After Dante had managed to approach Netherius and landed a powerful punch on his chest, the ghostly figure of Beatrice summoned a sword out of thin air and stabbed the necromancer in the shoulder.

By that point in the battle, Balthazar was already out for the count, and Asphodel was running purely on adrenaline as her injuries were quite severe.

Netherius himself was wobbling while trying to stay on his feet, and Dante's body was feeling strained after using so much 'ether' magic.

Varamor, the Dragon King, tried to keep fighting with one arm, but when he sensed a couple of new presences nearby, Dante ordered him to investigate.

The death ichor that covered the necropolis was completely gone, with only a few necrotic cores remaining in random places that would be easy to deal with once the battle was over.

As more of Netherius' bone armor crumbled, a piece of his mask covering his mouth broke apart, showing the necromancer's serious expression lying underneath.

"How truly bothersome…" Netherius commented under his breath, standing merely a few meters away from the warlock.

"Two times, Hellslayer… You've messed with my life's plans two times!" He continued, though Dante didn't give him much of a reaction.

"It's not like I was hunting you down. You just happened to get in my way both times," Dante replied, clenching his fists, barely maintaining his transformation active.

"I told you this back then as well. I don't give a damn about your business, as long as it doesn't affect me," Dante continued, weakly changing his stance and raising his guard.

Deep down, Dante was well aware that he wasn't all that different from Netherius. It was as if he was looking at a version of himself that never met Beatrice, which would have led him to a similar path of destruction.

Even during their first encounter in Terra, Dante considered leaving the necromancer alone. However, the rest of his party convinced him otherwise, leading to Netherius' first death.

As the two of them faced each other in the midst of the ruined district, they had no more energy to conjure their Mythic Relics.

They could still cast one or two spells, but with so little magical power, it would leave them utterly vulnerable if they were to miss.

When Dante rushed forward, his hair seemed to change colors from white to black, alternating every few seconds as he couldn't continuously keep the transformation active.

Their fists clashed and produced a small shockwave from the impact, followed by dozens of punches and kicks.

While Dante was able to either block or evade several of Netherius' attacks, the necromancer still landed a few hits on his stomach and an uppercut to the chin that almost made him fall on his back.

Whenever the warlock landed a fist, more pieces of Netherius' armor crumbled apart, and when he saw an opening in the necromancer's defense, the ghostly figure of Beatrice seemed to envelop Dante's arm.

With his arm producing a golden hue, Dante clenched his teeth and used the rest of his strength to land the punch right on Netherius' gut, prompting the rest of the bone armor to implode and shatter.

Beatrice's figure dissipated right after the impact, fully converting Dante to his usual form while Netherius was pushed almost ten meters away from him. Still, somehow, the necromancer didn't fall.

After landing his last punch, Dante knelt down as his body had completely run out of strength, and when he noticed that Netherius was still standing, he clenched his teeth, expecting to receive an attack in return.

Nevertheless, Netherius' bone armor had completely disappeared, leaving the necromancer's body utterly exposed with nothing but a pair of tattered pants.

Even so, he still had a small amount of power, and relishing the opportunity, Netherius' eyes widened as the remaining of his necrotic energy shrouded his body, generating a gigantic and shadowy humanoid monster behind him.

Still, right when Netherius rejoiced, believing the battle would end, Dante switched his gaze upwards and spotted none other than Asphodel.

The vampire mother was holding her mythic relic like a dagger, falling from the sky with an evil grin on her face and her body covered in blood and wounds.

Realizing what was happening, Netherius quickly changed targets and commanded the shadowy monster to protect him from Asphodel's attack, prompting the shadow to cover the necromancer with its body.

When Asphodel's weapon made contact, there was a loud explosion that blinded Dante for a brief moment, making him slowly crawl his way forward to check on Asphodel's condition. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

As the smoke and dust dissipated, Dante saw a crater on the ground and peeked inside, finding Asphodel unconscious beside the dying body of Netherius.

*Panting* "Hellslayer… No, Dante," Netherius called the warlock.

"The way you are now… You won't stand a chance," he continued, and Dante stayed silent to let him finish.

"Hah… They are already here." He said, stopping for a brief second as his body turned to dust. "Good luck. I'll see you in hell."

With the last of his words being a sarcastic remark, Netherius body turned to ashes, prompting Dante to exhale and flop on his back with exhaustion.

The necropolis had been cleansed, and the culprit was dead. 'I'll let the others take care of the rest…' Dante thought, feeling his eyelids getting heavier.

Not even two minutes after Netherius' death, Dante felt the presence of numerous people approaching his location, which prompted him to force his eyes open and crawl towards Asphodel.

His senses weren't as sharp as usual since the exhaustion in his body was hindering him, but he could tell that the people approaching weren't part of his team.

"Hey, Asphodel. Wake up," Dante muttered while gently slapping the vampire's face.

"Get us out here," He continued, barely able to speak.

Still, the vampire mother didn't wake up as her exhaustion had taken the best of her, so Dante decided to drag her out of the crater in an attempt to hide from the mysterious group.
