Mummy Evolution-Chapter 69: Toilet
In the bustling city streets of Kemet capital city, Sett walked with Zainah on his back. She seemed visibly pale, her face slick with sweat.
"I wanna die, oh god!"
She groaned, her face green as she flopped her face on Sett’s neck. She had never felt more horrible before. Her body, the entire thing, felt so hot and slimy—not to mention the fact that her stomach never stopped gurgling.
Sett smirked. "Do you want to go again?"
She bit his neck, face redder than ever before. So embarrassing.
Most ancient Kemetan houses didn’t even have toilets, so she had been forced to search for one while holding—things back. If she had any dignity before today, it was all gone now.
Sett had made sure to destroy every piece of it.
At least, he had found a toilet for her.
And luckily for her, Sett had more than enough hygiene materials.
"It had been a looong~ few hours, huh, sis?" Zarah asked from the side.
Zainah hid her face. "Stop! STOP, you two!"
That only got her some more laughs from the duo.
She had spent two entire hours in a random noble woman’s toilet and it still felt as if it weren’t over. Eating Tomb Hearts indeed wasn’t a good thing—it tasted horrible, felt horrible, and was just horrible.
Sett felt Zainah hug him tighter, emotionally hiding her face in his back.
He couldn’t be happier, so he just walked through the streets slowly.
But while none of them, including Sett, was aware of it, something interesting was happening in the toilet that Zainah had left.

"Hey, wench!" A noble woman snarled, her face a mask of irritation.
A young girl, little face carved by knife scars, walked out of the kitchen.
She had been hiding there all this time—only allowed to come out when no one was visiting.
The noblewoman looked at the young girl’s face, and a smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.
She barked: "Go clean that toilet!"
The young girl nodded in fear and ran into the toilet.
Meanwhile, the noblewoman’s irritation became even more prominent.
That man who had come earlier with the woman—the woman so disgusting as to request an entry into strangers toilets—was so handsome.
Was he one of the princes?
He had been so handsome but he barely gave her more than a polite flirty smile.
And... that woman—so disgusting—had been so beautiful.
The noble woman’s teeth itched at the thought.
If it hadn’t been for that man, she would have watched that woman embarrass herself instead. She would have never let such a wench use her toilet.
In fact, she had tried to stop that wench from entering the toilet, but right at that moment, she had become too distracted, thinking that she had to help such a beautiful man’s companion.
But now, she only had hatred for that woman.
Why was that wench born so beautifully?
Seeing the enraged noble lady, the young girl entered the toilet with brushes and buckets in her hand. She wanted to be as far away from her master as possible.
But when she entered the toilet, she was surprised.
It is clean, the person who entered it cleaned it well.
But then again, her job was to clean the toilets, so she did it without complaint. Otherwise, she might have to suffer from knife scars again, after all.
But as she went upto the toilet to see its situation, her expression slowly changed.
Floating there, in the toilet waters, was a small orb.
Hm, what is that?
It glimmered darkly.
Her heartbeat quickened.
She had seen a Tomb Heart before, so she knew what it was.

Meanwhile, the presence of a tall man in simple clothing made Sett and his companions stop in their tracks. The man had blonde hair, blue eyes, and a deep frown. His face was a mask of seriousness, while his body didn’t betray any emotions.
As he watched the man, though, Sett felt a sense of hidden danger.
"Is he the person that gave you the Tomb Hearts?" Sett asked, staring at the man.
The man stared back at him, starting to move closer through the crowd.
Sett felt that the man was a sword cleaving through a river current.
Zainah shook her head, nervous. "That is Shining Gold. Lord Burrhen’s strongest subordinate."
"Silver is nothing compared to him," Sett said, staying where he was without moving.
Zainah climbed out of his back, then hid behind him with Zarah.
They looked at Shining Gold, ready to move.
Sett’s hand clenched in the air.
Soon, the man stood merely meters away.
"You," the man shouted. "Wait!"
Sett squinted.
"Is it revenge you want?" he asked.
Gold pushed away the final bit of the crowd and stood an arm’s length away from Sett.
Silent sparks were exchanged between them, and both of their hearts clenched.
This guy is strong, they both thought in tandem, not worth the fight.
"Friend, there are no eternal enemies," Gold said, raising his arms. "Just as there is no eternal friend. Burrhen was ambitious, but you outplayed him. That’s it."
Sett smirked. "Indeed. Then what do you want?"
"You are strong, I am strong." Gold took a deep breath. "But this Tomb is even stronger than us."

The way Sett had handled Burrhen and his subordinates was enough to show he was someone strong, and having faced him, Gold was certain of it.
Sett smirked. "Are you looking to ally with us?"
The girls immediately went on alert.
"Sett," Zainah said, "He is dangerous."
"He will betray us."
Sett smirked. "Don’t mind the girls, they are just a bit startled."
Gold nodded. "I know you are the leader."
Sett gave him a hand.
Gold shook it.
When they parted, Gold’s hand was shaking.
"Let’s talk in a restaurant," Sett said, making Gold’s hair stand.
To his knowledge, that was what happened to Burrhen.
Zarah and Zainah followed him.
While they were on the move, Zainah whispered, "Isn’t this too dangerous?"
"He is dangerous, don’t get it wrong, but that is also what makes him a worthy ally. Reliable? No. But useful? Obviously. And don’t worry, I am with you."
He walked near Gold. Then asked, "You do have some information to share, right?"
Gold nodded.
"Of course I do, information sharing is the most important goal for me with this alliance."
