things with Shen Liangnian because Shen Liangnian had already found another woman. But out of nowhere, he remembered the conviction in Jing Haohao’s eyes, as if she believed in their undying and unchanging relationship.
For some reason, he just couldn’t bring himself to tell her.
After learning about Shen Liangnian’s affair with Qiao Wennuan, Jing Haohao must be devastated.

As grumblings surfaced in Liang Chen’s heart, Jing Haohao’s tear-streaked beautiful and clean face appeared in his mind’s eye.
For reasons unknown, Liang Chen’s heart tightened. As he rinsed his mouth, he vigorously shook his head to dispel this unaccustomed feeling of heartache.
How bizarre. Recently, he had been experiencing sporadic chest pains. Could it be that he had developed some sort of heart condition?
It seemed he really should find some time to get it checked at the hospital.
More grumblings formed in Liang Chen’s heart as he wiped his hands dry. He then thought of Jing Haohao’s reluctant agreement to break up with Shen Liangnian, her voice as if she were unfairly wronged.
Was it really that big of a deal to just break up? Her sorrowful tone made it seem like he was the one bullying her!
Liang Chen forcefully tossed his towel onto a rack, then adjusted his tie in the mirror. After leaving the bathroom, he picked up his phone and car keys and promptly left his house.
“Mr. Chen, would you like some lunch?”
Liang Chen considered the meeting he had later on, and thought he’d grab something at his office, so he casually waved his hand and said, “Is the car ready?”
“It’s ready.”
Without a word, Liang Chen pushed open the door and left the house.
The driver was already waiting outside, dutifully opening the car door for him. Liang Chen bent down and slipped into the car, which then quietly pulled out of the villa.
Reclining in the back seat with half-closed eyes, Liang Chen listened to a financial news show on the radio. Halfway through, his cell phone suddenly rang.
