Chapter 43 - Family

Elian couldn't believe his eyes. The Fluffy he KOed with a slap was gone. In her place was a divine beast that would scare the crap out of anyone who saw it.

Without warning, Fluffy vanished then reappeared near one of the enemy Alphas. The one she called Hollow. She practically moved like lightning and only appeared like a blur. Her target couldn't even react before she lunged for Hollow's throat.

Fluffy tore through the flesh between Hollow's neck and shoulders. A violent surge of blood splurged all around his corpse. But his murderer already vanished. She once again reappeared tearing off the front paw of another Alpha.

"Arck!!" the 10-meter Snow Wolf cried in pain, but leapt away on reflex. Immediately a flurry of icicle stakes stabbed in the place he was in.

"Too hasty, Fluffy. Fighting with magic is like beats in a waltz. You do not add steps just because you want to. You add them to smoothen the rhythm."

"Yes, Master."

Frost energy radiated from Fluffy, her dangerous use of superior agility, strength, and ice guaranteed that everyone against her would die sooner or later.

Bianca was even teaching her. She was quite diligent.

Elian once again marveled at how powerful his master was. As he did not see her HP draining, the burden must have been shouldered by Fluffy. Meanwhile compared to how elegant Fluffy fought, his wolf automatons were pathetic.

Although they were intimidating, they fell over when they ran. Despite Elian trying to control them manually, moving on four legs instead of two was difficult. The Snow Wolf army ganged up on his automatons and pelted them with icicles.

Many leapt up on the wolf golems and tried to bite them apart. Elian chuckled when they did as their jaws were not strong enough. Even though his wolves were pathetically on the ground, they still bashed and kicked those that fought them.

Sigh. It sounded good on paper, but they are useless if I cannot even move them.

Just then, the floor vibrated chaotically—an enormous cliff of ice erupted from nowhere! Fluffy and Bianca were racing up the slope at breakneck speed.

"Just what are they doing?"

The boy tried to follow their route and saw an Alpha running away. But the distance was beyond what Fluffy could reach from jumping, which made Elian confused. That is until he heard their words.

"Master. Why did you waste all the moisture to create this platform? I can't fly! And Third is getting away!"

"Alone you can't. But there is someone who you can trust to do the impossible. Even things that make no sense," Bianca cheered as they leapt off the cliff.

"AHHH, MASTER! WHAT ARE YOU D...."

This slave driver.

Yet, despite his complaints, Elian found himself grinning. Fluffy and Bianca had less than five seconds till gravity pulled them down. That was unless he did anything to stop it.

Think...slingshot? No, not enough power. Air Shotgun? No, Fluffy would turn to paste. Bridge? Not enough material. Hmm, all I need is to give her something to ride. Something that can fly... I got it.

Elian quickly turned the automatons into snakes and had them devour the wolf army. Immediately after, he stabbed his arm into the ground and injected Living Metal into the earth like a syringe. A large portion of the ground was shot up suspended in black liquid.

4

At the same moment, the excess Living Metal on the ground melded together to form a black humanoid over twenty meters tall. Elian tossed the piece of land he created. He then closed his eyes. His consciousness shifted and possessed the giant he just created.

3

Ugh, I feel like crap. There is a delay between thought and movement but I don't have much of a choice!

Elian tucked the earth like a disk into the giant's body and spun around like a discus thrower. Loud gongs resounded as the Living Metal giant gained speed.

2

When he gained enough momentum Elian let loose. The makeshift frisbee shot out towards Bianca. The Living Metal bound the earth so that it would not shatter from the rotations and steered the platform as it spun.

1

It barely made it in time for Fluffy to land on it.

"Wha?"

"Fluffy, try not to get dizzy, we are going for a ride."

Living Metal on the platform quickly wrapped around Fluffy's possessed form and secured her to the flying piece of earth. A dazzling smile broke across Bianca's face when she felt the black, warm metal gingerly secured her.

"As expected of my Weapon."

Elian would've made a sarcastic comment—if his thoughts weren't in total chaos. He had no brain power remaining to humor his master. Between the metal bringing Fluffy to Third, fighting the wolves with snakes and the giant collapsing under its own weight...

I think I am going to be sick!

Yet despite feeling like a nail was being hammered into his temple, he continued to command the battlefield. The Snow Wolves who never stood a chance against the snakes were already being torn apart. Thus, the only one remaining was the last Alpha on the run.

Shifting his consciousness Elian saw the moment the improvised frisbee crashed ahead of the running Alpha. The metallic seatbelts wrapped around Bianca and Fluffy like armor as they got off. They raced towards Third in a blur.

"H-How? Mercy!" begged the Alpha.

But Fluffy made no reply and simply dashed towards him. The two Alphas launched icicles at one another as they shortened the distance. Fluffy's attacks shattered Third's projectiles. Their bodies collided. Fluffy lunged and bit down hard on her opponent's neck.

Without remorse, she shook her head attempting to rip apart the flesh she clamped down on. Blood splattered. Third froze the ground, which caused Fluffy to slip. Yet when he was about to go for her throat, a blob of living metal bound around his mouth like a gag.

"HMPHHHH!"

His claws all fell out of his paws as if someone cut them off piece by piece. Elian could see the horror in Third's eyes when he saw what was coming. Even as his neck spurted out blood, he could do nothing to defend himself.

You should be glad—I haven't ripped apart your insides. Fluffy's punishment is tame compared to mine.

And then at that moment, Fluffy's body shone, and Bianca left her. Rapidly devolving, her body lost its horns and tail. But that didn't stop the Snow Wolf Alpha from body slamming her opponent.

Like a rabid animal, Fluffy slammed Third to the earth and tore his face off. There was no mercy, no honor, only death. And when she finally finished, Fluffy stood proudly and howled to the skies. Unlike before it wasn't out of sadness but bloodlust.

Only there was no longer anyone from Fralhame to hear it.

Her clean white mane now looked terrifying as streaks of crimson crusted on it. Many would flee just from seeing Fluffy. Yet the two people with her were smiling. One was a tiny toddler-sized black knight, the other a smug spirit with immense beauty.

"Well done, Elian. I see you can now shift your mind between bodies."

"You too, Bianca. I hope Possession doesn't use any HP."

"Fufu, such a worrywart. No, my weapon it does not. The burden is paid by the host."

"Oh, then can you do it with me?"

Bianca's eyes widened. She looked away while her face flushed.

"I would rather not," she said in a low murmur.

"Huh? Why not? I am sure we can kick more butt if you did it with me."

"Uhm..."

The toddler Elian began hounding Bianca who refused to make eye contact. Eventually his body was pulled up by his neck.

"Sir Elian, you must learn to not pry into a lady's affairs."

Dangling from her mouth, Elian changed topics and checked on his ally, "Oh? You done, Fluffy?"

"Yes, thank you so much for your help."

"You're welcome." Elian's voice softened as he shrugged. "We are family now, so we have to stick together."

"Family?" Fluffy asked in surprise.

"Yep. What else do you call us?"

Fluffy and Bianca froze for a moment, but neither could make an argument. But Elian could see both of them smiling despite the battle that just occurred.

"I see. Family. It's been so long, I might no longer be experienced with it." The wolf replied.

The tiny knight smiled as he crossed his arms, "That is fine. No one is born a master. But everyone can learn. Right, Bianca?"

Elian turned his head and saw his master gazing at him with a smile. She beamed, then gave an energetic nod. "Yes! Please be patient with me, Elian, Fluffy."
