My Love Debts Are Everywhere!-Chapter 614: The War with the Dark Elves begins! - Part 1
Upon hearing that voice, Zelda's expression instantly turned serious.
"What's the situation there, Leyna? Are you in a favorable position?" she asked cautiously.
"Don't worry, Your Majesty," Leyna replied respectfully. "Thanks to our preparations, we managed to repel the enemy's attack. Our numbers are superior, and our position is strategic enough to give us the advantage. However..".
Her sentence trailed off, causing Zelda's brows to furrow deeply.
"What is it? Why did you stop?"
Leyna let out a quiet sigh. "Two individuals on the enemy's side stood out. They fought fiercely against Thalon and Luvistar."
Zelda's frown deepened. "Who are they? Do you recognize them?"
"No, I don't," Leyna said. "The man wore a black cloak and a strange mask that completely hid his face. The woman was a Dark Elf, also masked, so I couldn't see her face either."
"But from her fighting style… she seemed like someone who once belonged to the royal family. It's likely she's a traitor who has now sided with the Dark Elves."
Zelda fell silent, her expression gradually returning to calm.
She remembered something Leon had said—about a black-cloaked man appearing in this assault, someone from the 'Temple of Twilight.'
Back then, Zelda had no idea what the Temple of Twilight was. But after hearing Leon's explanation, everything started to make sense.
It was a heretical organization, filled with worshippers who revered the Evil God as their deity.
Zelda herself could never understand how such a universally despised being could be worshipped as a god. Yet she didn't dwell on it for long.
Throughout the recorded history of the Elven race, many traitors from various races had indeed sided with the Evil God.
But in the end, their fate was always the same—tragic and dishonorable—especially after the Evil God was defeated by Demon Emperor Amon Crimson and the human hero Leon had mentioned, Luminus Troya.
It was clear—the black-cloaked man battling Thalon and Luvistar, whose strength matched Thalon's, had to be from the Temple of Twilight.
"But… who is that woman?" Zelda muttered, her brow furrowing with suspicion.
Leyna had said the Dark Elf woman was likely from the royal family.
Yet as far as Zelda knew, no one from the royal lineage had ever turned into a Dark Elf.
"Your Majesty? Are you still there?" Leyna's anxious voice came through the communication device.
Zelda took a deep breath before answering, "Don't worry, I'm still here. For now, hold your ground—stay on the defensive. Once things are settled here, Leon and I will join the battle at once."
Leyna exhaled in relief. "As you command, Your Majesty!"

The war between the Elven race and the Dark Elves erupted along the outer border, right at the barrier protecting Elven territory.
Unlike previous battles between the demon army and humanity, this battlefield was thick with dense, lush trees, creating a chaotic and tense atmosphere.
Amid the turmoil, the Elven army led by Thalon appeared to hold the advantage—though the tide could shift at any moment.
"Don't be afraid, everyone!" one Elven soldier shouted, his voice cutting through the clash.
With skillful precision, he spun his spear and drove it into a Dark Elf attacking from the side.
"Fight those traitors!" another rallying cry spurred the Elven soldiers to press their merciless assault.
But the Dark Elves did not falter. Born of the same race, their skills were equally formidable in battle.
"Kill them! Freedom awaits!" a Dark Elf warrior shouted fiercely.
He swung his sword, striking down an Elven soldier before him. But before he could advance...
*Whizz!*
An arrow zipped through the air, piercing his chest. He staggered, then collapsed.
The battlefield did not fall silent—if anything, the clash intensified, both sides burning with fierce determination and deadly intent.
"This is so chaotic..."
Hiding behind the trunk of a massive tree, Leyna muttered softly, her eyes filled with a mix of confusion and sorrow as she watched the battle unfold. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Life felt incredibly cheap here, and that weight pressed heavily on her chest.
But before she could think any further—
"Hehehe... Little girl, lost wandering the battlefield?"
A sinister laugh echoed from behind.
Startled, Leyna spun around to find two Dark Elf men glaring at her with cold, murderous eyes.
Red markings scarred their bodies, giving them a fearsome, almost grotesque appearance—especially against their dark skin, so unlike that of ordinary elves.
The shock on Leyna's face melted away, replaced by a cold, indifferent calm.
She drew her sword and held it steady before her.
"Stay back, or you'll die. I don't want to kill anyone," she warned.
But the two Dark Elves ignored her, their lips curling into cruel smiles.
"Then prove it," they sneered.
Without hesitation, they drew their daggers and lunged at her with deadly speed.
Leyna sighed softly. "Foolish..."
With a swift diagonal slash, her sword sliced through the air.
*Slash!*
The two enemies' bodies hung suspended in midair before crimson-black blood gushed out, splitting them cleanly in two.
Leyna lightly swung her sword, wiping off the blood before sheathing it.
"If you hadn't forced my hand, I wouldn't have had to kill you. But, unfortunately..."
She shook her head softly, then turned, her gaze growing cold as she stared back at the battlefield.
Bending her knees, she launched herself forward, diving back into the fray.

"Die!"
Thalon lunged at the black-cloaked man, delivering a powerful punch.
*Boom!*
His fist slammed into the ground, shattering the surface and leaving a meter-deep crater.
But as he pulled back, he realized the attack had missed—the man had dodged just in time.
"Tsk! Strong, but not fast enough to catch me," came a mocking voice from above.
Thalon's body tensed. He sprang back instinctively.
*Boom!*
Where he had stood moments before, a far stronger strike smashed the ground, deepening the crater to three meters.
There stood the black-cloaked man, his sword planted at the crater's center.
Thalon's face hardened as he eyed his opponent cautiously.
"This man is truly dangerous…"

A/N: For those who may have forgotten, Leyna is Zelda's personal guard who first appeared in chapter 228.
If you don't recall her, feel free to revisit that chapter. I intentionally kept her absent from the recent chapters since she didn't have a role to play.
Also, she was outside the Elven territory searching for Elina under Zelda's earlier orders.
Thank you for your support—don't forget to keep cheering me on!
